Got to love the extra fur on Pangoro's back looking like a trench coat. A real dark Mon with a hulking and intimidating presence elevated with that design. Also has access to the move Parting Shot. Interesting signature move.

I like the idea of the different hairstyles, 'would been nice if they were functional, but I guess it's still okay. It has an awesome black shiny, so I'll give it an up vote for now.

Great ability in fur coat, since it halves damage from physical moves. Until you see that Furfrou has 60 base defense. That doesn't mesh well.

If that's the case why give it fur coat in the first place? A pokemon like furfrou deserves an ability that synergies with its stats.

Close Combat on a neutral nature, 31 IV in everything, 0 EV Fur Coat Furfrou: 118 - 140.2%
Removed Fur Coat. Bumped up its Defense stat until the damage equaled out. Reaches that at 137 base Defense (a little less than Skarmory). Think of it like a 549 base stat total Pokemon with a useless ability. Also gave it Cotton Guard (+3 Defense), several attack-lowering moves, and Toxic (via TM).
Alternatively, add just 20 base Defense to Fur Coat Furfrou. Functionally acts like 176 base Defense (a little less than Aggron).
Now, is Furfrou a strong Pokemon? Not past level 25 or so. Lacks much outside of Normal moves. Never really figured out what to do with defensive Pokemon in older generations (see: Avalugg in the same generation).
