BreD; Hmm, maybe a different font for "Sasuke"... and maybe get rid of the 'BreD'. xD If you're going for a credit by putting your name on it, try putting it in a less conspicuous place. I personally like the second one better, because the render's eyes and colors are sharper. The lightning that I'm pretty sure came with the render helps blend it with the background, especially since you brushed over the lightning. I don't like the scanlines on the first one. xD; Cover the whole thing render included, or crank down the opacity on 'em.

Shiranui; Well, I'm pretty sure you know what I'm going to say about the left. So, I'm not going to say it. xD Because you're probably tired of hearing it. The smudging is great and the render really fits into the banner. The lighting is awesome, and those little flecks of reddish and yellowish light are a really nice touch. (Light texture...?) Color scheme is perfect. ^^

-edit-

You post too fast Myokai. xD I'll edit in a rating in just a second.

Myokai; Erggg.... I really really hate that foggy border thing... xD;; And I've never been a fan of that rain effect either, (because I don't think it looks like rain at all.) and the text is still the same as ever. As I said earlier, it's obvious you didn't render the image because of the white cut-off against the banner, and that's a major no-no. I don't really like the flecks of cyan either. You should find a render of Hitsugaya like that (there's one at Planet Renders I think) and make him stand out a little more color-wise. Maybe play with brightness and contrast, since he seems a little monochromatic. Sorry, but I really don't like this banner at all. xD; Most of this applies to your Fai banner as well. (Although the one currently in your sig looks really pixellated around the edges, which is almost as bad as having that white line that screams 'Not Rendered'.)

I know, I was just showing I could make rain images.
I made another one I think looks a lot better.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

You like it?

That picture of Fai looks like it should be a sunny, bright image, not a dark, dreary one. The light you have on the left completely contrasts what you have with the rain. No offense, but you have some major issues with coloring... These blotches of color can't work. No more. ;-; And Fai looks washed out in comparison to everything else. Please stop using the rain. Dx

Nothing new, so prz just rate my latest. xD

Try blending the stock in more, it's a bit big for my tastes also. Not a fan of scanlines either, pretty good though. 7.5/10

C+CC appreciated

It is good, i dont know what you have used for the effects, but a good banner overall 8/10
EDIT: the lighting is alright but you could have done without it, but i dont know much else to say for it, maybe a border would have been nice

Hey guys, no offense, but lately the comments have really sucked. If you don't have time to rate, don't post until you do, problem solved.

Spend a little time to tell people what about it is good, what about it is bad, what needs to be improved, etc. We're not here to be told "It's good" or "It's bad".

@ Master Dookie: That is a great banner! Usually I do not like that many effects, but that is really cool. I actualy used that render before, and I did the same thing. Used c4ds to make effects and it looks really good. But I think you did a better job placing and blending them. Otherwise I find the c4d takes to much of the attention and is a little to flashy. The lighting is verry effective. I really have nothing to say to critisize this besides try bleding the render a little more, to give that feeling the c4ds are attatched to him. *ooooh spooky!*

Keep up the swell work!

@ Demidian: That is pretty good Demidian! Like Master Dookie said before me try bleding the image into the bg a little more. Also try and use a 150px white soft brush on the tob right hand corner of the sig to add a little more lighting. And maybe just to add more effects add a clipping mask layer , sorry I dont know how to do clipping mask on GIMP tho.

Ok this is something I made after I found this cool stock.

Looks really good, but can you change the color at all? It looks kinda bland, but the way you put the light source were Naruto's rasengan is cool. Maybe add some text, and you'll have a nice banner.

I made two versions, one is a rain image and one isn't.

Could someone tell me which one they like better?

Ello peoples, I am back!
@Antasitia R.: I think it looks intresting. The scanlines were a nice touch,
and the text was nice. I like the render as well. It is plain though. You need to add
more brushes and things. Only a few stars won't do the trick ;D
@Demidian: Wow, have you improved! The size is iffy, but the text is in a cool place lol. The Render and texture(s) blend in well. DId you add any c4ds? It's okay, but mabye add some brushes and somthing to make it better.
@MasterDookie: Wow, thats way better than rosalina. did you make that yourself? Very nice effect, and the plainess makes it better. I'm still wondering how
to do that kind of effect :/ oh well. Ncie job, very good banner.
@El Capitino: Wow, have you improved! I love the style! Realky good! The color is great, the pics are nicely rendered, keep up the good work!
@Myokai: No offense, but I hate animations.. But lests see abput the first one :p
It is an okay banner, I guess. The border is fine (needs to learn new borders, though :/)
Annd the iamge is blended (i think) but the text bothers me for some reason.. Mabye lower
the opacity and try a different font?

