I can tell a bit of a difference between someone who's lived in the Twin Cities all their life and who grew up Outstate, myself.

The point was basically as you said, someone that is an outsider to one person feels their people are normal, but those same normal people think others are outsiders. And so on.
What went wrong with that?

Yeah... Cities residents seem to have weaker Minnesota accents, while Outstate Minnesotans have stronger accents.

Yeah. I have Envy from time to time as well. But then again, Envy is what makes the world go round. I think Pride comes to a close second.
