I used to text 24/7 when I was like, in grade school and as a freshman. then my parents got me unlimited texting and I kinda stopped texting all the time. I don't use the phone in general as much, I only get texts when my friends need to reach me and I only speak with friends who I haven't talked to in a while.

it may be an age thing? I know that freshman/sophomores are on their phones religously where as no one in my class has gotten caught with a phone in a long time.

That's completely different from when I was still in High School...people got caught all of the time with their cell phones, in every grade level. They also annoyed me with that stupid mosquito ringtone (that thing hurts my ears).

XD I was already too old to hear that when that was introduced(but just barely-I could hear a faint murmur, but that was it). I suppose it would have been interesting to hear that going off all day during school, XD.

I really hate that ringtone where a Indian guy keeps saying "Pick up the {blurt}ing phone." and it constantly gets louder and louder until of course, someone picks it up just before he starts swearing constantly off.

Thank god they banned it though at school.

I put my cell phone on vibrate just so when I got a call I wouldn't have my phone taken away or get a dirty look from the teacher. I still keep it on vibrate because I can actually hear it quite well even if I don't feel it =P

yeah its old news now.
only like 4 people are still using crystal avas

Sometimes I wonder why people can't learn how to type fast on the keyboard. I've seen tons of people who can type fast on their phone, and yet they type terribly slow on the computer. Although, I guess I should take it into consideration that I type terribly on a phone, but that may be due to extreme lack of not using it. I could probably type fast if I ever had the need to and practiced enough, though.

People who can type faster on their phone usually have their phone out, typing on it, more than they are on the computer. But if they don't, then they're just lazy and don't want to take the time to learn how to type faster. Which woudl ave them time, if you think about it...

Yeah, it probably is due to laziness. Those people who were always texting were also always on a computer. I can understand typing faster on what you use the most, though (such as with me and a computer).

I always put it on vibrate, considering that all the songs on my phone suck (In my opinion at least).
The only time I don't use vibrate is whenever I have to, by that I mean when I can't feel the vibration.

Every since I got it, my phone's been on vibrate. Not for the same reason as you, but because I despise people knowing I'm talking to someone else while I'm in their company and because having Chris Brown singing in the middle of English class isn't necessarily looked on as an educational experience.

That Crystal fad needs to die.

I dunno. If it wasn't for Kayashi and his banner making skills, I'd still have a Farfetch'd accompanying my posts.

It's not really fair to say someone should be fast at typing on the keyboard if he's able to text at lightning speed; we're not talking about two things that are exactly like each other (unless you have one of those modern business phones that has a keyboard instead of the usual digit buttons). I only use my phone for calling people; so I'm terribly slow at texting. I'm always on the computer though, so my typing speed is pretty fast. It's not a question of being good at one to be good at both, really.

I have a touch screen keybord on my phone so thats all well and good...problem is its an "azerty" key board so i end up sending a load of nonsense to people

French-speaking countries use AZERTY.

Speaking of keyboard layouts, I want an ABCDE one for the obvious reason that it's alphabetical.
Oh, that would mess me up big time, XD. I am so used to the QWERTY layout.

You see, I didn't realize how little I actually look at my keyboard until I had a friend of mine typing with it. He suddenly froze, saying he couldn't find the 'N' key. When I went over to point it out, I realized that the 'N' was no longer, having been faded out. It had probably been like that for over a year, but that was the first time I noticed. :D

I then quickly scanned the keyboard, and I noticed that the 'S' symbol had long since faded as well. XDD

I'm used to only the US QWERTY and the Canadian Multilingual keyboard... and the second is just a configuration I use; I don't actually own any non-US keyboards. XD; I find it so confusing to use other ones sometimes.

I don't text much so I don't really need a QWERTY config on my phone. :/ I can deal with texting slow because of it.

How layouts do Japanese keyboards have? That's always been bugging me.
