Gen 9 has my least favorite designs. I was struggling to find Pokemon that I liked.

Turned out there are some good ones, but then there's pokemon like Spidops which feel like they could be found as an enemy from a PS2 bargain bin game.

Ah. Not to insult your favorite pokemon then. It is nice art work.

I guess for me I have a specific preference for bug types. The mystical looking ones like Butterfree or Volcarona are ones I like.

I actually think the art you shared makes it look more natural. Gen 9 isn't a graphical powerhouse. I wasn't a fan of how it's eyes looked in game.

Gen-IV, Gen-V and 3DS Hoenn has best design according to me. The elemental touches, Pokémon concepts and sound tracks are very nice. Though these are my personal likings, but still are my favorite.

I think that Gen-VI was the last generation where all Pokémon design and graphics looked better. Afterwards it started to go downwards, and S/V seems to have very less Pokémon who look good to me.

Doesn't sound good to compare Koraidon/Miraidon with Groudon/Kyogre. And neither Terapagos is comparable with Mega Rayquaza.(in terms of looks and lore, of course!)

I guess PLA was good because it was related to ancient Sinnoh, and old theories and lore of past generations are much more appealing which can be explored and have better concepts than having machinized and futuristic Pokemon, which was introduced in S/V. It will be interesting to see what we will get in Gen-X, and I just hope that the Company again manages to find the better concepts which was there till Kalos.

Although I had not played it, but it's visual and art style looked appealing to me.
Will consider to get it once I am free enough to play out the games!

Never thought I'd play a pokemon game where a new evo of scyther with litteral axes for hands fights me while I throw bags of food at it while the scyther evo actively tries to end my carrier.

The idea actually seems natural, as we expect in real wildlife, where "taming" animals require to weaken them first while they keep attacking us.

And that was pretty entertaining with the concepts as well, though I didn't liked Origin forme Dialga and Palkia. They both look very weird, and definitely way too below from Giratina-Origin, who usually comes into my personal favorite, both in terms of looks and the lore. It would have been nice if the company would have made the remake of Platinum instead.
