Top 5 Favorite Video Games

    It's as simple as that! What are your top 5 favorite video games? Feel free to discuss why they are your favorite games in your eyes!

    My top 5 goes as the following:

    1. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (Gamecube)
    2. Pikmin (Gamecube)
    3. Bioshock (Xbox 360)
    4. Donkey Kong 64 (Nintendo 64)
    5. Super Metroid (Super Nintendo)
     
    I can't really boil it down to games alone, because it'd probably be all Pokemon, so I guess it'll be series for me.

    1. Pokemon
    2. Ace Attorney
    3. Animal Crossing
    4. Call of Duty
    5. MVP Baseball '04/NHL Hitz '03

    Pokemon is self-explanatory. Ace Attorney is mostly for the plots. The mechanics of the game taken at face value, really aren't that exciting, yet they still come off as awesome games. Animal Crossing is just addictive, I'm sure many people here can agree with that. Call of Duty yeah, I'm not a hardcore like gun game person, but it can be enjoyable, especially with the whole multiplayer thing revolving around stuff like stats (k:d, kill streaks, etc.). Baseball and hockey game also a lot to do with stats. Going through stats after a season is just enjoyable, idk why. And with CoD, these two sports games in particular had a lot of customization options.
     
    I'm gonna go ahead and limit myself to one game per series...otherwise my top five would be nothing but Metroid and Zelda. XD

    1) Metroid Prime. It simply took everything great about Super Metroid (which is an amazing game in its own right) and added even more depth to both the gameplay and the plot. Its sequels are also top-notch games, but this is the strongest of the three imo.

    2) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Yes, I know Ocarina of Time is the most critically acclaimed title in the series history, but I think the characters, atmosphere, and overall plot of TP are just so much better than OoT.

    3) Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I just love the way the plot from Path of Radiance was built upon and how the way that the gameplay was vastly improved upon, even if the various factions and armies are vastly unbalanced. Seriously, how many characters in Micaiah's army have a shadow of a chance in endgame compared to those in Ike's army?

    4) Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. Okay, this is a series I regrettably never got into outside the first game, but that first game is a great one. I love the whole idea of playing as a frail and delicate character who's only chance of survival is dodging traps and the use of his ability to possess simple-minded attack drones.

    5) Pokémon HeatGold/SoulSilver. I trust no elaboration is really needed considerign the crowd this website caters to. XD

    Honorable mentions: Golden Sun series, Megaman series, Kingdom Hearts series, Myst series, Monkey Island series.

    It's all self-explainatory, I'm a RTS fan and 4/5 games are RTS games B)
     
    Honestly, I don't play enough video games to have a top five. As such, my number one would have to be Pokemon, followed by Mario, and then just whatever Nintendo game I happen to run by. And since I rarely play anything other than Pokemon my actual top five individual titles would end up benign all Pokemon games xD
     
    Although there are way to many good games, here is a list of games i never get bored of/enjoyed a lot:

    1) Pokemon
    2) Crash Bandicoot 3
    3) GTA 5
    4) Kingdom Hearts II
    5) The Last of Us

    I thought of whatever came to mind, basically. :/ I don't play as many video games as I used to, so these are the ones I play the most. Well... not Kingdom hearts, but the rest of them I do.
     
    There's a small collection of games that I consider to be really great, in my opinion, so it's hard to single 5 of them out to consider them my "favourites." In no particular order:

    1) The Last of Us
    2) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
    3) Final Fantasy VIII
    4) Ni no Kuni
    5) Crisis Core

    3. Elder Scrolls (specifics? The Elder Scolls IV: Oblivion)
    4. Dragon Age (Dragon Age: Origins)
    5. Call of Duty (Call of Duty Black Ops II)
