I battled Master Greevil and won! I'm lucky I had some Hyper Potions because I only really used Scyther and Salamence. After the battle I purified Scyther and went and caught the last Shadow Pokemon, Dragonite from Mirror. B. I then purified Salamence along with all the other Pokemon. I have now finished the 5th part of my 6 part Flying Ultimate Monotype Challenge. I will start on Pokemon Black once it comes out in English.
Shadow Pokemon Captured: 83, Purified: 83.
Contining the Hoenn leg of my Flying Ultimate monochallenge.
Meteor Falls → Magma Hideout:
Spoiler:
Outside Meteor Falls, I went down to Rustboro and then went back through the tunnel to Mauville.
Went up to Mt. Chimney and found Aqua and Magma grappling with their Poochyena.
Battled Maxie for the Meteorite.
*image removed*
Cloud died, but the rest of my team was over leveled, so they handled him fine.
Went down Jagged Pass to Lavaridge, then went back to Mauville for the Acro Bike.
Battled the rest of the trainers, then challenged the gym.
*image removed*
Again, Cloud just couldn't do enough damage. Though he was able to take down one, Slugma Overheat'd him. Robin spammed Double Team and thus didn't take any damage from Camerupt or Torkoal.
Made my way back to Petalburg for the next gym battle.
Cloud was still underleveled...arrg.
*image removed*
Took a couple tries. For some reason I didn't use Protect with Mystani when he was out there facing Slaking, and when I did use it, Mystani was able to win as the last Pokemon standing (She was my highest level too).
Got Surf, taught it to Mystani, of course, forgetting the weak Water Gun.
Surfed to Slateport. Cloud was finally able to get some decent training in, and with the help of the Exp Share, he caught up to the rest of my team.
When Venom finally got to L31 on the meager offerings of experience:
*image removed*
Wow, pretty early for Crobat to appear here. I did use vitamins on her so that probably helped. It still surprised me though. Venom evolved into Crobat at L40 in Crystal.
Now I was extremely happy, and I proceeded to start ramping up Cloud to L35 so he would evolve:

After reaching Mauville, I did the New Mauville sidequest for the TM Thunderbolt, which I sold as no one could learn it
Then I took a detour to Fallarbor Town, teaching Strength to Guam for the items in Fiery Path.
In Fallarbor Town, I gave the Meteorite to Dr. Cozmo for Return, which was gleefully taught to Robin.
Went back to Mauville and started on the road to Fortree.
Caught a Tropius outside the Weather Institute named Fern. She took Scoop's place in the party, as the items I was getting from a L3 Pickup were lame, and taught her Flash, Rock Smash, and Cut. Also taught Guam Dig.
After defeating Team Aqua in the Weather Institute, I encountered May.
It wasn't much of a fight. Swept her with Wing Attack. She gave me Fly, which I taught to Altaria.
Past Fortree, got the Devon Scope from Steven and then challenged the gym.
*image removed*
Wasn't much of a fight, as my team was overleveled. Skarmory was annoying because I didn't want to use Mystani as he was a couple levels over everyone else. Dragonbreath from Cloud finally took him down, then the Altaria killed Cloud, so Robin finished it.
Continued on past Fortree and eventually made my way to Lilycove City.
After hearing the Team Aqua Grunts shout their destination (Mt. Pyre!), I went to the Dept. Store.
May was waiting for me - the final battle.
*image removed*
Crushed her. She was underleveled as usual, and I swept her with Robin's Wing Attack/Return.
After getting some vitamins, I went down to Mt. Pyre.
Scaled the inside first, then went outside.
Beat down the Aqua Grunts too late. The Red and Blue Orbs were both gone. I did get a Magma Emblem, however.
Flew to Lavaridge and went up the Jagged Path with the Acro Bike.
Found the Magma Hideout, entered it, and saved in front of the first Grunt.
Am about to destroy Team Magma's hideout and awaken Groudon.
