I have a question: Would it be alright to evolve a Golbat into a Crobat in a different game and trade it to my Pokemon LG? It doesnt let me evolve a Golbat into a Crobat until after I defeat the E4 and get the National Dex.

Sorry I just remembered that you can't trade it back to the game.
I wanted to do this so my Dark Pokemon would evolve but I realized that I couldn't trade them.

@sherramethyst: if you do that you can't trade Crobat back to the game because the game won't let you obtain Crobat until after you get the National Dex (when you beat the game). That's why it won't evolve normally as well

So, apparently, my last post somehow vanished. Or I forgot to actually post it. It was late, and I was tired. Anyway, we crossed Skyarrow Bridge, which never seizes to amaze me, and we arrived in Castelia City. We once again showed Team Plasma who's the boss, and then we were off to challenge Burgh. And boy, he was tough. On the third try, Swadloon actually managed to take out her advanced form, Leavanny, with Bug Bite, due to Burgh being stupid and relying on Leavanny's Sp. Attack rather than its Attack and using Bug Buzz. We then proceeded to grind a little bit on Route 4. Swadloon evolved! We then moved on to Nimbasa City, where we embarrassed ourselves and lost to N. I then picked up a Sun Stone from a man in Nimbasa City and evolved Petilil. And that pretty much shut up N. Now, I'm strolling around Desert Resort, grinding.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Bug).

Well, I decided to go ahead and continue my Bug UMC on to Black version.

Name: Archie
Starter: Oshawott

• Since the first bug type available is after the second gym, I went ahead and hacked in Hermione the Dwebble on Route 1.
• Defeated N after Ghetsis' speech, then made my way to Striaton City, where I beat Cilan easily with Fury Cutter.
• Continued on to Route 3, where I saved the random girl's Pokemon from Team Plasma, and arrived in Nancrene City.
• Trained Hermione up on the trainers outside Pinwheel Forest, then beat N again, this time narrowly.
• The gym was pretty easy. Against Lenora, Hermione set up a Rock Polish, then Fury Cutter did the rest as she survived.
• Team Plasma stole a Dragon Skull, so I went after them to Pinwheel Forest, where I caught Pendra the Venipede.
• Pendra did most of the work in Pinwheel Forest, and eventually we cleared Team Plasma out. Pendra evolved into Whirlipede too!
• Crossed the bridge to Castelia City, and after getting the Amulet Coin, I saved in the Battle Co.

Update #2 on Black.

• Took down the Battle Co., then rescued Bianca's Munna from Team Plasma.
• Burgh was taken down easily by Hermione. Rock Polish, then swept with Rock Blast.
• Went north to Route 4, where I beat Bianca and Cheren, then cleared out the Desert Resort. Pendra evolved into Scolipede!
• Arrived in Nimbasa City and beat the trainers on Route 16.
• N showed up again, and Hermione took him down. Rock Slide rocks! (pun intended)
• Taught Dig to both Hermione and Pendra and entered the gym.
• Elesa was easy - Hermione beat both Emolga with Rock Slide, then Pendra finished off Zebstrika with Dig.
• Beat Cheren again, then met Alder, and we crossed the bridge to Driftveil City. Hermione evolved into Crustle!
• Cleared out the Cold Storage, then took on the gym.
• Clay put up a fight, but Pendra was able to solo him. Bug Bite OHKOed Krokorok, Excadrill fell to Dig + Bug Bite, and Palpitoad was OHKOed by Bug Bite.
• I healed up, beat Bianca and got Fly, then saved on Route 6.

So i've started heart gold so far i've picked totodlie and caught Neil the spinarak and charlie 2nd the caterpie. grinded now have a butterfree and i've beat the bellsprout tower and the first gym...it was really hard i'd have had no chance without confusion.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Bug).

Update #3 on Black.

• Entered Chargestone Cave and caught Electro the Joltik. Started training him with the Lucky Egg.
• Defeated N at the exit, then arrived in Mistralton City.
• Used the move relearner to teach Megahorn to Pendra and Shell Smash to Hermione.
• Cruised through Route 7 and the Celestial Tower. Electro evolved into Galvantula!
• Took on the gym and beat Skyla easily with Electro's Charge Beam and Electroweb.
• Got Surf from Alder after beating Cheren, then went through Twist Mountain.
• Arrived in Iccuris City and caught Ninja the Shelmet, who immediately evolved into Accelgor (via Pokesav).
• Trained Ninja on Routes 17 and 18 as well as Mistralton Cave.
• Back in Iccirus City, I took on the gym and beat Brycen easily. Ninja beat Vannilish with Focus Blast, Hermione got Beartic with Rock Slide, and Ninja beat Cyrogonal with 3 Bug Buzzes.
• Cleared out the Dragonspiral Tower, then saved in Relic Castle.

I'll start with Fire Red where I will hack an Aron and the National Dex (so these foreign Pokemon could evolve).

Be careful with hacking in the National Pokedex. I tried doing that for my Dark UMC on LeafGreen and something weird happened when I got to Saffron. Because I had the National Pokedex the game thought I beat Giovanni in Saffron, so I couldn't fight him, but I didn't actually fight him so Team Rocket was still in Saffron, so the Rocket Grunt was still blocking the gym. I couldn't fight Sabrina, and I couldn't fight Giovanni, so I had to restart the game.
