I have a friend who calls himself a Pokémon nerd. He can hardly name a single Pokémon from 3rd gen. Hasn't played a game since Crystal. And I personally don't like the 4th gen much...

I wouldn't call myself a Pokémon nerd, but i'm pretty much exactly the same.
 
Well, he is the one who calls himself that ^^ I say he's a noob ;p And I can't even call myself a pokémon nerd, compared to other people I know. And just so you know, I don't use "nerd" as a negative term here :3 Just to show that somebody knows/likes a lot about a specific thing. That's a nerd in my head~ Just wanted to point that out. Many others think of the word "nerd" as... something bad.

Yeah, I get you. I still wouldn't call myself a nerd in any sense of the word. My knowledge for RBY/GSC is decent enough but I definately wouldn't say i'm an expert. I guess most of it comes down to the fact i've played the earlier Gen games to death.
 
Playing the earlier games to the death is rather commendable xD The earlier games have that feeling that the latter lack, I think. I guess it has something to do with how old you are... :p if you were young when RBY/GSC were new, you like them better. That solution isn't always correct, but often :)

I fully agree with you. Maybe it's because I grew up with the games so feel a certain attachment to them, but I can look past the simplistic battling and poor(er) graphics and still enjoy playing through them to this day ^^

In seriousness, i've never glitched my proper games but i've glitched roms before. I have to admit it is quite amusing.

I'm currently playing through Yellow where i've got Eevee and JUST Eevee. I've completely skipped the Pallette Town intro so I don't have Pikachu and I don't have a Pokédex xD
 
Glitches are awesome. XD;;

On another note, because this is where all weird happenings are laid bare: my full-health Floatzel lost to a paralysed Mudkip in the Battle Arcade. How awesome am I? XD
 
I prefer playing the acual game to rom versions >.>
 
Technically they are the real games, just on a different platform, and illegal.

What I like to do is move at like..2000% speed and train my starter to level 36 on the first route. :P Then move on.
 
I hate those swimming costume hangers.

I was trying some swimming costumes on for my holiday, and when I had finished trying them on, I tried to put them back on their hangers~ It is so hard. I was like fighting with it, and I was getting really frustrated. I was trying to put one back on it's damn hanger but I was doing it wrong, so the swimsuit snapped back and hit me in the face~

I can't really be bothered to do that >.>; I just go along the game as I would if I were playing it on a system.
