grab your Youtube link, like so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swBXBYNBfew

find your username in the top right corner of the forum

find the 'Control Panel Home' link in the dropdown that appears

find 'Edit Your Details' in the left on the screen that appears

scroll until you find 'Youtube URL'

paste your link, like so: https://prntscr.com/3153mi

voila!

I did that and it keeps saying it's currently unavailable when I try to play the video

ahhh, I have no idea why it would be doing that. o_O Can you try it with multiple different videos and see if any work? I think it's done for me, too, but a refresh has fixed it, therefore I'm not sure what the problem ever was/is/could be.

I've had the same problem for a while now. No matter what video I put up, it just flat out doesn't work.

Use just the last part of the URL (the numbers etc after v=) and it works. At least, that's how I just made it work. I should really see if I can make it clearer though.

Razorleaf's correct. Let's say you have this Youtube URL:

https://www.youtu.becom/watch?v=tQc7j5YgB_w

The bolded section is what you are going to copy and paste into that little section in the control panel designated for the youtube video. Nothing more, nothing less.

Same if you are going to include a Youtube video in a regular post:

[you.tube] tQc7j5YgB_w [/you.tube]
^Just without the periods.

Hope this helps! (:

Bless you Razor Leaf you've finally come in handy to me xoxo

I'm late (and bumping this thread from over a month oops), but it's not worth posting in the updates thread - I've clarified how the thingy works in your UserCP now. If anyone's still got difficulty using it let me know.
