Though before gen 8 it was always the final evo for me as I couldn't reliably trade evo with someone.

It's a cool Pokemon, and it's sweet that in BW2 you can get Gilgalith through an in-game trade.

There's a lot of great gift, trade and special event Pokemon in the sequel game. An NPC who you can battle will even trade you an Alakazam. You can receive shiny gible/dratini from Benga by completing the battle tree challenge. One npc gives away fossil Pokemon daily. Yancy/Curtis trade you hidden ability Pokemon, and a number of one time encounter pokemon from outside the region like Spiritomb and Snorlax. Rood even gifts you N's Zorua that has a unique animation when it enters battle.
