Wow...C++ sure is.... Complex...

Can I use C instead in a .cpp file? If not I'll stick to Basic, or even Java now that I have a base on that as well @~@.

I remember learning ActionScript in my senior year of high school (which was last year). That was fun. I really like messing with it.
C uses a .c file extension, but it is possible to mix the two languages together. (I have no idea how to do it, though.)
By the way, C/C++ and Java are both fairly similar, though they also have a lot of differences.

Yeah, Actionscript is rather fun. =D

Java and C++ are complex, I daresay (C++ more so, IIRC), but are better, more-organised and more powerful languages to use once you get the hang of it than Visual Basic.

They are powerful. I don't know how many times I've gotten a segmentation fault (I think it's called a "page fault" in Windows) from crappy C code. It's a fun language to mess around with, though. I love it.

I'm taking a C++ class this semester. It's relatively easy so far, but then again it _is_ high school level XD

lmao, it pisses me off though. Other then this programming class I've taken a web design class, yet I still need to take a Keyboarding class to graduate :/ I mean, my entire schooling is on the internet... how would I even do it if I couldn't type? XD

Taking the keyboarding class also annoyed me, but it was incredibly easy. I always had high speeds and passed it easily.
C++ isn't necessary for having a site, and actually, neither is Java. HTML, CSS, and PHP (or some other server-side language) are mainly what you need to know for that.

I know, but It's better to learn everything so that your website will be more user-friendly and generally better.

Fun side fact: semester in my language means "holiday" :3

I've learned the CSS I needed to poke around and design blogs and forums. I think I may have forgotten it again though...

I want to be educated in America. Having those sorts of options here is unheard of. The only option I ever had was two GCSEs.

I hope to learn Jave and C++ once I get to college. It is nessecary to learn it if you want to make a really good website.
I think a good website is one where there is no excessive flash and formatting, no shiny menu bars and all that. Take Wikipedia's pages as an example. A moderate level of HTML and CSS will be all that is necessary for such a site.
And like Lisa said in The Simpsons, "you can't just make a website and expect people to visit it. You need to offer them something", so unless you're working for a company maintaining their website, having one simply to have it ends up being an empty prospect.

Seeing as the topic is still that scary C stuff, I'll copypasta my TCTI post here

Guys, I'm so happy.

As if by some crazy, amazing, hand of God miracle, my teachers decided to give away report cards next Monday.
I have a whole week of freedom left!

... Nothing wrong with a piece of paper (or is it thin cardboard? we don't have report cards in this country) that says what your expected(?) grades are in a subject.

Ha, you must not know the whole story.

I got a D in the most evil class, but I wont rant on about that. I wasn't anticipating report cards because that would mean my parents would see my D and I would get grounded for like, ever xD

So yea, I'm happy now :D

Haha. I'm finishing up my (hopefully last) semester of community college. I'm rocking a B, B+, A-, A, and A for my 5 courses at midsemester point. Our semester ends after finals in the second week of May. Then summerrrrr yayyyyyyy. XD

I got into my #2 transfer school, and I really want to go there now since #1 seems unlikely and #3/4 are state schools that are in the middle of Nowhere, NY.

We're just waiting for financial aid..I'm praying every night we get enough/get a plan to assist in me attending said school. I can't bear living at home another year. Not to mention, the class times available are DREADFULLY awful here, I seriously cannot take Chemistry at my community college without driving 45 minutes to school for a 6-9pm lab. I can't drive anymore, I'm so sick of it. Dorm room pleeeeeeaseeee.

Aiyh, I have gotten student loans forever, and they're driving me mad. Last summer, they made a new rule saying that I couldn't use my student card for I.D. when picking up my loan(though ironically, said card is still fine for proving who I am in all other situations, such as voting). So I had to wait a month before I could get my money, living on loans from my little brother until I got my hands on an Age of Majority Card. >_<

But what's worse than late money is not enough money. That is what happened this winter, and what has caused me to start my summer job in February. But heh, it worked out nicely. Though I am determined to pay for next year without government loans. ^_^

Wait. I'm being stupid, right? It's usually very hot near the equator methinks. How do you define "cold", Ookami? :p

Sorry, this post is really late, but I might as well answer...

Don't worry, you weren't being stupid at all, I think I made it kinda confusing. xS

The coldest it ever got here...was in the winter, when the water from a big puddle in the school field froze overnight.

The coldest in NC... Idk. In MD, Idk too XD

Ah, I've been under a lot of stress. Homework, moving back to Maryland... But there are benefits.

If I get all my homework done and pass, I get to keep a Wii =D

If I move back to Maryland, I'll get to see my friends again \o/

Is your current location on your side-bar profile your...current location? XD Because it sounds exotic, but I could be wrong.

Although yay for moving back. I've never moved...I hope I don't. Well..i mean when I find a job and get my own place, yeah I'll go, but until then my oasis in upstate NY is wonderful.
