What makes you decide what theme you want to use at a given time? Or which avatar, what kind of sig... Why do you choose the kinds of things you choose?

I choose to make my sig tell PC who I am. I put in things that are important to me, and use whichever style I think is best with what I want to put in. My avatar tends to match my sig, because otherwise I feel disjointed.

With me it's kinda spontaneous. I look at something, or I suddenly get into a band and I think "You know, that'd make a pretty good theme".

Within 24 hours of making it I then think "Yeah, actually it didn't make such a good theme after all" and switch to something else.

Well lately I've decided I want to use only N themes from now on.. XDD; When I see an icon of him, I say to myself "OOMKRGJSNJ IM USING THAT". I dont really use icons in my sig anymore, maybe just a quote or something like I have now. :3

I usually just decide I'm sick of looking at my old one, so I make a new one based on what I'm most into at the moment. Like with this one, I wanted a Red Dwarf theme but I didn't quite want to get rid of that one really nice looking icon from my Doctor Who theme, so I just made this really random one. And I've never done a totally mismatched theme before, so it was fun~

So yeah, it's pretty much based on what I'm interested in at the moment and how bored I am. xD

My theme is usually dictated by what video game I happen to be engrossed in at the time. Within the past year, I've had at least one Pokemon (duh..), Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Metroid theme, and I'm currently in the air whether my next one should be a Mother one or another Metroid one. :/

Sometimes though, if I find something on Deviantart that I just have to use, I use it. such is how I got my current avatar. She's such a cute Crobat gijinka that I had to use her. ^_^

For what it's worth, I also like to alternate between a feminine and a masculine theme to keep my gender ambiguity up as best I can. XD

I just choose. Lol. I really don't take notice of what makes me choose my theme, I think I just choose a theme that I like in that moment in time. Right now for instance I like: PokeLink 4 Blue; so I am using it.

Well it all starts when I get bored of my avatar. I then end up going on various websites that have pictures until I find something I like. Even then after uploading the picture as an avatar I usually don't end up liking how it looks at first. Which then leads to me uploading tons of pictures until I finally find one that I like or I'll either give up and try again later.

I've pretty much given up on signatures. I can never find anything I like to go there. So that's that.

Also I don't tend to have a certain reason for the avatars I choose. Most of the time it's just what I think looks best out of everything else I've tried.

My themes must always be made by me, and almost never are about anime/games/bands/anything I didn't create. Using my own art > themes made out of stock images (at least for my own purposes). They tend to feature my own 'characters' too.

Except for right now (due to a mix of laziness and only having had the idea for the signature part), my themes are always a matching set. A change usually starts when I redo my journal CSS on dA, and my themes and layouts on every other site I use (including PC) follow suit for consistency. With this signature I just had a random idea that relates to a certain person, and I have nothing else to match it at this point.

Ummm... let's see. My avatar has been the same since June and now if I change it, the alts thing would be out of place--okay, I just keep the avatar for the fun of it.

As for signature, whatever looks nice or represents me at the time. Since July (?), I've only had two signatures. One being of Koromori and the other being this. I drew the Koromori for some reason - so used it... as for this one now - it's Gen 5, so yeah :3

I usually choose my theme based on what anime or game I happen to be into at the time. My color choices are usually influenced by the time of year: last month my theme was light blue and orange, and this month it's purple and gold. Next month I'm gonna have to think up something Halloween-y~

I change my theme whenever I get bored of my old one. I changed my one just a few days ago. Almost 90% of my themes are PokeSpec, all the others have been to do with Pichu or Pikachu but I'm really lovin Emonga so I may have that as my sig some time soon when I get a good render

I am an artist, the signatures I make usually bode of my own art and...well, mostly art of the persona I like drawing, and who I feel represents me in various different ways.

I do cherish my hand-drawn banners I make because I put a lot more work into them than I do with renders you can find elsewhere on the internet, it's something that helps define who I am as a person and shows off my creative skills, that and I like to show people how proud I am of the work I do.

My theme is usually Anime/Manga. Usually what I'm watching right now, or what I like.

Mine are usually based on anime or manga, and usually feature female anime characters. Blue/Leaf shows up quite a bit. The only time I won't use an anime character are for my occasional Buick and Quality Inn themes.

I only use my signature for a quote of the moment sort of thing or to show credit for the avatar I'm using. Signatures are SO 2008, avatars are where it's at. As for my avatars, it's an instantaneous thing of saying to myself, 'yeah, that'd look cool.'

    My themes are almost always anime/manga related since I only ever decide to look up those art. They'll usually reflect what I'm into at the moment (the theme I have now was made when I was just done with the Kara no Kyoukai series). Whenever I have a nice amount of extra time and a good picture, I'd fire up GIMP and make myself a new theme...if I'm in the mood. That hasn't happened as often recently as, say, one year ago when I changed themes every 2 weeks. Now it's more one theme every three or more months. ;_;

well i would love to make a awesome sig like you people but i only offer important information in my sig due to my time being spend on school work as for my avatar i havent added a avatar that truly like like a shiny umbreon since it so awesome adn its one of my favorite pokemon

I'm not exactly a very god theme maker, but I tend to be browsing Photobucket when I see a picture I like, I just end up thinking "Hey, that looks cool" then end up using an image or two to make a theme.
