Liepard has one of the most interesting cases concerning its debut in the pokemon anime. It was going to star in episodes 23 and 24 of the B/W anime but due to the Tōhoku Earthquake and Tsunami of 2011 those episodes never aired. I'm not sure if this is considered lost media as some snippets exist. The episodes in question were considered important to the story in debuting Team Plasma and Looker coming back.

Liepard is the dark version of Persian. Instead of being greedy, this pokemon is sneaky and stealthy like an assassin.

Also made the correction changing Team Galactic to Team Plasma.

While this is a vicious pokemon, New Pokemon Snap states it likes to loaf around. Imagine a pokemon based on an ocelot or leopard that loafs around as if it were a domesticated cat. That might be this pokemon.
