-Helped Lucas get his Pokédex back from Team Galactic.
-Got HM02 for Fly.
-Went through Valor Lakefront and Route 213, battling the trainers there and in the restaurant. In doing so, Forester evolved into Torterra.
-Arrived in Pastoria City.
-Used a Heart Scale to reteach Thunder Fang to Jade.
-Caught a Quagsire on Route 212 named Flipside.
-Beat all the trainers on Route 212.
-Checked out the Pokémon Mansion.
-Beat Barry in front of the Pastoria Gym.
-Beat the Gym trainers.
-Challenged the Gym Leader, CRASHER Wake!

He starts off with Gyarados while I open with Flipside, and he gets off the Intimidate. He uses Bite, which gets a critical hit AND I flinch, that's just great. Me: 68/114 HP. Then he uses Waterfall, but thanks to Water Absorb that ends up a total fail, and allows me to use Yawn. Me: 96/114 HP. Since he knows I have Water Absorb, he's probably not gonna use a Water-type attack again, so I switch in Jade, as he uses Twister for pathetic damage before he falls asleep. Him: Full health and asleep, Me: 95/105 HP. Since he's asleep, I decide to go for Swords Dance, just to be on the safe side as he snoozes. Me: 95/105 HP and +2 Attack. I then kill him in one hit with Thunder Fang.
Next up is his ace, Floatzel. He goes for Ice Fang, which doesn't kill me, but I flinch. Me: 19/105 HP. Then he kills me with Aqua Jet. Not cool, bro! I send in Flipside again, and he uses Brine, but Water Absorb restores me to full health, and I use Yawn. He then uses Crunch…and gets a critical hit before I hit with Mud Shot, then he falls asleep. Him: 77% or so HP and -1 Speed, Me: 49/114 HP. As he snoozes, I go for Mud Bomb, which hits and gets the accuracy drop, but the Sitrus Berry knocks him up. Him: 72% or so HP, -1 Speed and -1 Accuracy. He snoozes more and I go for another Mud Shot. Him: 44% or so HP, -2 Speed and -1 Accuracy. Now for the issue: I don't want him to wake up and use Ice Fang on Forester. So I get extra ambitious here and switch in Magnum as death fodder, but he continues to snooze. He snoozes some more, and I use Scary Face to lower his Speed. Him: 44% or so HP, -4 Speed and -1 Accuracy. He wakes up and uses Aqua Jet, but somehow I live with 1 HP, and use Rock Blast, which only hits twice and barely does anything. Him: 18% or so HP, -4 Speed and -1 Accuracy. He uses his Hyper Potion, and I miss with Rock Blast, then he kills me with Aqua Jet. I bring in Flipside again, and he uses Ice Fang, while I manage to use Yawn again. Me: 23/114 HP. I actually go first next turn and hit with Mud Shot before he finishes me with another Crunch, then he falls asleep. Him: 72% or so HP, -5 Speed, -1 Accuracy and asleep. I bring in Forester and use Razor Leaf, which hits and finishes him off. Forester grows to Level 35 after that.
Finally is his Quagsire, who dies in one hit to Razor Leaf, ending the battle. Pygmy grows to Level 35 after that.
To say the least, that was very interesting. Although I probably could have made this much easier if Floatzel hadn't flinched Jade with Ice Fang, it wouldn't have been as fun if I had just swept him with one Pokémon. I mean, I already did that with Maylene, so I though it was time to let my new recruit in to take care of things.

-Found Barry, who told us about a Galactic Grunt with a bomb!

Update #1

Basically, I soloed the game until Cerulean City with Squirtle/Wartortle. As soon as I could get to the Daycare, I left there my Magikarp and had a whole friggin' ride with my Bicycle, 'til he reached Lv. 19.

I took it back with me and evolved the guy, now a fearsome Gyarados. I trained him in Route 11 and S.S. Anne, then took it to the Gym, where he defeated Lt. Surge with ease.

Why he didn't use Thunderbolt, I don't know...

Update #2

In a very boring afternoon, I made my way to the Pokèmon League. During the journey, I was able to complete the team.

I grabbed an Eevee in Celadon City, which quickly became a Vaporeon.

Once I got to Fuchsia City, I used my brand new Good Rod to catch a new team member, a tiny little Poliwag.

During my adventure inside Silph Co, I was gifted with a Lapras, which became the fifth team member.

I was risky about getting a sixth Pokèmon that far in the adventure, but I took that risk, and I got myself a Kabuto. What a mess.

Anyway, I'm ready for the Elite Four!

EDIT: Elite Four defeated. Challenge completed. :D

Sorry I havn't been updating on my Pokemon White Normal Monotype at all, but I've been having complications in my life right now, like school and *coughsomethingstupidaheadcough* being annoyed with some stupid moderators on another site who don't know what the hell they are thinking (Don't ask me to explain. Okay, so I went and fought Hartwig for my 5th badge, then I returned to fight Jasmin, and lost. I did a lot of grinding until my team was fully evolved (except Scyther) at level 31 (and 33 for Yanmega). Then I fought her again and earned my 6th badge. I then went to the See des Zorns and proceeded to kick Team Rocket all over the place. I beat Norbert for my 7th badge, then traveled to beat Team Rocket up some more until they disbanded. Yay me!

Duplicates are allowed, but discouraged where possible. But it is legal to have more than one of the same mon in your team.

You are allowed to skip Kanto since the type did not exist yet. Dark is in SS. But the first one is not til after the 3rd badge, unless you have a Pokewalker, so you're allowed to hack or trade ONE dark or dark evolving Pokemon that is within your Johto Pokedex. I recommend Sneasel since you can't find it til Mt Silver, but any Dark type is acceptable as long as it doesn't exceed your team level.

Ok I think that I signed up for ghost mono type run through fr - I wasn't on this community for a while because school came in between ..

Now I realized that I can only catch ghastly that's ghost type in FR. And ghastly is found pretty late in game. So can I use randomizer in order to randomize ghastly as starter? I tried to do hacking in before - and whenever I tried to hack in a certain pokemon that pokemon remaind to be the only wild pokemon found through the entire game - which was pretty annoying since it was impossible to train in the grass :/

You actually signed up for a randomized version of FR, so all ghost types should be available to you, assuming you can find one. If you want to specify Gastly as a starter that would be fine since it would be impossible to know when you'll find your first ghost.

- I chose chimchar as my starter so he would choose piplup
- I used leer on the starly so it would leave. my starter gaind no EXP.
- I fled from all battles untill I could catch on route 202
- I used 5 pokeballs to catch bidoof as an HM slave
- I used 1 pokeball to catch starly as another HM slave
- I failed to catch a shinx w/my remaining pokeballs
- I bought more
- I caught one
- I boxed my starter
- I healed after every battle to train since a lvl 3 shinx can't take down more than 1 pokemon w/o healing
- I beat the first trainer. I still healed repeatedly
- I boxed my HM slaves when I got to the next town
- I trained some more. shinx (nicknamed "shock") is now level 10
- I beat the friend
- I made it to the first gym
- I failed
- I trained some more. shinx can't be used solely. it's too weak.
- I evolved it. It was unexpected.
- I beat the gym.

By the time you can get the National Dex in FRLG, the game is already finished and so is unnecessary. The only other way to get is by hacking which is not allowed except for certain circumstances. Also, you would have to find the item which is also not available until post game.
