[PKMN FULL] TRAINERS (OOC)

Charlotte Raine aka Charlie

Appearance
Charlie is very short, standing at a height of 5'2. She is very slender and petite thanks to her ultimate dieting plans. Her hair is super long, stopping just past the middle of her back. She keeps her color natural, platinum blonde, always wearing her hair half up in 2 side ponytails. Her eyes gold in color, for success, duh. Basically? She's a bit flawless(and a little conceited...).

Family
Charlie grew up as an only child. Her parents, Artemis and Lily Raine, are the proud owners of Raine Hotel and Spa on the beach front in Fuchsia City. Arte takes care of the hotel side of the business while Lily takes care of the Pokemon spa and daycare located inside the hotel. While her parents run the hotel, she is cared for by her family maid, Amelia. Charlie has a very close bond with Amelia and usually confides in her about all her problems.

Brief history
Growing up, Charlie always assumed and expected she would go to Safari Academy. Her family has plenty of money and she spent most of her free time learning everything she could about Pokemon so she could be the #1 trainer at the academy. Due to her spoiled and selfish attitude, her parents thought she could use a reality check and sent her to Cape College. They believe she needs to learn how to work for her own success since they may have spoiled her a bit too much growing up. Charlie has never done anything for herself, so having to earn her place in this school will be a big challenge.

Personality
Very competitive. Grew up very spoiled and always had things handed to her. Her attitude comes off as a bit sassy and a know-it-all. She's a bit of a lone-wolf who thinks she doesn't need any help. However, she does have her soft moments, usually a complete 180 change in personality when seen with her maid, Amelia. She does have a very caring and nurturing side, but the rarity of seeing that is compared to shooting stars. Maybe she'll meet some friends that provoke that side of her more often...

Hobbies
Aside from studying a lot about Pokemon, she's very into dieting. She is always on top of the new diet plans and strives to be healthy in every aspect. She's not much for exercise, but she is very picky about what she eats. But don't let that fool you, she is also the Queen of sneaking sugary snacks when she's stressed or upset. She is also very up to date with latest beauty trends and is always making sure her skin is looking super fabulous.

Dreams or aspirations
Charlie took a fancy to Flying Type Pokemon while growing up in the city that houses the Flying Type Gym. Her dream is to become the next Flying Type Gym Leader. Even though she is spoiled and a bit of a brat, she realizes that her attitude could be improved. She hopes to revamp her attitude and learn valuable lessons from her Journey.

Charlie twirls and flops onto her bed staring up at the ceiling. She starts to smile endlessly at the thought of finally attending Safari Academy. She begins daydreaming about how she will be at the top and show up everyone else in the school. Her thoughts are interrupted by a knock at the door. "Miss Charlotte?" her maid, Amelia, asks, "Your parents would like to have a word with you." "Thank you, Amelia. I will be down in a moment", Charlie exclaims. Charlie takes a deep breath, stands up from the bed and prepares to meet with her parents.

On her way down the stairs she ponders what the topic of discussion will be. She is hopeful that it is finally time to put the plans in motion for Safari Academy. As she leads into the dining room, she sees her parents sitting at the end of the table, papers sprawled across the surface. Her face lights up, could that be the paperwork for her school admission? She pulls out a chair on the opposite end and sits down.

"Good morning, Charlie" her father greets her with a concerned look on his face. She is immediately confused and shifts her eyes to see her mother's gaze strictly glued to the table underneath her. Her mother was never good at confrontation when it came to disciplining Charlie. Her stomach started shifting into knots, but she toughened up and muttered, "Good morning, Father".

"Your mother and I have been discussing your schooling options. While we feel you'll be a good fit at Safari Academy, we also feel you need to learn a bit more about what it takes to be successful in life." Charlie immediately switches her feelings to anger, how could her father think she doesn't know how to be successful? She has spent her whole life being prepared for this moment! A bit disgruntled, she asks "And what exactly are you proposing? I already know I have what it takes to be the best at Safari Academy! How could that not make you guys proud?". Her father raises his hands to his forehead and slowly shakes his head, "Honey, we are so proud of you. But we have also realized that we've spoiled you too much in life, and we want you to understand what it means to earn things on your own. Much like your mother and I did with this hotel".

