There's actually an official adapter that enables you to use your XBox 360 controllers on your PC.
Performance-wise, it varies. Depends on the game, and the console it's being compared to... Xbox 360 games are more prone to locking up because of the combination of the hardware and not actually having anything but the save file written to the hard drive (meaning the game information has to be pulled off of the disc as you're playing), whereas a PC and a PS3 both install some or most of the software to their hard drives. And a PC can have access to more RAM, and isn't stuck at older bus speeds (how fast the data moves onto, around, and off of the system board and to other components) from two or three years ago. A console will typically have better graphic processing speeds because they use multiple video cards, though.
I see where that leads, but I guess people need to have a little insight on how the PC's internal hardware works and compliments certain assets. Which I don't think I posses at all. XD
Is there a difference in the quality of a game...?
Control-wise I think it would be pretty more comfortable on a console..
But what about the game's performance?
