How has PC changed since you first joined? What have been your favorite/least favorite changes? What are you planning on majoring in for college and why?
oh i got a BAD memory and it's been a WHILE. but messages used to come in FAST back in the mid-2000s; it was as quick as discord most days! and it wasn't just my perspective from bein' on slow library computers or dial-up haha the timestamps prove it. we had a heck of a problem with cliques and staff favoritism for a long time- i mean, being run by teen and young adult volunteers tended to bring the drama. i guess i miss the casual communication style being on the forums- that has since moved to discord- and definitely profile customization. i also am big mad about signatures not being displayed on mobile. OH and the decline of making graphics and working with css has been sad to watch. bring back the visualssss

@Tsutarja college majoring... we'll see how much of a hit my confidence takes this semester before i really commit to it. i have an Idea (or several) but we're about to find out how doable those are! because of the way higher ed is set up here / for non-traditional students, i have to be at a 2-year community college before moving to another institution to pursue a bachelor's degree. my MAIN plan is to check all the boxes in the Biology transfer pathway and aim to get into ecology-type stuff; there's a pretty easily stackable double major at my local university- Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology & Forest and Natural Resources Management. I'm also interested in sustainable agriculture :)
but then we got sub-plans. why not get an associate of fine arts in music? why not get certificates in web development, web design, sports & exercise sciences, and child development? i can probably do that in two years.
obnoxious amount of self-confidence, as said.
What was the world like when you first joined the PC?
What is your favorite pokemon type?
Do you have a favorite music artist?
the world itself? i was 10, three days from turning 11, and going into 6th grade the next fall. I don't really know lmao. i was spending the summers at my dad's, possibly still being forced to play a sport, was about to meet my brothers for the first time, was reading every fantasy/mystery/manga the library had- and there was a lot!- and using my daily two hours on the library computers to mess around on PC or play runescape. that was my world, i think.
ouuu i've never had a solid fav type. i tend to default to grass or water though!
THE BARENAKED LADIES ARE MY FAVORITES FOREVER
