Most of the kitmakers use generic designs and just apply the team's logo, sponsor and colours to it.
Observe the Middlesbrough 2012/13 home kit.
And then the Swindon 2012/13 away kit.
The Swindon picture actually came up on the search for the Boro kit, which I guess means this point has been made somewhere before.
Anyway just to further cement my point...
Boro away 12/13
Bristol City home 12/13
Must admit that I haven't seen this year's Boro designs repeated anywhere, but then the home kit is awful so I doubt many teams would've accepted it.
