I have no musical talent - can't be of much assistance here guys. Though I can make sound effects lol - kinda like that policeman in Police Academy, except nowhere near as talented.

Meh don't even mention anything about piano exams... mine's coming up in August but I barely practice anymore... I lost interest in my exam stuff when I started teaching myself guitar and modern songs on the piano.

D:< How can you? You need to practice in order to get a good score!

I know, but classical music isn't my life any more... it's easy the first few grades but after Grade 4 I lose the fun in it. Especially with my short memory in remembering certain things... put it in a way that scales aren't my favorite thing.

Scales? It's a little bit harder in grade 5 but after that it's really easy. (They're really similar.)

I'm doing Grade 5. Just wish everything was as easy as chromatic scales XD

I used to play flute when I was in 4th grade in a school band program and its by far the most simplest and beautiful sounding instrument to play. n__n Apart from flute, I really want to learn guitar sometime.

I always wanted to play flute when I was younger but my parents only let me choose between learning piano or violin - And I didn't want to play violin.

I started teaching myself guitar last year. Everyone tells me that I'm skilled cause I taught myself, but to be honest it's not that hard and I think just about anyone can teach themselves guitar as long as they have the determination to learn

I'm totally not musical in nature at all... English isn't my first language, so it's rather difficult for me in canadian elementary schools... and sadly enough, even my English marks (B-) are much higher than my music mark in grade 6 (C)

Yeahhhhh staying far away from musical instruments, with the exception of using them to hit people.

To be honest, getting taught can only go a certain way, once you get the hang of an instrument it's best to leave lessons and create your own music and learn by yourself, that way you learn what you want and can play the music you feel is your style.

It's what I did with my guitar lessons, they were going nowhere and I hated the music we were learning.

That's what I'm going to do when I finish Grade 5 in my piano. Although I have to say If it wasn't for piano I wouldn't have able to learn any other instrument like guitar, harmonica and glockenspiel so quickly.

Gonna go to bed, won't reply after this ~night

I playeddd saxophone in band for three years cos I'm awesome like that but I quit because of my demon band instructor in high school. :( I've also tried to play piano and guitar but I can't because I'm bad at themmmmmm. ;o;

I used to play the flute :3 And the piano. But I've always wanted to be better at playing the guitar. I want to buy one, but not a cheap one... and I don't have much money atm.

I've done a bit of music here and there. In primary school they had this music program where you could either learn Guitar or Piano. I did Guitar for a little while, but was then ripped off, since mine needed a bridge, and he gave me a bit of wood and a lollipop stick to use instead of actually fixing it.

High school I did Keyboard primarily, since that's the main thing they offered. I got pretty okay at it. Then I changed to Saxophone because it was different. I did that for about a year and gave up. I did Bass Guitar for a few weeks, which I might even pick up again if I can teach myself (which I probably can). Aaand yeah. I wanted to do Music in year 11, but apparently it clashed with all my other lessons, which kinda sucked. I would stay true to the Keyboard, even if he didn't care about those people. Just meant an easier grade for me. :P But yeah, anyway, I wasn't allowed, and then the next year, a few weeks into the new term he asked me why I wasn't doing it. Of course, I just gave the o_O face. :)

And that's my musical journey so far. I wouldn't mind learning drums, bass, piano and other cool things. :D
