I must've taken a wrong turn somewhere =P

In gen 8 & gen 9 being a stone evo is a plus due to full access (in gen 8, almost full access in gen 9) to level up moves the moment you use it.

Charizard is my favorite person's favorite Pokemon. No reason for me to want it to win that matters more than that to me.

Unfortunately I can't find any art that would actually match those names... there is one Charizard with bigger wings, but it looks too weird to me.
Wait it's a 2 in 1 image.... the top one is actually kinda nice, but doesn't really look like Charizard all that much anymore. The bottom one is the one that weirded me out:

Arcanine is loyal and true to his instincts, hence he is legendary dog.

Bagon wanted to soar in skies, hence he became an original flying dragon, whereas Charmeleon's only motive was to fight against Aerodactyl rather than any dreams, hence he received penalty in his typing, and got fire instead of dragon!!

Had Charmeleon learned something from Shelgon, then thing could have been different.........

Edit: guess Aerodactyl was just an example as it's dex entries are about being violent or barbaric.

It was from anime, where Aerodactyl was taunting him, which forced him to evolve into Charizard !!

As much as I like the look of Arcanine's design, I honestly like how Charizard looks more.
