Well this sucked. You know the team switcher outcome? Well I wanted something like berries iirc and seems I tapped the touch screen just a little late and so my team was swapped with my opponants. I did well considering the pokemon that I got in return. These were a Lapras, Nidokind and Breloom. But I didn't get passed my Metagross. I don't know how far I could have gone if I didn't end up having to get a taste of my own medicine but hey that's the fun of the Battle Arcade!
Hope this is all that's needed to get my name up! I'll post if I manage to break some more records!
Thanks Beachy

Out of curiosity, why have Choice Specs on Slamance and have Dragon Dance?

well since this is the arcade items dont matter as they wont work but if they did no way in hell could he have got to 63!

Well, he may have Specs on for the other Frontier challenges, since he posted the other items.
... and after thinking about it, I'm guessing the Specs are just to make Dragon Pulse / Fire Blast rip butt hole.

Anywho, I've been using this one team that so far demolishes everything it sees, except in the Arcade, considering the strategy is mostly item synergy, and the tower where the opposing Altaria right before the 49th battle happens to have juuuust enough defensive IVs and such to survive your hits. :pink_blankstare:

Infernape: Docile Nature
128 Atk / Sp.Atk 252 Speed
@Focus Sash
Fake Out / Overheat / Close Combat / U-Turn | ThunderPunch
Basically, Fake Out to eliminate any other non-Ghost type Sashers, and Overheat / Close Combat for seemingly great coverage and power. When the stat drops seem troublesome, U-Turn out. Looking back, I'm thinking Hasty or Naive would have been better, since as a Sasher I don't care about its defenses, and it does need more Speed. Either way he gets the job done. ThunderPunch is for the hall, as U-Turn has little, if any purpose, and ThunderPunch gives great coverage on those damn Gyarados.

Umbreon: Careful Nature
252 HP / Sp.Def 4 Atk... or maybe Def. I don't care to be honest.
@Leftovers
Yawn / Substitute / Curse / Payback
He takes ANY Special Attack thrown at him it seems, and can Yawn-Sub into a good Curse Set-Up, and Leftovers makes the tedious job of damaging him even more tedious. I'm debating Faint Attack instead of Payback since Double Team is spammed more than I thought it would be... but it seems to only be that one Bastiodon that uses it lately, so it's not like this guy would be touching him anyway...

Cresselia: Bold Nature
252 HP / Def 4 Sp.Atk
@Lum Berry
Calm Mind / Ice Beam / Shadow Ball / Moonlight
Basically the Special version of Umbreon. Same purpose, minus Yawn-Sub. I could have done Leftovers and had something like Thunder Wave instead of Moonlight, but I don't like doubling up on items. Shadow Ball is Cresselia's only Shedinja weakness as far as I can see, and though STAB Psychic is nice, it isn't as good for coverage as Ice Beam, which really should have taken down that Altaria... :pink_blankstare: I'm debating Energy Ball, but it just doesn't hit Salamance and Garchomp the same way Ice Beam does.

Well, that's my team so far. Opinions?

woohoo i finaly managed to beat palmer for the second time, i just kept getting killed on the 48th battle because of stinkin crits, also i got a 169 streak in the battle hall when i fought egenta and she brought out a glaceon in on my garchomp

here it goes
go chomparama
agenta sends in glaceon
(thinking) OH S**T

garchomp uses outrage (didnt want my stone edge to miss)
that dang ice cat/dog thing used ice beam and i hung on with my focus sash

i knew that i had lost as i partly new that it would have ice shard
and it was over,,,,,,,and it was

I'm thinking of using a team with CroTomb in it. 8D Using Hariyama with it could get rid of Dark-, Fighting-, and Steel-types which Dark Pulse does pity damage to.

what does croTomb mean, is it a hacked crobat that uses rock tomb

No.

Spiritomb@Leftovers
252 HP / 252 DEF / 6 S.DEF
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Dark Pulse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Is cro tomb. Cro<insert poke> mean rest talk + stat up move + mono attack move basically. So "CroBat" would be Rest/Sleep Talk/Curse/Brave Bird lol!

ooooohhhhhh, soz, does spiritomb actually make a good wall, as it seems pretty bulky?

Yeah, even with above average defensive stats, not having any weaknesses helps a lot.

@ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature (+ Def / - Atk)

- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Main Pokemon of the team.

Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Impish Nature (+ Def / - SpA)
- Force Palm
- Ice Punch / Stone Edge
- Payback
- Whirlwind?

Gets rid of Dark-, Fighting-, and Steel-types that hinder Spiritomb. Wondering if the moveset could be better. x]

[PokeCommunity.com] The PokéCommunity Battle Frontier Thread
@ Occa Berry?
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature (+ Atk / - SpA)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- ThunderPunch
- Explosion

I was wanted something to switch into Flying-type attacks aimed for Hariyama, so Metagross came to mind.

Help would be appreciated. :D This is just a rough draft, I haven't looked through the Pokemon in the BT yet.

My changes are in bold, i think ur team is a bit slow,i would recommend machamp but with all those 1-hit KO moves out there no guard isnt a good idea.
overall a solid team, you could pump some evs out of hp on metagross and into speed if you want my focus sash version

Battle Hall Singles streak: 170 wins, still going!

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf/Specs - `Segfault'
30 / 16 / 21 / 30 / 31 / 31 Modest Adaptability
252 SpA / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Tri Attack
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Dark Pulse

Finally managed to get the Battle Hall's Gold print from Argenta after a gruelling 5 hours or so of straight battling. We had one horrible loss at around 100+ wins where a random Exeggutor barely survived an Ice Beam and OHKOed with a critical hit Wood Hammer. In hindsight I really should've switched to Specs for doing the Grass-types, since most of them are slow and bulky.

Argenta's final choice was a Latias, which was easily 2HKOed with Ice Beam. Video here!: 61-27879-87258

I used the Scarf for most types, fearing faster Focus Sashed sweepers, but was lucky enough not to run into one anyhow. Switched to Specs for some types, primarily Normal due to fear of Slaking/Blissey. Ultimately I think I was just very lucky with the opponents!

I like Force Palm for the paralysis rate, and lowering my defenses is a bad idea for Hariyama.

I found Metagross to be too bulky to utilize Focus Sash effectively unless it is up against Fire-type Pokemon, which Occa Berry does also, but I'll test it. I'll also consider Bullet Punch, but it really lacks in power, and I never run into a situation when I need Bullet Punch.

Out of curiosity, why have Choice Specs on Slamance and have Dragon Dance?

Chioce specs were there only for battle frontier, if I were to use salamance in an OU battle I would make it hold a life orb. I didn't use DD once in battle frontier as my team was more all out special attack/attack. So the simple answer is, it would be taken away in an OU battle, but in frontier I only used outrage and the odd fire blast.
