I've often felt this way, but playing AS has sort of reinforced this idea. It seems that everywhere I go I'm chasing another legendary from another trio, another myth. Originally I was okay with the addition of slightly mythical Pokémon who's existence was doubted, but now I feel like it's too much. How come this 10 year old kid (or whatever age you feel your character represents) ends up with so many of these one of a kind pokés which most grown adults haven't even decided if they're real or not?
It kind of annoys me that there are such a ridiculously high number of one offs - I'd rather see truly "legendary" pokémon that don't exist, as they are truly mythical. It seems a bit far fetched that Arceus creates the universe and then gets captured by a child.
I'd rather have more basic pokés to catch, with perhaps slight individual differences to make them stand out from themselves, over catching 50+ one time only legendary beings.
