Especially when the one feature they added to the unaccessible room in the Pokemon Mansion when Platinum came out was just Master Liam saying "I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS BACK HERE! LEAVE ME ALONE! HERE'S A SOOTHE BELL!" [I think that's what he gives you anyway...]

I always wondered what was in those rooms in the Mansion. I kept cjecking periodically to see if I could access them yet. Why put things like that in the game? Just to mess with people?
 
Just wondering, how did anyone figure out that Charon lived there?

Bulbapedia has it on there plus if you get the secret key you find Charon's journal and notebook talking about how as a child he befriended a Rotom and studied it. I think it mentions him living there in that but I only know what I read on Bulbapedia
 
That girl really exists?

I saw her the first time I went there and I thought I was just seeing things since I was playing at like midnight and I couldn't get her to come back again. Then I just searched the entire Chateau in hopes of finding where she went and gave up and just believed my eyes were playing tricks on me.
 
First time i saw her, i thought "booooorrriiingggg.....why can't you have Rotom possessing machines and having them attempt to kill you???"
 
I saw the red-eyed painting in diamond. it followed me around. I was soo creeped out i didnt play my game for like a week and when i came back it was gone. I think i saw one ghost (the butler) in platinum, but i accidentaly left the room and when I came back it was gone. i thought my eyes were just playing tricks on me.

I visit the ghosts religiously, because I just love getting freaked out. ^_^

This is a story I heard about the place:
The Old Chateau is where Gardenia used to live. Her grandfather (the ghostly old man) was going to make her little sister (the ghostly little girl) the Gym Leader of Eterna City. Gardenia was so jealous and angry, she went into the kitchen and made a poison, then put it in the dinner that night, leaving her plate untouched. She then threw the antidote away. (Hence, the Antidote item in the trash can) Her little sister and grandfather perished, and Gardenia became Gym Leader.

And one more:
The eerie painting upstairs is where a Gengar enjoys hiding. The little girl who lived there (ghostly little girl) lived in the room where the painting was. One day, she went up close to the painting to look at it, and the Gengar stared right back. The girl was hypnotised, then snatched away and the Gengar transformed and took her place. (Hence, the TM Substitute) The Gengar then killed the little girl's grandfather/butler, and the ghosts of the two continue to haunt the house, while the Gengar still remains inside the painting.

roflmao. It's just a game pal, a POKEMON game which is never scary so just relax. Go catch your gastly or whatever xD
 
Not like this hasn't been discussed a hundred different times, but I suppose it's there to add a creepy feel to the place. I believe there's also a ghost butler in the dining room on the first floor and a painting with red eyes that will follow your character when you're in its room. :P
 
IS this only in Diamond and Pearl cause I never saw it in platinum but I have in Diamond.
 
I guess it's a way to represent Ghost Pokemon,or just to creep the heck out of you. Too bad there's no mystery or extra storyline behind it. D:

That would be a cool side quest. And also why do they add stuff like that? (Things like the Church in Hearthome city and that place by the Survival Area where you use rock climb but there's nothing there except an old man who says there's nothing there.)
