I recently read "Stuck In Neutral" which is basically a story about life through the eyes of a mentally disabled teenager who believes his father might be trying to "relieve his suffering". It's short, but is very good.

Sounds like the radically-shortened plot of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime."

Anyone here read the Demonata series?

I've been with reading Darren Shan's books ever since my grandmother first bought me Cirque Du Freak for my birthday.

I thought the Demonata Saga was pretty good up until last year, when I realised that it was all just a mixture of death, pain and gore.

I loved the few Stephen King books that I read. 'Salem's Lot and The Shining was very entertaining, and although my dad insisted that they were incredibly scary books, I managed to get through them without losing any sleep =P

I don't see how people cant sleep after seeing or reading something scary, I always sleep like a stonexD

I've found that if I can't fall asleep, I just have to stack my two pillows on top of each other. And if, in another scenario, I can't fall asleep with my pillows like that, I just have to lay them out beside each other.

im a weirdo

I listen to audobooks to fall asleep...XD; They get me tired very quickly. But I tend to listen to music a lot also. If I'm not really tired, I'll listen to music for a bit, then switch to the book and I am out. I have insomnia so sleep is a luxery...:x

Music is so soothing. I listen to it whenever I can. Audiobooks are just... really lame to me.

I listen to Snow by the Red Hot Chili Hot Peppers to fall asleep.

Gets me asleep a lot except for those nights where you just can't fall asleep..

Ooooo, I remember when my whole class in grade 8 was so into Darren Shan, Cirque Du Freak haha. I loved those books! I've tried to read the Demonata series but I haven't read far into any of the books. Are they good?

Anyone ever read the book "Cut?" I did, and I couldn't stop laughing the whole time.

Oh, I read The Langoliers a few months back, and finally got the movie, so I'm going to watch it now :P

You have to find the good ones. XD; They're not lame, I'm capable of reading real books though. But it's kinda nice to just listen to it sometimes. Especially if you don't want/can't read right then. Like if it's night time. :3

If you can't read then how'd you get the audiobook...?

I like them. Their pretty much just like the Cirque Du Freak series, but has to do with normal humans who have to deal with magical transformations and powers that have to do with the demon apocalypse.

I sound like a nerd.
