I don't think I could keep watching anime if I never dropped the ones that bored me. I have 100+, romanceLv.1, sliceoflifeLv.1 for anime and the 50% perv for manga. not even sure how that perv one works since it jumped by 20% suddenly and hasn't changed at all since. It's a shame, the other picture was better.

There's a formula to the perv one. A single series can cause a noticeable shift in score.

Lol I'm so glad I'm friends with one of you 'cause I'm too lazy to type in my username. :v

Anyway... https://graph.anime.sc/Illusione-Tempus/profile

Mystery Lv 1, Romance Lv 1, SoL Lv 1 and 100 mark and if I cleared my on-hold list it'll reach the 200 mark lol. Also I just noticed that 32% of my ratings are still at 8 omg I should fix that soon. o_o

wowowo - How did you turn my LN/VN discussion into a fetish discussion!? Someone stop this madness!

If you wanted to create great LN/VN then you must learn about fetish .
You must learn it , know it , Study it , MASTER IT !
Then use it to drew all the hungry male toward it .
''That how you will create a great LN/VN , My disciple!''

Mecha: Level 1,
Mystery: Level 2,
Romance: Level Max (Dahell?),
Slice of Life: Level 3 (this makes me sad because I don't like Slice of Life),
I watch anime only for the plot... LOL,
Watched 400 anime. That's... a lot. You can be proud of yourself, that's for sure.

I feel let down knowing I personally don't like many Romance, Mecha or Slice of Life animes LOL, Also I am just a sucker for boobs. Halp me!

Level two romance, 200 completed, and- ooh, almost level three slice of life. Should get on that.

New (no) life goal: get all achievements.

They've got a page that lists the conditions for all the achievements. Some are impossible to get while having another in their tree. Like your manga one for having a mean score above 8 is impossible to have if you have the one for mean score less than 5 or the less than 3 one. And the ones based on fanservice follow a formula.

You can still collect most of them, though. The ratings ones and the "No Drop" ones are probably the hardest to keep.

Alternatively, you could just bump half your lower than 8 scores to a 9 and go for the "I love Chinese cartoons" achievement. :P

Well, a lot of harem anime technically qualify as romance anime. Your list of the 164 series that earned you the Romance Max level achievement inside the spoilers here:

Spoiler:

There's a lot of fanservice and harem anime in there.

I also see that your recent history is crazy. Was Diamond no Ace just a list correction, or something you actually watched? I know I've got a few list number corrections mixed into my recent history in both anime and manga.

That's not necessary for VN and LN discussion at all...

I got the completionist for not dropping any anime and then the 100 anime watched one. I should fill out my manga list sometime.

That you should. Also, 41 episodes, 41 different titles in your recent history? That's crazy.

Yeah I got stuck trying to remember a single anime that I watched a few years back and then... well... I'm very forgetful and easily interested in new things. -stares at the ever increasing list of shows I'm currently hopping back and forth between-

I can't believe all them animes count as romance, never even realised that, just saw them thought meh I'll try them and it seems they've all add up :P

Diamond no ace was a recent watch, I started with like the first 9 episodes then didn't watch it for like 27 days, then I managed to watch the rest of the episodes in about 2 days.
Just noticed the time on which I added them, What you'll find is I watched a bulk amount of episodes then added them to the total episodes watched but it looks like some of the times are a bit weird, might be an error with them or something to do with how they calculate it lol.

But yes I can watch 75 episodes of an anime in a day, Obviously boring episodes I tend to fast forward through :x

@Kingdom of Tea: Fast forwarding through boring episodes sounds kinda like cheating the watch lists to me. :P Though that's probably because I'm kind of a completionist and also am afraid I'll miss some crucial plot detail that's shoehorned into an otherwise boring episode. I also like "slice of life" a bit more than you do, as you can see from the fact that I've got 47/180 that qualify that I've seen versus your 65/439, so less action-y episodes in a series aren't as insufferable for me as they probably are for you.

And MAL's tag system is definitely kind of vague.

