Yes Bidoof and Bibarel suck, but there needs to be bad pokemon. It's not like they completely suck since Bibarel can learn all HMs except Fly and defog.

Being part normal gives Bibarel STAB normal type moves and that is always good.

A move doesn't have to be super effective to be great. Earthquake hitting dark types still does good damage. Bibarel has STAB double-edge going for it plus moody, and that can lead to shenanigans.

One of my least favourite early-game Bug-types, if not early-game Mon in general.

Everybody I knew had a Staraptor in their team for Sinnoh. It was just that pokemon you needed to have for style.

Well... I didn't have a Staraptor in my main team, but now I kind of wish I'd had. xD The Shiny form is also amazing.
