I'm pretty sure froofy doesn't mean what you think it means...

I finally got the 5.1.1 Android update kicked my way by Sony and Verizon last Thursday. I like many of the features of the update and also being able to have a more secure device (I was stuck on 4.4.4), though I had to do a factory reset to get SMS working again, which broke in the update and was apparently very common among Xperia owners who received the update.

*sometimes wishes he had a "weak" system to test things on :P*

Hard to know if you're running into performance issues if you don't have something weak!

I kinda regret sending my previous laptop to my little sister. I felt that I never really have a need for that computer because it's just gonna collect dust. But then I could have used it to power up Linux.

Then again I could always get an older computer for cheap at Goodwill.

I totally could get an Intel Compute Stick or other similar mini PCs if I really had to have a weak system, but I think there's just no point to all this yet.

Ah, things that aren't clear-cut... and heck, I still want to buy a new tablet. Even though financially, it's not too hot lately. Mostly to do with the unusual inflation lately.

I asked for 960m asus laptop, thought I can get rm3699 version with 128 ssd addition.

But eventually it became 4599. I hate asus latest products *cries*

Aww. Sometimes product guides can end up being way off!

Come to think about it, judging from what I'm seeing in the Skype chat, I guess you could pick either. Follow your heart? :P

Is your laptop lightweight though? If not, then I'd be careful doing that if I were you.

It probably isn't. It's also overdue for replacement, judging from a recent chat in Skype. :) Figured that might as well as talk him into skipping the desktop video card upgrade and splurge on a good laptop, seeing as he's going to need a good laptop even more soon.

That's my dad's laptop

Pentium dual core 1.6 Ghz
Intel HD graphics
1GB RAM
battery life is like 2 hours for normal surfing net
no GTA
CS? maybe for 1.6. Takes a whoping time to run.
Dun even think multi task. No.
At least still can play HD movies with no ease.

Heh. HD video isn't really hardcore processing, really, given that Pentium 4s could do it. (It's usually the mobile hardware of that time couldn't cope with.)

I think you're going to be very happy when you end up pole-vaulting hardware generations into the land of Skylake-based quad-core gaming laptops with fancy hardware, backlit keyboards, dazzling displays, and potent graphics power! :)

Yeah, mine is pretty hard to hold with one hand. It's a freakin' brick. lmao

Goes to show how tough it can get performance-wise.
