For me night means umbreon and day means espeon. I like both of these pokemon, but since on my first ever playthrough of Pokemon Gold I made my eevee an espeon, I think I'll pick day for nostalgia's sake.

I must admit I don't really like the day/night cycle in Pokemon games. Especially the ones tied to the real clock, because of the way my schedule shifts around, and the times I'm usually the most busy, I rarely ever have time while it's daylight to hunt time sensitive Pokemon. Though I'm not really a fan of how Gen 9 does it either. Because then I find myself having to deal with waiting around for a half an hour in real time just to continue to hunt something if I don't manage to find it in time. Frankly, I'd be happy if they took out all the time stuff and only left in the cosmetic changes like the music and such. But since this is a To'W thread, I'll pick night, since I AM in the Shadow Realm after all. :p

In Oras the music theme while soaring on Latias/Latios changed depending on whether you were flying at day or night. I associate the heroic daytime music probably more with soaring though because I probably heard it more.

This is tough because I like a lot of the night-based and day-based evos, but something I cannot overlook is Riolu evolving into Lucario in the daytime once it has achieved strong bond with the player. I will have to stick with day I think for Lucario's sake.
