I prefer Team Magma as well. Both for their uniforms and for their goals as a team. I can appreciate Aqua's desire to help Pokemon, but in the process of expanding the oceans, they're going to make life worse for all the Pokemon who live on land for just the improvement of the ones in the sea. It's not worth it just so some people can play pirate.

Team Magma would be more likely to actually succeed in their plans since their leader actually... plans things out. Team Aqua's leader is all brawn and no brain, which is a bit odd since I've always associated lava with brute force and water more with elegance.

I bought Omega Ruby because I wanted to use primal Groudon more, but I like Aqua as an "evil team" the most. I think they have cooler designs. Archie looks so powerful in Oras with that barrel chest, and more like a leader, and the imagery around him better represents the sea with details like anchor-shaped chain than I think Maxie symbolizes the earth. I think remake Shelly looks striking too, she looks more the part of the villainous admin with the Cruella streak of hair.

Both Team Aqua and Team Magma were seting off disasters capable of destroying humanity, but that was the whole point for Team Aqua, at least in Oras. Archie felt we needed to pay for destroying the planet, and saw potential for other species to thrive with humans gone. Archie seemed to at least partially understand what would result from unleashing the cover legendary on us, Maxie seemed not know at all, believing that his actions would help people and creating more space for humankind to live, while really making a place that would be unhabitable for the population, so I argue Maxie's plan failed by a larger margin. Archie has a change of heart because he underestimated the number of pokemon that would be killed, but some species, especially deep in the ocean could still flourish, making him imo probably closer to achieving his goal than Maxie was.

Slight edge to the future forms. There are past forms I like, Scream Tail and Roaring Moon come to mind, and future forms like Iron Bundle and Iron Valiant, the real clincher though is the box legendary- it's the reason I bought Violet. I like Koraidon too, but loved Miraidon a lot more.

I much prefer the future designs. I love Iron Treads and Iron Valiant lol.
