Serperior is the superior startermon for one main reason. Contrary. Contrary + leaf storm and that -2 sp. atk. becomes +2.

I remember seeing a romhack of black 1 where Serperior was dragon/grass and that would make sense given Serperior has access to dragon tail and dragon pulse. Serperior is a very intimidating pokemon that strikes fear into its opponents, so part dragon would make more sense there.

It was most likely blaze black 1. It was the earliest rom hack of bw1 I remember seeing. Also on the topic of Serperior striking fear into its opponents, it can learn glare through an egg move. Making the pokedex entry lore accurate.

There's a ROM hack of Pokemon Crystal named "Pokemon Black & White 3: Genesis". In that ROM hack, Serperior can learn Glare by level.

Snivy was my first ever Pokémon, meaning Serperior was my first ever fully evolved Starter. Much love!

Serperior being a snake makes it the first starter to be a snake. I think there are not enough snake-mons out there. There's only Arbok, Steelix/Onix, and Seviper besides Serperior. Milotic does not count.

There definitely needs to be more pig/boar-mons. Tepig is a really cute design and everyone I knew had one. Even those who started with Oshawott or Snivy. Tepig had lots of hype.

Generally not a fan of pig Pokemon. Considers Tepig alright. Might have been helped by expression and general demeanor. Appreciated Snivy for similar reasons.
