Yes Bidoof and Bibarel suck, but there needs to be bad pokemon. It's not like they completely suck since Bibarel can learn all HMs except Fly and defog.

A move doesn't have to be super effective to be great. Earthquake hitting dark types still does good damage. Bibarel has STAB double-edge going for it plus moody, and that can lead to shenanigans.

Kricketot is actually bad. In gen 4 its only attacking move is bide until level 16 in platinum where it gets access to bug bite.