Charlie looks at her mother, still staring down at the table in front of her. "Mother, you've always told me to be nothing short of my perfect self. I don't understand why going to Safari Academy is being put into question here." Before her mother could respond, her father butts in, "Charlotte, I have set up an interview for you at Cape College. If you do not ace this interview, you will not be attending school. My word is final, it is time for you to grow up."

Charlie abruptly shoves her chair back and stands up in a hurry. She cuts a mean gaze at her father and walks out of the dining room with an attitude. She quickly rushes to the kitchen to find her secret stash of pocky and heads out to her back yard to find her favorite spot. Charlie has always been known for sneaking snacks when she's upset and going to hide behind her families rather large willow tree that sits at the edge of her 2 1/2 acre lawn. There she will wait until her maid, Amelia, comes to find her with open arms for her to cry into.

Keone Maluhia
Age: 14
Hometown: Hau'oli City, Alola
Gender: Male

Family: Keone is the youngest child of Ikaia and Haila Maluhia. He has an older brother, Kainalu. His grandmother, Iwalani, resides with the family in their home on the outskirts of Hau'Oli City.

Appearance: Keone has somewhat of a rugged appearance. He has bronze skin, white tresses, bushy brows, and piercing yellow-green orbs. Similarly to his father, he has broad shoulders, a sharp jaw, has a muscular physique and is immensely tall for a boy his age, being over 6 feet in height. He looks considerably older than he is and many assume that Kainalu and him are twins. Keone's style is anything comfortable and breathable. His usual attire consists of board shorts, cotton tank tops and often traverses through town barefoot. After moving to Kanto, he changed his style slightly, trading his board shorts for athletic/basketball shorts and discovered shoes in the form of Jordans. He still regularly wears tank tops and he always has a chain around his neck that his grandmother gifted to him. She says that it was blessed by the guardian Tapu Koko and she believes that as long as he adorns it, the spirit of Tapu Koko will watch over him.

Brief History: Iwalani was a highly-respected priestess who devoted her life to researching and honouring the guardian deities of Alola. Her daughter and Keone's mother, Haila, followed in her mother's footsteps and became a renowned spiritual leader who helped lead ceremonies honouring the island deity, Tapu Koko. She also studied medicine and helped to treat ill patients in their town. Ikaia was a carpenter and was devoted to his career as such. Kainalu and Keone were both born in Iki town and were collectively raised to honour and embrace traditional Alolan culture and spirituality. The family relocated to Hau'oli City after Ikaia desired to pursue his true passion of becoming a restaurateur. The family visited relatives in Iki Town often, especially for ceremonies and festivals. Moving to Hau'Oli introduced Keone and his elder brother to surfing, a sport that the two of them took to instantly. When they weren't in school or helping out in their father's restaurant, they were catching waves. Both Keone and Kainalu also took an interest in martial arts and studied under a famed jiu-jitsu instructor who had moved to Melemele island from Johto. Both brothers trained constantly, balancing their passions for surfing and martial arts, partaking in surfing competitions whilst training to earn their black belts in jiu-jitsu. After both brothers had received their belts, Kainalu made the decision to work towards competing on an international stage as a professional martial artist. Keone, however, sought a separate fate. He adored both surfing and martial arts and felt that he simply couldn't choose between them. Instead, he applied to Cape College without his parent's knowledge as a temporary escape. He was raised to respect and honour pokemon and thus he figured there was no better path for him than to be a trainer. Haila and Ikaia initially were displeased after learning of their son's application to the prestigious school, as they didn't want him to travel to a foreign region at such a young age. They eventually agreed after considering how becoming a trainer and befriending many pokemon would benefit their son.

