So I just found this out. If Meloetta is encountered in the wild (only possible through cheats) it will always hold a star piece. As to why? I am not sure, but that is interesting. A Pokemon that is never meant to be encountered in the wild is programmed to still hold a valuable and sellable item.

Some theories have pointed that Genesect is based on a Kabutops, but I think those theories were debunked. Mainly because Genesect has to be based on a bug type, and Team Plasma only added a cannon to its back.

Genesect has fantastic coverage, and it can change the type of its signature move, Techno Blast. With a base power of 120 and 100% accuracy, Genesect might as well be the top predator of the bug kingdom. This is why bug types in gen 5 finally became good. Because this gen has the best bug types.