I got through the TR hideout with little problems - Pinsir learn X-Scissor during that so now he no longer has only-fighting moves! Lance hit all the opposing Pokemon with Thunder, so that battle was rather easy. If anything the Electrodes were harder for me due to constant paralysing and Rollout against my bug-types. -_-
Pryce was relatively easy (as were the other trainers in his gym) thanks again to Heracross and Brick Break, and Pinsir's fighting-type moves. Then I headed to the Radio Tower and went along my way merely, beating up TR people left and right. My last two members finally evolved during that - Fortress was immediately more useful against any poison types thanks to the steel typing (he made Mr Five Koffing and Weezing a cinch), and a steel-type move in Mirror Shot was useful too. Venonat also evolved and got...Gust which wasn't too helpful due to the lack of a flying type but at least its Psybeam could now do some decent damage due to a much-improved special attack, and it was far faster now.
The rival wasn't too hard - Butterfree helped again with its sleep powder for the stuff I didn't have any advantage over. The other Admins were easy bar Archer who was annoying with the overlevelled Houndoom - couldn't one-hit it so some healing had to be done so I could manage to defeat it.
Trainers leading to Ice Path were easy enough, and I let my Heracross level up some more on the Pokemon that kept appearing inside. I then did some training on the trainers below Blackthorn city after teaching my spider Bug Bite via move relearner, and some phone call battles too (a level 41 Rapidash was an unexpected opponent during that but my Butterfree with some Sleep Power hax beat it all by itself). XD
The trainers in Clair's Gym were more or less straightforward - first battle I was unlucky with some critical hits but otherwise didn't have any Pokemon faint. Clari's Gyarados was taken out by Venomoth's Supersonic, Poisonpowder and Psybeam with a bit of healing in-between. Pinsir took out a Dragonair with two X-Scissors despite taking a Fire Blast. Kingda was a bit more annoying due to Hydro Pumps so I had to heal my Heracross more during that battle, as well as its Sitrus Berry, but after it ran out of PP it turned to Dragon pulse...which wasn't much worse. -_- It proceeded to faint several of my Pokemon but luckily its choice with sometimes using Hyper Beam (which failed to OHKO any of my Pokemon). One particularly annoying moment was when it critical-hit my Venomoth after it had already been healed and left with only a few HP. -_- Fortress eventually took it out though, and then took out the remaining Dragonair too despite some Dragon Pulse critical hax. -_- Mirror Shot's accuracy-lowing side-effect came in handy for the initial part of that battle, and it eventually won despite Clair using a Full Restore.
Now I've 8 gyms badges - after I go to the Dragon's Den, that is. Whee.

Level 35
More useful since getting X-scissor, certainly...
*image removed*
Level 35
Much better than Venonat although still lacking a STAB move (which should be a couple of levels away).
*image removed*
Level 36
Much more useful than Pineco - the Steel Typing and high defence has proved most useful and Mirror Shot has been great for the longer battles too.
*image removed*
Level 35
A bit of an underachiever recently, although Sucker Punch still proves useful (low PP is annoying though), so it recently learnt Bug Bite so it would be able to hit something with another decent attack.
*image removed*
Level 35
No longer quite as relied upon with the new evolutions, but still proving its worth with Brick Break.
*image removed*
Level 35
Sleep Powder and Silver Wind (and Psybeam if the situation calls/no PP left for Silver Wind) still proves to be rather useful.
Lake of Rage to Mahogany! I've already made this post once but I didn't post it… yeah, fail on me. Anyway, I'm just writing down important stuff now for my posts so yeah. Also, i'm post-poning my XD Run until after Hoenn. -defeated TR -Defeated Old Man Winters a.k.a Pryce -Obtained Glacier Badge -Waiting outside Goldenrod My Team is;

Think I've completed Hoenn challenge.
Defeated Elite Four and Steven, catched Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, and got two or three Battle Frontier symbols.
~ Lv. 65 ~ Iron Tail, Faint Attack, Psychic, Confuse Ray
~ Lv. 65 ~ Surf, Ice Beam, Waterfall, Facade
~ Lv. 66 ~ Crunch, Solarbeam, Toxic, Flamethrower
~ Lv. 66 ~ Rock Slide, Crunch, Earthquake, Dragon Claw
FINISHED the Hoenn leg of my Flying Ultimate Mono-type challenge!