Personality: Keone is quiet. He's not necessarily a private person, he just doesn't have much to say. He's a listener. He grew up listening to his grandmother's myths and folktales, he studied the ocean currents, and observed as his jiu-jitsu instructor, Mamoru, showed him various grappling techniques. He has lived his life in observation. Listening, learning, practicing, and perfecting. His silent demeanor has meant that others perceive him as overly nonchalant or distant. Furthermore, his default expression is a frown and may be misinterpreted as a scowl. This, in combination with his physique and height, means that others assume that he is impertiant. Keone doesn't generally enjoy classroom settings. He considers desks to be restraining and uncomfortable. While not being the most successful academically, Keone flourishes kinesthetically. He enjoys sports and due to his strength and speed he excels at practically anything that requires physical exertion. Keone is an incredibly patient person, he has learned the importance of waiting for the right wave or for the right moment to strike and thus has mastered the art of patience. Though, Keone can be a straight shooter. He's blunt if necessary. He sees no point in fluffy conversation or sugar coating - he'll give his honest opinion regardless of emotional involvement. Another notable thing about Keone is that he's a naturally curious individual. He likes to examine things, to look at them, feel them, to become one with them.

Nice SU, Fox! The only thing I have to comment on is her history. What was she like at the school? She's been there for at least 2 years now, so how has it changed her attitude so far? Is she still a lone wolf or did she make friends (with any of the other player characters here)?
 
Ninetales - same question for you as above ^^ you mention that he doesn't enjoy a classroom setting. Did he otherwise thrive at Cape College or could he just not wait to finally get to graduate, itching for freedom? :)

Yes, Keone did enjoy his experience at Cape College. There were times where he certainly longed for the sun-drenched beaches of Alola, though he appreciated the change of scenery overall. Even though he didn't receive the best grades, he relished in the fact that he was learning something of interest to him and something that he perceived as useful. He views his time at Cape College as a necessary stepping stone in life which will help to shape his future.

Oh yeah, guess I didn't quite think about adding that. :3

I'm going to say that school hasn't really changed her self much except maybe learning to help with chores and pick up after herself, though she still tries to skip out of doing chores every now and again. I don't really want to say for sure if she's made friends with any current characters, I think I'm just going to keep her as being pretty much on her own up until this point when I start introducing her to current characters. In her mind "she doesn't need any friends to be successful". But with her poor attitude, she's definitely gotten in trouble quite a few times for mouthing off or even slacking off with chores and such. Others at the school just typically leave her alone since she acts as if she can't be bothered. I'd say though, she appears more approachable now then she did at the start of school.

Maverick "Mav" Musashi
Age: 17 (500 years old~)
Gender: Male
Hometown: Lavender Town

Appearance: Maverick is a tall, thin, teenager with long, silky black tresses, and despondent, gem-like eyes. He constantly has violet bags under his eyes from lack of rest and is known for his milky white complexion. He generally enjoys wearing traditional clothing, and almost exclusively wears Yukatas, either in a shade of plum or an inky black. His skin is healthy and he is rather handsome, with angular features, though his constant smoking and consumption of tobacco products may catch up to him.

Brief History: Mav was raised by a single mother, Aya, who worked multiple jobs to support her family, as his father was out of the picture. This meant that Mav spent a lot of time in solitude. Throughout his childhood, Mav recalled memories of a past life, an existence ravaged by war and death. He would explain certain events to his mother in immaculate detail. Alarmed, she brought him to see a local clairvoyant, who believed that Mav was the reincarnation of a warrior who perished in the feudal era. What further adds to this hypothesis, is Mav's protectiveness over Lavender Tower. The clairvoyant told that this is because Mav's former body was buried in the exact spot where the tower was constructed and thus, he has spiritual ties to the tower.

Personality: Mav is cold, calculated, and brutal. He is externally distant and unapproachable. He has a special disdain for trainers, despite being one himself, as he believes that many objectify their pokemon and treat them as tools rather than recognizing them as individual beings worthy of care and respect. He disapproves of the establishment of the power plant and dismisses factory workers completely, regarding them as inhumane and believing that they are responsible for the destruction of harmony in Lavender town. While Mav is generally nonchalant, he can be quite irritable and tends to have a short fuse, any mention of the electric type gym can set him off. Though he tends to keep others at a distance, he has a close relationship with his mother, as well as Jarmie and Lucretia, who share his passion for preserving the ghost-type gym. He does have an appreciation for all affiliated with the petition to replace Beaumont's gym, even if he doesn't externally show it.

