So.... I've got some questions for you all!~

Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one?

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?

I've got quite some threads locked on my previous account, that is back when I didn't even know when we could search for threads. ._. Even after I got to know about it, I was lazy to search for them for a long time.

As for locked threads, I do check them out out of curiousity in most cases.

Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one? Take the trouble? lol, no. I search for one key word and if it shows up with an error, I make the thread. Nice example, right? Sometimes I ask Nica if a thread exists already before I make a new one, though, too. She tends to memorize those things.

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D: No. I disagree with a thread getting locked because of a thread already existing. Rather than lock, it makes more sense to just move the posts inside the topic already existing, which is what I tend to do.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked? No.

    Yup.
Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
Yeah, but not for the reason in the title of this thread.
Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
    Sometimes.

  • Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one?
No, because I don't make threads anymore. Don't feel like having to take the effort in checking for similar thread before hand

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:

This made me curious, so I checked and none of the 5 threads I've ever made have been locked, neat.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
Sometimes, depends on the thread and how curious I am at the moment.

Nu. I just make 'em. /laziness

Have any of your threads ever been locked?
Not sure. My rom hack, because it exceeded the revival time span?

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
No. I can tell the reason from the thread title. Only if I'm curious.

Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one?
Yes, but it got tiresome I quitted making threads.

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
Yes, but it was locked because someone else bumped it.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
    Yes, I do.

Yeah, I always check. Don't wanna make a duplicate and look like a fool. Also, it's one thing to not see a thread a few pages back, but when people make a thread for something that is stickied claiming they "didn't see a thread like this," they look...kinda stupid. :(

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
Technically, not because of me. The only threads I have locked were locked because of revival or because of them not being needed anymore (like some team rating teams before the in-game team help forum came along).

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
I like to see how other moderators lock threads, lol.

  • No, my ideas are always fresh :P

I'm not so sure but some have been moved to and merged with an existing thread.

Lol yes. I'm a very curious person.

I don't search every single thread, but if I want to (which I rarely would do), I'd press C+F.

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
Um... No, unless I requested it to be locked.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
Lol yes, sometimes I check the last post and see the staff member's post on why it's locked.

Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one?
No; I'm active enough in the sections I might post threads in to see every single one that passes and know what's already up.

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
I think so, but not because of my misconduct.
I believe I have at least once asked for a thread of mine to be closed, but I don't suppose that's what you're getting at.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
Well, I'll say this: If I had a penny for every inadequate reason... :)
I mean, it's not that the actual reasons tend to be inadequate, just sometimes it's not stated.

Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one?

No, not really. I have my forum settings so that anything over a month old is invisible, so I don't really have to :)

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:

Well, when I request trade threads to be closed, it happens. I've reported a lot of threads too, and they've got locked occasionally...however, I'm not sure if any of mine have ever been locked for a reason other than my asking.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?

Well, I would, if one got locked. But technically no :)

It's always a good thing to search the forums for a thread. If there was a thread already made, but it's been inactive for a while, I'd go ahead and make a new one. (though I haven't made a thread just yet).

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
Nope. Like I said, I never made a thread yet.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
Sometimes... I just want to find out the moderator's reaction. :P

Yeah I always do. Even if I know the section from top to bottom I tend to get paranoid that maybe I'm forgetting a thread and so I look through the active pages.

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
Just one, but it's one of the older PotW threads and it only closed because I ended up leaving PC for sometime so someone else had to run it.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
Most of the time yes. Especially if they're in a section I really like. I'm naturally curious.

Yes, I do search before making a thread. I don't really want to look like a fool. :x

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
Nope. XD Then again, I don't normally make threads much. I have to be feeling pretty inspired by something.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
    Yes, I do. ^^; I'm a curious person.

I rarely make threads, so when I do I search to make sure nothing similar has been done in the past month or so.

Have any of your threads ever been locked?
None of my threads have been locked before.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
Sometimes I'll check locked threads, if the topic interests me.

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D::
In Bulbagarden, I didn't think that the topic already existed.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?:
I do that out of sheer curiosity.

Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one?
No. But that's because I usually don't make threads, and when I do it tends to be something that I've never seen being talked about.

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
No. Again, I don't really make threads, heh.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
Sometimes out of curiosity or I'm bored with nothing else to do.

As for locking threads, it depends. Some threads I'll merge with an existing thread, but with some other threads (such as Hurt n' Heal), it'll be weird if I tried to merge it with the existing thread, so I simply just lock it.

  • Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one?
Yes, almost all the time unless I know for SURE that a thread hasn't been posted recently.

Have any of your threads ever been locked?
    On PC, I'm actually not sure any have. On earlier forums, definitely. XD;

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
I used to like it was my religion but I've stopped caring now. That and I can almost always tell exactly why a thread was locked just from glancing at it. Whoo, experience.

  • Do you take the trouble to search for a thread before you make one?
It depends really. If it is a forum I don't normally go in, then yes, I do. However, if it is Video Games, I don't check because I normally remember if there has been a thread on that topic or not in the last month.

Have any of your threads ever been locked? D:
    Yes, a few.

Do you check locked threads for the reason why they were locked?
Ehh, sometimes. Depends on what the topic was.
