What's the best April Fools joke you've been part of or heard of? (: gonna prank anybody this year?

I'm SCREAMING @ the events of the last half hour

my 17 year old brother texted my mum and told her he was gonna become a father and then didn't pick up the phone for five minutes
it was soooo believable bc he was like 'Hi mum hope you're having a good day bc you're gonna read this and hate me for a while but I'm gonna be a father' and that way of 'hi hope you're having a good day/bomb drop' is exactly how he breaks bad news
and she was screaming every curse in the dictionary & beyond while trying to get hold of him
and then once she got hold of him she started going off at him in french bc she couldn't think in english
and then he said april fools and she collapsed onto the couch after hanging up instantly

Awwww man I haven't done anything in years. When I was a kid, I put a deck of cards and cotton balls on the blades of our fans so that when my parents turned on the lights, they flew everywhere.

I also put hair ties around the spray things attached to the faucets so when my parents turned on the faucet, they'd get sprayed with water.

They did not appreciate either of those things but I had a ball.

A few months ago my school installed these fancy new projectors without bothering to install any security on them, so any idiot with an app could take over them and project whatever they wanted. Me and some friends did this at the time, and eventually the teachers figured out a way to block us from connecting.

Recently I found a way around this, as well as more loopholes in the security. I had to do a little coding myself to take full advantage of these, but now I can
    - remotely project any image or video
    - disable and enable projectors
    - freeze frame projectors
    - change the input device
    - zoom in and out
    - raise or lower the volume
    - connect to multiple projectors at once
    - swap the inputs of two or more projectors
    - mess with any of the display settings, such as color balance, brightness and resolution

I tested some of these today, but most of them I've been saving for tommorow >:)
TLDR: I'm less of a "prankster" and more accurately described as "complete troll dbag".

I've really never been a part of cool or interesting pranks :( At least not on AFD haha. I might try and get one of my friends this year though 8) He's moving away and I'd like to have a little fun before he does

I haven't been a part of any April Fool's prank that I enjoyed. And I won't prank anyone because I'm not good at tricking people anyway. Basically, I dislike this holiday intensely and don't hang around anyone who pranks me. If you did try to prank me, you'd probably end up irritating me instead. Not many people sync to my sense of humor, and only one person could prank me and get me to be a good sport about it. But he wouldn't do that anyway.

People think that I'm just a grump or something who doesn't like to have fun. I just have a different sense of humor from most people who enjoy this holiday, it seems. It isn't my idea of a fun time to deceive people unless it involves a pleasant surprise, in which case, it's not a prank anymore.

I've always liked tricking people yet never do anything for AFD. I guess I just do it often in normal life that I never thought to do it on April 1st. When I lived in the same state as my family I always used to trick and prank my two younger brothers and my mom. They were always good sports and would try and get me back all the time. They were never crazy pranks that would cause worry, just fun pranks to get a good laugh. I remember at one point it turned into a war 24/7 trying to prank each other back and forth. My mom's favorite prank was whenever she was in the kitchen and I was getting myself a drink or some food she would put my cup or plate somewhere else or back in the cabinet. Then I would come back and be like "did I even grab myself a cup" or "oh I forgot to get a plate". My mom would always die laughing and since I am forgetful of things i fell for that stupid trick every time. Lol

This year, I made a truce with my friend to not prank each other. However, she immediately broke this truce and thus declared a prank war for the rest of april fools day. It got ridiculous very quickly, but we set rules so we couldn't do anything mean that you upset the other person, just silly and slightly embarrassing stuff. It was all good fun, but we know each other really well, so we know what the other would find funny.
