I have heard players say they have never encountered Chimecho at the summit of Mt Pyre, and didn't even know not was there. I got lucky. It was actually the first Pokemon I encountered in the tall grass, despite it's rarity

Since Chimecho can't evolve, it's not really worth it unless you want to complete the Pokedex.

In gen 4 Absol could finally use it's stab thanks to the physical special split, and make full use of that great physical attack. It also got sucker punch to help it out despite being slow.

Slap a focus sash on Absol so it can survive a hit, set up with sword's dance to put it's attack through the roof, then go for the priority sucker punch.
