Introduction
Welcome to Touhou Project Mafia: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. If you've never heard of the Touhou Project, there is only one thing you really need to be aware of going into this game: Touhou Project games are extremely difficult for the good guys, and the mafia version is no different. Those who have played mafia before will find that this is very much a normal mafia game aside from the unique roles, who all have unique abilities called "Spell Cards."
Spell Cards are no different functionally from an ability in a normal mafia game, although they tend to be much more dangerous to be on the receiving end of. Some characters will have one Spell Card, some will have more, while most will have none at all. Most Spell Cards can are only usable once, although there may be chances for characters to earn a second use.
In this game, there will be three groups at play:
While the game was designed with a certain amount of balance in mind, the humans won't be winning this game easily. After all, only kids play easy mode.
Story
Summer started like any other in Gensokyo, sunny and peaceful. Well, as peaceful as it could be for humans living in a world infested with youkai. However, that all changed a week ago when a mysterious red mist appeared and covered much of the land. Although seemingly harmless at first, the humans and even some youkai have become concerned as the mist has begun to block out the sun, leaving Gensokyo dark and cold as the night. Not only that, but in the dead of night when the sun has set, humans have been disappearing from the Human Village.
Young shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei of the Hakurei Shrine has decided enough is enough. Someone needs to put a stop to the disappearances and clear up this red mist.
The Humans
The good guys, most humans are innocent people just trying to live their lives in Gensokyo. Fortunately, there are some that have the power to stand up to youkai and fight back.
The Scarlet Devil Mansion
A mysterious building that appeared on the ridge of the Misty Lake one day, this Eastern-style mansion is home to the vampire Remilia Scarlet and her underlings.
The Fairies
Magical beings found all over Gensokyo, they usually represent some aspect of nature. The Fairies will win the game if they outnumber all other groups at the end of the game.
Others
Characters the don't really belong to a particular team, with their own unique win conditions. Think of them as part of the third-party.

Shrine Maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, despite being somewhat lazy in her free time she takes her duties to the shrine very seriously. Although she will say she wants to eliminate all youkai, Reimu really just wants Gensokyo to attain a peace free from violence.
Evil-Sealing Circle - One of Reimu's specialties is her sealing technique. With this seal, Reimu can trap and eliminate a Youkai. However, a human will be unharmed.
Fantasy Seal - A forbidden seal. Only Reimu knows what it does.
Marisa Kirisame
A young magician originally from the Human Village (but now living in the Forest of Magic), her motto is: "It ain't magic if it ain't flashy. Danmaku's all about firepower." Marisa is a bit of a hoarder and has been known to steal from everyone.
Master Spark - Marisa's speciality is power. With this spell she can instantly kill someone. However, it is a bit unwieldy and might also hit someone she doesn't mean to!
Stardust Reverie - Another instant-kill attack, but it's pretty easy to dodge.
Genji
Reimu's pet turtle. She used to fly around on his back, but these days she can do that on her own. He likes to hang out in the pond behind the Hakurei Shrine.
Hieda no Akyuu
A girl from the Human Village born to the Hieda family, she is the current "Child of Miare," the author of the Gensokyo Chronicle (the history of Gensokyo).
Child of Miare - As the Child, Akyuu has the ability not forget something she has already seen once. Each night she may pick a person to investigate and learn their role.
Humans

Curse of Vlad Tepes - A passive ability, attacking Remilia is a dangerous thing! Someone that votes to either lynch her or targets her with a kill-action may find themselves cursed and dying the next day!
Scarlet Gensokyo - Remilia has the ability to change the result of a lynch that is not against herself.
Sakuya Izayoi
Head Maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, nobody truly knows who you are. A human? A youkai?
The World - ???
Patchouli Knowledge
A very powerful magician that lives within the enormous library of the mansion, she is weakened by her poor health.
Silent Selene - Drawing upon the powers of the moon, Patchouli can cast a spell that will silence a player once per night.
Philosopher's Stone - ???
Koakuma
A devil seen around the library, Koakuma is Patchouli's loyal servant.
Hong Meiling
Gate Keeper of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, it's not known what type of youkai she is. Known for both her mastery of martial arts as well as her love of siestas.
Extreme Colorful Typhoon - Each night, protect a person. If they are visited, you have a chance of either killing the visitor or being hit by the action yourself.
Fairy Maid
A maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, you also have a chance to win with the rest of the fairies. But, if Remilia or Sakuya find you trying to betray the mansion you will be eliminated.

- All the PokéCommunity rules apply, of course
- Post your votes in the format [kill] name. Votes not in this format may not be counted.
- Abstaining is not allowed, but you can vote for yourself. Be warned: if everyone votes for themselves, I might just kill someone at random.
- Missing two votes will cause you to be replaced or killed, no exceptions.
- When you die, you may make one dead post that does not contain any game information. After that you're gone.
- Don't post in the night phase. If you do, you will be exposed and/or die.
