So much hate for villages?

Sure, there's nothing to do here (save for a pub, and village events in the hall), but we're only three miles from the nearest town here. I can see it from my bedroom window. I work there. I can drive and there's good public transport for the most part. I go out with my friends and have a good time all the time. =/

It's so peaceful here. I can go to sleep without listening to traffic, and wake up to a mass of birdsong. My dad has lived in this very house all 61 years of his life. We have a huge garden. And there's a green belt around the village prohibiting further development, full of rabbits, deer, horses, sheep and cows. I come from two farming families, maybe that's why I love it so much.

(Although I can't say our house is beautiful - it's one of six semi-detached yellow brick ex-Council houses built in the 1920s...to be honest, I never look at the outside).

There's only one city I can stand, and its name is Plymouth.

There isn't any love for villages because they aren't overcrowded in population and have crime rates up the wazoo. They are boring. :O
Sigh... You have no idea. :(

I had netzero. Trust me, I have a good idea.

You can't just decide that something is boring. Like I said above, something that might be boring for you, might be perfectly exciting for someone else. It might even be that people like the quiet, which makes it perfectly fine for them to live in a place like the village.

Different people have different likes.

I'd have no problem with a village thats close to a town.

But if I had to go 30+ miles just to get to some good stores I'd probably drop dead.

I'm interested to know something, Luck, if you're the undeniable emperor of the Earth does this mean you override Apple as president?

That's a tough question :/

I'm the undeniable emperor of the earth, but apple controls more than 60% of the emperor work(such as making wheels round.) A watered down oligarchy in a way(that is the one where there are symbolic people with little power right?)

The word village is primitive? This "primitive" language is also known as English.

I'd much rather live in a village, like Camisado said, it's more peaceful. There's also a stronger sense of community, most people in a small village will know each other.
If you live in a city you can never get away from it; whereas if you live in the country you can always travel to a city and spend the day there if you want to.

I thought the word 'village' was a French derivative, from the word 'ville' which translates to town? o: Don't mind me, I'm being pensive. XD

Villages seem like very nice places to live. I live in a small town between two large conurbations.

See, now you're mixing up my statement.
I said that it "sounded" primitive. The actual word isn't. :P Seriously, "c'mon! Lets go back to the village!" sounds like something right out of Time Machine. Xd

In any case, I'm sure villages are nice in their own way, but just like being -- just like... Getting on message boards about an anime that is looked at in the American public eye as "as nerdy as it gets" and posting on said message board all day: its not for everyone. ^^"

Somebody's going to hate it, don't hate them for it.

PS: The second part after "in any case" was aimed at the general user base, not Vendak.

I think it'd be awesome to live in a tiny little village. Then again, I live in the middle of nowhere seriously, nothing's here so I might be slightly biased. I love living in a small town, though.

I drove through Tennessee once. "Through" as in I entered and was like "where'd the life forms go?" XD

Apparently benadryl was mobile tsk/glitter stain.
I'm pretty sure that her IP address will be banned, if it wasn't banned before.

I drove through Illinois and all of the houses were absolutely broken down.
I was like :O

Are we talking about places we've driven through once...? XD I've done that plenty of times..
