In DPPt, you were given the chance to go beneath (most) of Sinnoh to build your own Secret Base (and steal the flag from a friend's), run into traps, dig for treasure, bury Spheres, buy stuff for your base and traps... It was just something fun to do as well as a way of getting certain items that you needed for your Pokemon (i.e. evolutionary stones and Heart Scales).

Anyway, did you enjoy the Underground, or did you hate it? What would you change about it? Would you like to see it in future games? Do you have any interesting stories to share?

I loved it! <3 I was addicted to going underground whenever I could to hunt for fossils and stones. Best way to get evo stones by far and I actually preferred that to going out and buying them with little effort lol. Though I ended up with.. a little too many extras. :P

Wish I had stories to share but it was so long ago that anything interesting likely left my mind. I do have plans to pick up Platinum again soon though and play through that! Going to be so nostalgic to pick up that Explore Kit again.

I thought it was great. Every once in a while, I'd take out my Explorer Kit to go underneath, just so I could run around and kill time. It was very fun. Every once in a while, I'd also go up against friends in trap matches, where we'd set up traps and see how further we could get away from each other.

Their bases were amazing! Only thing that I didn't like, though, is that they were not that easy to access; if you were able to get inside them directly from ground, it would've been much, much more convenient.

ERMAGHERED ER LERVED THER ERNDERGRURND CURVES! (oh my god I loved the underground caves)

I never even battled other people! I spent so much time digging up gems and stuff for no reason whatsoever when I was playing pearl. I kept asking myself, "why are you still down here digging up gems? it's not like you're gonna use them! Go back and have some pokemon battles!"
    But then I stayed. :P

Great fun. I don't know if it would go well in another game, though. It was kind of DP "thing" and there isn't too much that they could change to make a new experience.

I much preferred the Underground. At least the items you found down below were endless.... One time I found 6 thunderstones in 4 walls, it came as a real shock. Best find I ever had in a wall was a Draco Plate, 2 Thunderstones and a Yellow Shard.

The Underground was soo much fun, I tended to use it in Eterna City for some reason haha :) I never bothered with Secret Bases but digging for my coveted Skull Fossil was soo rewarding, cause it took a while to get and I got loads of little gems (no pun intended lol!) on the way :) Plus, was one of the best ways to get a Fossil - I much prefer to earn it myself as opposed to just being given one :)

^ Basically I only used it to get shards and Heart Scales, along with fossils. Never really cared for Secret Bases, but I did use that feature to get one of the trainer stars in Platinum. It was alright though, neat little idea to it.

I never used Secret Bases because there was no one to share it with and they weren't as cool as RSE's were. Or I guess I just wasn't appealed to them this time around =/ I really liked exploring the underground, though. I used it all the time to get items! The variety was nice and it wasn't too easy.

I loved the underground, I was a total fossil -and heart scale hunter!

Though, I didn't really enjoy the bases, and the bombs annoyed me quite a lot, since I had no other friends that played Pokémon during that time. So that sucked for me.

I absolutely love the underground because you can get tons of free evo stones, shards, plates, fossils, and other stuff in mining. That's really the best feature for me, as I never got to play it with anyone else and I just made my secret base for the first time a couple weeks ago. I think it would be really cool in the future, or at least to implement the mining part of it in the RS remakes coming this fall, perhaps somewhere there should be a mining museum in Hoenn and involve a mining minigame. I don't really know Hoenn well enough to know where that would go, though. :P

I never played Underground initially, but I really got into it with one of my replays in Platinum Version, and boy I missed out. It's so ridiculously useful for getting items and evolutionary stones earlier on in the game and it's just plain fun.

I love the underground feature!!! :D haha i thought it was fun i remembered spending a lot of time playing down there with my friends like catching each other flags and setting up traps and all that haha
