What do you think about using formatted text anywhere? People very often format text (using a particular color, font or font size) for places like instant messages, e-mail, forums (like PC), etc. so I think you've at least experienced this phenomenon firsthand. Heck, PC even has a Default Post Formatting Settings function back in User CP. So yeah. Are you okay with people typing in color for their posts?

Personally, I'm fine with it. As long as you use a color that looks good on all styles (although I think that's pretty difficult to find) and/or a readable font, then I say go for it. :D I used to type in #00CDFF for every single post I made back in 2008, so I suppose that's why I'm not bothered or irritated about it. Right now that color looks pretty bad to me, but I thought it looked like a cool match with the Squirtle theme I had going on back then, so yeah. I mean if I decided to format my instant messages, I would pick that color out of nostalgia, and perhaps Tahoma or Courier New if I decided on a font. :p

Same as you. I don't care much, so long as I can read it without too much trouble. My vision isn't the best, so I might have a difficult time reading certain fonts because everything blurs together.

I remember when AIM was popular, and all the middle schoolers jumped on it - harsh colors and Comic Sans everywhere

I was guilty of that xp

It doesn't bother me (well, obviously because my posts on here are formatted) but if it's a really eye-straining color or overall difficult to read font, then I get a little annoyed by it. I actually really like it if it's well organized, as it's just self-expression, nothin' wrong with that.

I like using the default font/color, as I'm too lazy to change it. I don't mind if other people use their own fonts/colors, though.

I love typing in color even if I don't do it often, I feel sometimes it brings life to the post. However, if excessive I don't care for it.

I feel I should do it more often, I've never done it, but it would help for themes like Skull Kid and others xD Thank you Jellyfan1 for the idea of text-shadow xD

Personally, I like text formatting so I do that everytime I post, but. I've saved the combination in my notepad so i just c/p the codes before i post everytime.

    its pretty imo

A few years ago I used to type in color on MSN, but I haven't done that there or anywhere else for a long time now. I personally like to keep it simple. As for others who use it, I don't mind it so long as I can read it. Whenever the font color is too bright for a certain theme or too dark it can be a bit annoying to read, especially if it's a lengthy post. Overall though, I like to think that default text is the way to go!

I used to have my font changed to segoe ui until it didn't change automatically until it didn't do so anymore. been default since because i can't be bothered to type it in every post and i've decided years ago to never do colors in my posts again. though i still had color text on msn and such. still have it on aim but that's likely becausei am too lazy to change it.

I don't do it cos this lazy Snorlax is so lazy that it doesn't even bother about this things.

Kudos to those who take the time and effort to format their posts and all those stuff though, cos I could never find the patience to do it.

I only use custom fonts for creating backgrounds and images. Otherwise I rarely customize my fonts unless I want to emphasize a word.

I don't really care. I very rarely put forth the effort to think of a different font to use, personally. Unless someone's using a really hard to read font, I don't mind that either.

I used to do it a lot, but when I started coming here, and saw there were a bunch of forum styles, I felt that someone is going to have trouble reading it eventually.

Comic Sans and Cabin Sketch look horrible against Verdana or Tahoma. I prefer readable fonts, with non-neon colors. Although formatting fonts wouldn't hurt a bit.

I'm not a huge fan of it. I think it looks better when it's in the regular black Verdana, and dressing it up just makes it look unprofessional. Not that one needs to be professional on a Pokemon forum, but I like things that look professional :P