Two more characters to be introduced in Lavender Town!​

Lucretia Torres

18 - ♀ - Lavender Town - Warden's friend
Lucretia has never been able to let go of her curious, looking-for-thrills attitude that has drawn her to the Tower for years. To be fair, she also has no reason to: it provided her with new friends, new stories to tell, and it made her - an otherwise average brunette girl with an unusual name - that more charming. In fact, being at the center of attention is something Lucretia has always longed for, but also struggled with.

At first, her companies and behavior were a cause of conflict in her family, and at times even between her friends, but she's definitely improved on this. Her family respects her friends and is generally less strict with her, while her friends accept and encourage Lucretia to show her more enthusiastic and outgoing side as long as she is serious and well mannered when needed (especially when Jarmie is around). Thanks to them, she has also found her own particular style: she likes mixing more traditional clothing with some modern accessories here and there, maybe even more than Jarmie. She'll usually prefer colorful items to contrast with her rather pale skin and light blue eyes, but what is often considered her signature look is the long braid on the back of her head.

To go with her personality, Jarmie has helped her catch one of the Misdreavus that hang around the Tower. While not as good in battle as the Warden and her Sableye, the two are still practicing with her and improving their skills. Plus, they're a very nice match, as they're both easy-going, confident, and quite sassy too!
For that matter... NEVER call her Lucy, it's a totally different name. Lu is ok if you really can't resist, but Crish is much better already.

Sarah Sherwood

14 - ♀ - Fuchsia City - Safari Academy graduate Trainer
With green eyes, brown hair styled in a long bob and a tall but thin build, Sarah is a rather quiet and reserved girl who usually tries to keep her outfits simple, good for adventuring and never too flashy. After joining Safari Academy relatively late, she quickly filled in the role of some kind of caretaker for many of the younger students in her class, including Courtney - something she didn't mind doing, as she really likes being helpful in general: she also had to learn, however, how to avoid others from taking advantage of her. This, coupled with her previous education, has made her rather mature for her age.

Coming from a family of accomplished Trainers, she is a now a formidable one as well, but still has to find out exactly what she wants to use her battling skills for. At first, everything looked like a competition to her, prompting her to be quite harsh on herself and a bit pessimistic, but being able to help out others and give emotional support has proven to be a nice outlet for these feelings and has made her happier as well. Plus... even if Courtney is a lot of work, she still finds her quite likeable deep inside.

Appearance
Vince has jet black hair, usually always messy and hangs in front of his face over his eyes. He says he combs it but who knows if he's ever even held a comb. His eyes bright blue like the sea that he grew up side by side with in Vermilion City, always accompanied with thick squared, black frames. He is very athletic and muscular from spending most of his time training on the beach, preparing for his adventures as a trainer. He is about 5'8 and will absolutely argue with you that he is still 'growing'.

Family
Vince has 2 younger twin sisters, Tayla and Rylee, they are 10 years old. He spent a lot of time taking care of them while his parents were at work, he's very protective of them. His mother, Carla, works on the S.S. Anne as an attendant while his father, Jayce, is a ship mechanic.

Brief history
Vince became one of Charlie's select few friends while attending Cape College. He will tease and say he's her best friend, but she usually scoffs and says he's nothing more than a service dog. Vince was very admired by her strong and passionate personality when it came to being the best trainer she could be. He spent weeks trying to get her attention and get on her good side. Although she enjoys her time alone and usually tries to hide from Vince, he is always there when she needs a buddy.

Personality
He's usually a pretty happy guy. Normally you'll find him smiling about absolutely nothing which typically annoys Charlie. He's a little slow when it comes to learning, part of why he befriended Charlie so he could get better with school. He's got a very caring and nurturing side after taking care of his sister's a lot while his parents were working. This may seem great and all but Vince has a major downfall.... He is almost always excited and when he is excited he just..."Does. Not. Shut. Up." in the words of Charlie. He has had a hard time making friends with some of the others due to this. But Charlie is normally pretty good at putting him in his place during these outbreaks.
