Whenever you talk, have do you say "Um" or "uh" a lot?

I do whenever I'm about to give a speech that I haven't practiced for.

Whenever I'm talking to a friend, though, I hardly say it. :P

I... try not to. I had a teacher who kept talking like that, saying "eh" each TWO words, and we really wanted to murder him after an hour of class x_x

When I don't know what to say, I always end up saying "oh well". It gives me more time to think XD

I try my best not to say it sometimes, but it just comes out.
I know too much people who put 'like' as every other word.
    It gets so annoying sometimes.

I only do that when there are people who scare me in the room (or any females are present) They frighten me. I don't like girls.

    I know too much people
I know one too many people who use "much" in the place of "many."
    Just kidding bb

I say um a lot, I say like a lot, the habits of a slow thinker.

I try not to but I cat myself saying like some times

I say um and uh a lot when I'm trying to think of what I want to say and how I want to word it. Or, if I'm really nervous, I can say those too. I also say like a lot when I'm trying to explain something and I can't fully grasp it, or if I'm just generally trying to explain something and am tired or out of it. Otherwise, I don't say them that much.

In school I would be nervous for things, but I wouldn't take pauses with any um or uh in them. *shrug*

I swear I've started posts here with "Umm.."
It's just because I would've said that if I was speaking the words, so I just typed it too.

When speaking I tend to say "Uhh" and "Umm" a lot. It makes me sound stupid, I know but it's become a habit. I don't even realise I'm doing it most of the time. >_>

I talk rather slowly and with a few pauses here and there (I used to speak too quickly when I was younger and people couldn't understand me for my lack of enunciation, so I've slowed down in recent years), but I rarely use "umm" and "uhh" to fill them unless I really am thinking of what to say on the spot.

I love saying it online, because that's literally what I'm thinking, I have no idea what to type, also it's a great filler isn't it?

However when I speak I usually say it a lot.. I'm not the most intelligent person XD

I try my best not to because I hate people who say um, uh, like, etc. every other word. The only time I tend to say um a lot is when I've lost my train of thought.

I tend to use Äh and Ähm (the german equivalents to Uh and Um) a lot only when I'm either not knowing what to say or nervous. Often I am both since not knowing what to say causes nervosity, and nervosity makes me forget what I want to say.
I already had teachers who use these filler words multiple times each sentence, it was always fun to make a check list of it when (or probably more like because than when) the lesson was boring.

i try not to but if im nervous, like giving a speech or at an interview, i tend to use it a lot without noticing.

Stuttering: there's one excellent effective cure. A slap to the face.

This worked for me, and hopefully it'll work for others.

But yeah, I sometimes preface my sentences with 'uhh' online.

I don't think I do at all, actually... However I do tend to end up using the worst possible words to explain things, in speech.
