So when I got to Goldenrod last night, I was super hyped because I had two bulky defensive 'mon. Then just after I finished running through the gym, I realized... my team was completely male! Wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. Clefairy went down easily but of course, Miltank was the troublesome one. I had to switch back and forth between Geodude and Quagsire everytime one of them got hit with Attract. It made for a very tedious battle. A win's a win, but now some trainer who's got a Tangela with Growth has got me trapped. Grr.

Update for Final Ultimate Monotype Challenge - Water!

Update #3 on Black 2.

• Beat the Grunts that Hugh stopped in Nimbasa City, then headed over to the Driftveil Drawbridge, where I caught Coby the Ducklett.
• Moved on to Driftviel City, where I beat Rood in a battle. Afterwards we talked and he gave me N's Zorua.
• Defeated the trainers on Route 6, then took on the Driftviel Gym.
• Clay was tougher than I thought he would be since I didn't have a whole lot of good Water moves yet, but Torrent finished strong.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Won the Driftveil Tournament at the PWT, then helped Hugh and Cheren beat Team Plasma on the Plasma Frigate.
• Went back to Route 6 and got the Surf HM from Cheren! \o/\o/\o/\o/!
• Surfed in the water on Route 6 and caught my fourth team member, Piranha the Basculin! He ironically has a Docile nature, hehe.
• Took my team to the newly ascessible water areas around Aspertia City for items and stuff.
• Explored the rest of the Castelia Sewers, Mistralton Cave, and Relic Passage, and Coby evolved into Swanna!

Charizard is sure a classic. Ignis rocked everybody, that's sure. He was really overleveled since he was the only Pokemon I had til' I got to Celadon which is fourth badge and an easy one for my fire types. He got Fly, Flamethrower, Dig and Slash. He was also the only one with a secondary type. MVP.

He was weak since he doesn't get Flamethrower until later levels. But when he evolved, he was a beast. If he didn't took all that time to evolve, he would be MVP, but he was still good anyway.

She was a good supporter overall. Toxic+Confuse Ray+Reflect+Flamethrower combo was really good. I am going to use her again next time.

I am really going to reduce the number of Pokemon I use in the next challenges. They were good, but they didn't do anything special. Charizard had flying type, Arcanine had monster special, Ninetales was supportive. But Gallops and Inferno were really the same, and they had nothing special.

Flareon is really waste of a Rare Eevee and a Fire Stone. Never gonna use Flareon again. LVP.

Flying monotype didn't change yet. Next monotype is....
Ghost! Creepy isn't it? Going to hack a Gastly as starter, then get a second from Pokemon Tower.

Second to last update for my Poison run in Fire Red version. Trained my team to lvl 43 and made short work of Blaine thanks in no small part to Tentacruel's Surf attack. After I healed at the Pokémon Center I made my way back to Viridian Gym and made short work of the Jr. trainers and Giovanni himself thanks to the combined efforts of Golbat, Venusaur, and Tentacruel. I'll be omitting Beedrill's stat block this time since I used the Rare Candies I've been saving the whole game to get it to lvl 50. Besides I can only post 5 pics and I don't want to give the admins a reason to dislike me so from now on I'm only posting 5 stat blocks at a time

Okay, so here goes my first, early update on my Ultimate Bug Monotype Challenge, starting with Emerald. Just for the sake of changing up these Monotype Challenges for once.

So. Not much to tell, honestly. I caught myself a Nincada and a Wurmple. Well, a couple, actually, but I eventually ended up with the two I wanted. Or the two I'm gonna settle for, anyway. I trained for a short while, then challenged Roxanne. And boy, did that turn out unexpected. Nosepass wrecked Beautifly, so I thought the battle was won, and that I had to go train some more. But Nincada pulled off a couple of Sand-Attacks, a few Hardens and then blasted away Fury Swipes and Leech Life, until it fainted. Damn, Nincada, you're boss.

-Chose Mudkip as my starter and hurried through the early game until catching Nincada on route 116.
-Beat Roxanne (OHKO except Nosepass)

Update for Monotype Water on FireRed! I've decided to turn it into an ultimate challenge. Should I make a whole new sign-up form or should I just add it in here? Anyway, on to the update!

I kind of iron manned my way through half the game in one night.
-Chose Squirtle as my starter, nicknamed it Torrent[going for a water theme with my entire team's name.
-Beat the tar out of Rival Green in Oak's lab
-After doing all the parcel stuff, I trained Torrent up enough to beat Green outside of Viridian City
-Blazed through Viridian Forest and easily beat Brock, with Torrent evolving into a Wartortle at the end
-Bought the Magikarp from the Pokemon Center outside of Mt. Moon. Nicknamed him Poseidon
-Blazed through Mt. Moon, training Poseidon along the way
-Beat Green inside Cerulean. Bulbasaur was a pain, but Poseidon evolved into a Gyarados
-With Poseidon's help, Misty was almost easier than Brock
-Ran through S.S. Anne with the help of Poseidon, he wrecked Green's Bulbasaur
-Taught Torrent Dig, Surge went down super quick
-Rushed through Rock Tunnel, leaving as many trainers un fought as I could
-Rushed to Celadon, netting an Eevee that I named Rain and immediately bought a water stone and evolved into a Vaporeon, teaching it Water Pulse
-Trained up my team in Rocket Game Corner for the Silph Scope
-Went back to Lavender Town for the Pokeflute. Green proved easy, with Poseidon destroying Ivysaur and Rain one or two hit KOing everything else
-Rushed past Cycling Road to get the Good Rod, using it to catch a Poliwag[Nicknamed Tadpole], Krabby[Crusher], and Horsea[Tidal]
-Trained up my newest pokemon on the trainers I'd left in Rock Tunnel and just sitting around
-Raced through Celadon once I remembered that Rain knew Aurora Beam

In case I don't need to enter a new sign-up form, I'm just gonna tack HeartGold, Sapphire, Platinum, Black, and possibly White 2 on as my other games, all under water type. Black, White2, and Heartgold should be fun, as I've never played those versions, although I have played regular gold, so I should be ok there.