Also, I have some to be rated:

So, Xenocrates, how's that ^^

That was perfect Mizt. ;D

In return...
Mizt;

Well, I could say you're getting better at text and placement, but remember that text isn't the best medium to use to fill up space. If your 'N' is going to be that big, you'll want to size down all of it. xD; Because it's big and distracting since you've lowered the opacity on growlithe. You should apply some more of those starry brushes behind growlithe to even it out. I also like to keep my text at roughly the same (or a little more) opacity as my main brush. It helps to keep the text from standing out too much. The border is alright. Definitely better than a thick border, but maybe you could make it a white-inside black-outside border, if you know what I mean. xD;

Definite improvement though, you're getting there.

The second one not quite so much though. xD;

Something about Kings at the top.... I can read the rest though. xD; I don't know what that font is, but I don't like it at all. xD; It doesn't seem like it can be applied as a 'Graphical Font', unlike Impact with vector banners or Georgia or something. The quilt-like overlay thing bothers me as well... It definitely helps blend, but there's not single bright spot in this banner, and the Lucario is just as dark as the right side of the banner, thus the lighter left side doesn't really help the situation. And since it's a dark banner, it'd do well with a border. Darker banners tend to call for borders, and lighter ones don't.

CME; Agh! I've been meaning to rate this banner and I just forget every time. *Facedesk* Well, I love the cloudy sky effect in the back and the- Holy crap! That's a brush. *facedesk* For the longest time I thought those flowery things behind her hair was her hair. *wasn't looking closely enough* Ahem. Anyway, I love the red light. It's well positioned, but the solid middle looks a little big, so it's a little distracting after awhile. The text is amazling. The drop shadow is great, and really helps it pop out just enough. ^^ The clone stamping is great as well, and even though it fit a little better in the last banner of yours, it looks just as good here. The color scheme and mix is really smooth as well. <3

Myokai; I thank you from the bottom of my heart for not using that foggy border. <333 But the border still isn't quite there. xD; I think you should try sticking with either no border, or a white 1 px border outlined by a black 1 px border for now, and just take a look at other people and how they do borders and don't hesitate to copy it and see how it looks with your banner. xD Um, the rain effect doesn't look good ever. Dx; Well, it looks moderately okay when the banner itself is entirely grayscale, but even then it's a horrible effect. You should use a font that isn't quite so pixellated. :/ Pixellated fonts are super big no-no. It doesn't look blended at all, but the monotonous color helps, I suppose.

@Mizt
I think Lucario should be facing the other way, and be more central. The text should be more of finishing touch, not a main part of the sig...
It needs to be abit brighter, especialy on Lucario.

The Growlithe one rocks, it's nice and simple ^^ But he should be the centre of attension not the text, maybe higher the opacity and move the text to the side and put growlithe where the text was.
Nice banners. You've improved ^^

i made 2 versions... because my laptops brightness is abit weird.

Shiranui;; thanks, ill try and work on cleaning up my work next time, i will use more effects like c4ds, but i dont have a clue what clipping masks are, please explain?
I can't really explain clipping masks D: And I'm pretty sure GIMP has them.

Er, try searching for 'GIMP Clipping Mask Tutorial' in Google. I think that'll help.

BreD;; Meh, I don't know much about sprite banners... The effects are okay, but for some reason it looks kind of plain. I don't like the fact that everything looks so 'smooth' (like, the background) compared to the sprite. Also, I don't like how Gengar is just standing at the bottom of the banner, but I guess it's better than it floating in the middle of the canvas. And I think that the spiral-y circle things around it (pen tool?) are pretty cool, and combined with the sprite pose, it almost looks like Gengar is summoning something o____o And, er, I don't really know what to suggest. I guess it looks a bit bland. Try using something else but a C4D for the background. More colours would look good, I think. Oh, and text placement definitely needs some work. I think you should either remove the text completely, or try and find another place to put it. The border colour stands out a bit too much, so, er, try picking a different colour. But it doesn't look too bad.