Magma Hideout → Champion crown!
Spoiler:
I headed into the Magma hideout and creamed all the trainers in there. I was overleveled so it wasn't too hard.
Eventually made my way to Groudon's lair, where Maxie challenged me.
*image removed*
Hmmm. Wasn't too difficult. Don't remember much, as I did this part a couple days ago.
After Groudon flew off, I flew to Slateport and witnessed Team Aqua stealing Cpt. Stern's sub.
Surfed to Mossdeep.
At Mossdeep, I challenged the gym.
*image removed*
Wasn't too difficult. My team was a few levels above theirs, although Venom did die to a couple Psychics.
Then I went to the Space Center and cleared out Team Magma and got the Rocket Fuel back.
*image removed*
Can you say...domination?
I got Dive from Steven at his house and taught it to Guam.
Time to explore the depths of Hoenn!
After a little while, I found the Seafloor Cavern and surfaced inside.
After a few circles, I finally found the Marine Cave where Kyogre was.
Now it was time for my first (and last) battle against Team Aqua's leader, Archie.
*image removed*
Again, not too difficult. Maxie and Archie are weak, especially when underleveled.
Time for the plot to move forward!
Found Sootopolis City.
Found Wallace, talked to him about Sky Pillar.
Made my way there and awakened Rayquaza!
Cue the most epic cutscene ever!
*image removed*
Cutscene FTW!
After that was over, it was time to get back on the challenge track.
Sootopolis Gym was up.
*image removed*
Juan is easier than Wallace in Ruby/Sapphire IMO - no Milotic to deal with, and Kingdra was taken out by Cloud's Dragonbreath.
The Pokemon League was next!!!
Taught Waterfall to Guam, and tackled Victory Road.
Early this time was Wally, who came out of nowhere.
*image removed*
Good team, but not strong enough. Magneton was annoying as usual, but after a Return from Robin put a big dent in him, Cloud finished him off. Venom ended the fight after Cloud went down.
After barely surviving Victory Road (actually skipped a couple trainers to make it to the League PC, then went back), I bought some Revives and Hyper Potions, then went off to challenge the Elite Four!
...and then reset it - forgot some things!
Went to Meteor Falls and Waterfall'd up to the lower levels to search for the Dragon Claw TM, which I taught to Cloud.
Then after a visit to Slateport, I had Mystani battle wild Spinda outside for the SpA EVs and Robin and Venom battle Shuppet in Mt. Pyre for the Attack EVs. After a couple HP Ups for Cloud, my team were sporting shiny Effort Ribbons and were ready to take on the Elite Four!
First up was Sidney:
*image removed*
Cloud got Swagger/Sand-Attack haxed by Mightyena after Dragon Dancing and died without taking anyone down. That was the only real annoyance in this fight. Cacturne and Shiftry were easy pickings, as was Crawdaunt as he used Swords Dance and was 2HKOed by Return.
After a couple Revives and healing, Pheobe was next:
*image removed*
Her Dusclops with Ice Beam was a big obstacle to my team, which is all weak to Ice except for Mystani, and her SpD isn't great. That was the only real obstacle, though. Robin was able to take out her final two Pokemon and end it.
Glacia was up next - Ice types FTL:
*image removed*
Okay, so this one took several tries. Her Walrein is a force to be reckoned with and Mystani's Shock wave is not very strong - I got to Walrein a few times before fianlly breaking through. Anyway, Venom was a hero and confuse haxed her first two Pokemon, Glalie and Sealeo and 2HKOed both with Return + confuse damage to delay the set up of Hail. Venom was finally taken down with Hail damage after taking down the second Sealeo, and then after Return sacrificing Robin, Cloud finnished off the second Glalie before being taken out by Walrein. This was the key moment. Mystani was up, and the first Supersonic worked! Walrein then hurt himself a once while Mystani Shock Wave'd. Then I needed Walrein to attack with Ice Beam rather than hurting himself on the second turn, else he would have been in the red and would have been Full Restored, which meant that Mystani was screwed. Luckily, Walrein used Ice Beam, Mystani survived, then finished Walrein off with the third and final Shock Wave.