Look at it this way: at least you're still under 60 in your want to watch queue. You could be doing what I do and just add anything even remotely interesting or even remotely tied to series you're reading/watching to the list. I have half the total days watched that you do, yet nearly 10 times as many anime between my Watching, On-Hold, and PtW lists as a backlog.

I know some people would find it cheating the watch list but I can't keep an anime on hold because I skipped through 1-2 episodes and watched the rest, How am i ever going to complete Bleach if I can't skip through the random filler episodes and recaps :P

I think my dislike for Slice of Life is mainly because when I watch something I want it to be sort of surreal, not something that I can see as being everyday life, I still watch Slice of Life because some of them throw in some other genres like Comedy to make them more interesting so I can still get on board with them :p

Yeah barely, gotta have some kind of self control since I still have to have a life somewhere in there haha. But.... why did you drop .hack//sign? </3

I only skip fillers in long shounen running animes that I particularly don't like. I think Bleach is the only one, but probably if I watched Naruto I would do the same. I don't mind an episode not related to the plot, but I won't EVER watch a whole filler arc about nothing...

I enjoyed most of the Bleach filler arcs though. The bount arc was my favorite... though that's not exactly one of the more popular ones with other people. I couldn't stand the whole invading gotei 13 or swords coming to life arcs. But they're still a lot better than the Naruto fillers. The first filler arc in Shippuden was the only watchable one in shippuden.

Sometimes if an anime feels really slow and has no reason to be, I watch it at 130% speed.

I know, I'm awful.

You and me will be best friends forever because I also do this, Worst one is when you get a 12 episode anime and they drag out like the first 9 episodes and end everything quickly in 3. Makes me really sad :(

I've never really been the type to watch anime because I feel compelled to. It's as simple as "if I'm enjoying myself after the drop threshold, I'll watch it, if I don't, I won't", and if I find that the show's fallen after the drop threshold, I'll stop watching then, too.

Because I care a lot more about what I get out of an anime and how much I enjoy it than pretty much anything else, it's why I could never call myself a completionist- I do it for the fun rather than for the edification, and it's a part of the reason I have so many fewer anime completed than other people, as well as why I have so few low ratings and don't particularly wade through my backlog so much as keep one for when I'm in the mood to watch something new.

This said, thinking about it now, I might need to reassess my ratings. I had SAO and NGNL at a...6 and a 5, I think, and then I looked down and there was this massive void where nothing lived called ratings 4-0 (Well, Mirai Nikki was down there, but a void with one person's still a void). It got me thinking whether the pros of the series were really enough to keep them as high as they were, but I think "Fine" would imply that you enjoyed the show to some extent, yeah? Meaning 5 would be complete mediocrity as "Average". I dropped 'em both by one, but I think I might need to go through my 6s and 7s to see if they're accurate.

And though the scores are completely arbitrary, I have to wonder whether I should base them off of how much I enjoy them or what I think of them on a more objective, critical basis. How do you guys rate shows, exactly?

I'm a rather generous rater. Usually if I watch it through, it's getting an alright rating.

10 - Yeah that was great.
9 - Yeah that was great, but there were some spots that were eh.
8 - Yeah that was great, but there were some more spots that were eh.
7 - Yeah that was great, but if they had done x differently it would have been bettter.
6 - I watched it.
5 - I watched it but didn't pay 100% attention.
4 - I guess I watched it still, but I wasn't too involved and only really payed attention to it when there was actually things going on.
3 - Please don't make me watch that again.
2 - I'm begging you, do not make me watch that again.
1 - Why did I watch this. Why did you let me watch this.

A while ago I tried revamping my score system.

I came up with five attributes that matter to me and felt would work with pretty much every show (you can't give a SoL show a score in "story", I've no idea why so many reviewers attempt to), and then came up with a rating based on those scores and my overall impression of the show.

Then I tried to make it look good but gave up halfway through.

[PokeCommunity.com] uguu?

I might abandon scores completely and start going by a well-defined A to F system, instead. Or something like that.