мizt;; Those are pretty good. For the Veemon/Ex-Veemon one, I like the rough texture of the banner (but maybe it's a bit too strong). Image placement is okay, although the Ex-Veemon image should have been placed under the Veemon one, since I see lines overlapping Veemon's hand. Text placement needs a little work, although it doesn't look too bad at the moment. However, my main complaint is the colour. That aqua-ish blue makes it more difficult to see the images. So it looks like the images have completely blended into the background. And that isn't a good thing. Also, the random spatters near the bottom of the image, and the white line at the top seem out of place. Maybe try adding more spatters all around, so those lonely spatters don't stand out on their own. I like the line at the left of the banner, too. Maybe add something of that colour to the other side, to balance it out.

The second one is somewhat better in my opinion. The text placement is definitely good, and the colours are nice. But maybe try to pick pinkier colours that match the render, since Jigglypuff stands out like pink bubblegum stuck onto a black leather shoe. The circle vector brushes are good, and match the whole 'bubbly' theme, although the Japanese writing to the left are sort of weird. Also, I don't like how you can partially see through Jugglypuff. Of course, it does blend sort-of-ish with the background, but try to find other ways of blending images. Aaaand that's it.

Shira was bored, so she made a new banner:

@ BreD: Errr, I dont know what to say about it. It looks ofly bland although the effects work nicely. Maybe try adding more effects that will make the sig more intersesting. Its also pretty cool how the light source is the spiralie thing in around Gengar. Nice job.

@ мizt: Good job, you are improving. In the digimon one, a point to praise is that the background matches the renders well, and you used good effects like texture, and a splatter brush . But one bad thing I have noticed with both of the renders is, to blend the image you just lowered the opacity. Try using a soft brush eraser to soften the edges of the render, then maybe slightly lower the opacity. I also love the jiggly puff sig. The bubbles in the bg are quite qute! And I love the the japanese text in the bg.

@ Shiranui: That is a great sig. It is blended well, and it is awsome how it seems like he is staring right into the light source. I am not sure what you did with the back ground, but It looks great! Also the clipping mask you used with the text is beautifull.

Here is a sig I just made.

@master dookie - you did not rate the one above so i am not going to raye yours

@el capitano - i like the effects and all but because its small it looks kind of blurry and its hard to see the renders

Ok... Nice effects, but I hate Arkeis images. I also don't really like fancy fonts, it's better to just keep it simple. I find the one above game really annoying. :P

[PokeCommunity.com] The Graphics Rating Thread [READ THE FIRST POST. D:<]

El Capitano;; I smudged the background. But I should really stop doing that since I do it so often with most of my banners nowadays...

Anyways, for your banner, I sort of like it. I like the concept, with the black and white background and the coloured focal and clipping masks. I'm with evilcheese on the render/stock (?) though. It's a bit small, and it's difficult to see what it is. Also, the focal isn't clear, and is quite blurred, so maybe sharpen it up, just to make the people stand out a bit more. Lighting seems a bit oddly placed, as well, since it looks like it was just put there for the sake of having a light source. Then again, I guess there doesn't seem to be any other place it could be. But maybe change it from a white light source to something a bit yellow-er? I like the clipping mask on the text, and the black and white patterns in the background look really nice.

evilcheese;; The outer glow on the render has to go away D: And that's probably my biggest complaint. It makes the Infernape image stand out way too much. Try to blend the image into the background a bit, instead of making it stand out. Although, I quite like the effects in the background. But maybe tone it down a bit, so it looks neater. I also don't like the font used for the text. Keep it simple, as MasterDookie said. Oh, and I don't like how the top left corner just fades into white. Have a more subtle light source, instead of doing that. But other than that, it's a cool banner. And the colours fit the theme nicely.

MasterDookie;; Lot of C4Ds there. I'm not a fan of those kinds of banners (unless they're pulled off really nicely), but whatever. Anyway, I like how it's black and white, since it matches the render. The light source is a bit strong, so perhaps tone that down a bit. And is it just me, or the render looks stretched vertically? His face just looks a bit long to me for some reason... I think you should sharpen his face, and maybe blur out the effects in the background to have a more clearly defined focal (since the background is a bit distracting), and to add a bit more depth. The C4D effects are cool, though.