The last member of the Elite Four was up next: Drake, the Dragon trainer - not master, but trainer. He is nowhere near the caliber of Lance:
*image removed*
After taking care of Shelgon with Venom, Salamence revenged killed him. After missing with Rock Slide, Mystani Ice Beam'd Salamence and Altaria before Kingdra took him out with Dragon Dance/Body Slam. Cloud finished Kingdra with Dragon Claw, and Flygon finally took him down. Robin cleaned up with Return.
Now that the Elite Four were beaten, it was time for the Champion: Wallace!
*image removed*
This one took a couple tries as well. Ice Beam goes with Water Pokemon frequently. After Venom beat Wailord, she and Mystani were beat by Milotic. Robin was able to finish off Milotic with Return. Robin then took down Tentacruel and almost Ludicolo as well before Cloud was able to do so. Whiscash was then sent out, and after Dragon Dancing four times while Whiscash used Amnesia 3 times and Surf, Earthquake wasn't enough to kill him, so Cloud Dragon Danced twice more to max his Attack and Speed while taking two more Surfs before Earthquake took down Whiscash. After using a Hyper Potion, Gyarados, Wallace's fianl Pokemon, used Hyper Beam, and I was then able to Dragon Claw and then use Fly for the win. Fly wasn't enough to OHKO Gyrados after the Intimidate took down my Attack (trust me, Cloud tried to do that without healing, and the Hyper Beam had me pushing the reset button. What I've described here was the second round).
I was now the Champion! Confetti rained down on my team as I celebrated the end of Hoenn and my reception of a ticket to the Sinnoh region!
Also have Dish, a Lotad that knows Flash, in the box along with Scoop (Cut and Rock Smash) and Pick2, my two Zigzagoon.
********************************* Most Valuable Pokemon: Pre-Elite Four MVP: Man, this one is tough. In the end I have to go with a co-MVP award, to Venom and Robin. Venom was the sole reason that I beat Wattson, and Robin was the best finisher I had with his STAB Return. He was featured in a lot of screenshots for a reason. He was a glass cannon against the Elite Four, and he was only useful for a single Return against Glacia. But during the main campaign to get the eight badges, he was able to do a lot of damage. Venom with Confuse Ray was unstoppable, and he had the highest Attack stat on my team to go along with his insane Speed. Elite Four MVP: I have to go with Venom, even though there was no real clear-cut leader here. Venom, though, was the reason I was able to make it through against Glacia by taking down 3 of her Pokemon, and her first 2 Pokemon without them making a move, which allowed for Mystani to set up the final battle with Walrein. Venom was also really the only one who was able to contribute heavily in each Elite Four battle, with Mystani doing so as well. Confuse Ray is amazing as always. Mystani and Cloud both get special mentions here for their contributions against Drake and Wallace, too, especially Cloud for finishing strong against Wallace. Cloud didn't factor in the first two battles at all, though. LVP:None. They all were good in their own ways, and each had key roles in a few gym battles and Elite Four battles as well. Each one had strengths and weaknesses that were balanced by others on the team.
Thinking of taking an ultimate monotype challenge. Going from RBY to BW.
But I'm not going to do it according to the rules. So I guess I shouldn't be posting here xD
For full experience, I want to use cheats to catch the pokémon that I left off with with the previous game. Or at least those I want to continue with.
So say I beat R/B/Y with a lv60 Raticate. Then I start on G/S/C, cheating to get back the lv60 Raticate I left off with.
However, I would still catch a lv2/3/4 Sentret at the start =p
You get me? Well I was just stating my idea. Not trying to get myself on the list as this is considered cheating if I'm right :o
Got the 7th Badge, now taking on TG in Veilstone.
Cool! Using the Dowsing Machine, I found a hidden Razor Claw in the TG Headquarter.
Now I have Weavile before the Pokèmon League... Amazing! :)
*image removed* ~ Lv. 44 ~ Crunch, Rock Slide, Thrash, Dark Pulse
