I really don't feel like getting too extensive with this update but since the last time I updated I got all 8 badges and right now I'm grinding for the Pokemon League.

Update #2 Platinum.

Got all 8 badges now, and just beat Jack at the Pokemon League.

Zing was able to beat Steelix with Shadow Ball after Xavier was EQ'd, then 3HKOed Bastidoon with Discharge.

Soloed with Flash Cannon.

ElectroMag evolved on the way to Spear Pillar, at L54 lol.

This was actually harder than I thought. ElectroMag got 2HKOed by Raichu's Focus Blast, and Luxray Crunched Zing, so Xavier finished by 2HKOing Electivire with Return.

Once I get my movesets finalized, I will take on the Elite Four and Cynthia.

Aaron was 4 OHKO's with Flamethrower and a 2HKO w/ EQ
Bertha was awful. That Gliscor would not die. It one hit Sangria w/ EQ after taking a Dark Pulse, then OHKO'd Falu after taking a Rock Slide, then she healed, etc. Took me all my HM Revive Slaves. But, at least all her others were easy. Grass Knot worked wonders.
Flint: Infernape was the only non OHKO Pokemon. We traded EQ's, he healed while I used Gras Knot, and then I finished with an EQ.
Lucian wasn't bad. Gallade gave Sangria some problems, but I won fairly easily.
Cynthia:
Spiritomb: Dark Pulse, Thunder Fang, Dark Pulse
Milotic: Thanks to a lucky crit from Close Combat I was able to escape the pain.
Togekiss: Could have killed it, but wasn't paying attention and used Shadow Ball instead of Dark Pulse. Whoops. Revived and tried again.
Garchomp: Revive stalled. Every time he would miss with a Dragon Rush, I would hit with an EQ/Dark Pulse.
Lucario: Flamethrower went boop on him.
Roserade: same thing.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Electric).

Final Update (#3) on Platinum.

Beat the Elite Four and Cynthia to become the Champion!

Soled with Thunderbolt.

Got Magnet Rise off against Whiscash, then used all 10 Flash Cannons to sweep, with one more Magnet Rise against Rhyperior.

This was the hardest battle I had. Xavier set up Rain Dance, then beat Houndoom with Return before I switched to Zing when Infernape came out. Zing Thunderbolted Infernape, then fell to Flareon. Xavier beat Flareon and Magmortar with Return, then fell to Rapidash's Flare Blitz. ElectroMag then took a Bounce (WTF?) before Thunderbolting for the win.

Xavier took out Mr. Mime with Crunch, Bronzong with a crit Thunder, and Espeon with Crunch before falling to Alakazam's Focus Blast. Zing then OHKOed Alakazam and Gallade with Shadow Ball.

• Caught a Spheal on Rt. 103 and named him Wizard. Mild nature FTW!
• Anyway, I soloed with Wizard pretty much for the entire game until I beat Team Magma's hideout in Lilycove. Then I surfed to Shoal Cave, which was luckily stuck in low tide, so I was able to get Snorunt at L28 - it's Timid, and I named him Frosty.
• Now I gotta train Frosty up so I can finish the game by next update, probably.

I was talking about Pokemon that resisted it (Shroomish and Marril mainly) 30 STAB but x1/2 for resistance.

Did some training, got Electrike, backtracked for Brawly, etc.

Anyway, after some intense training Mah Lady finally evolved and Derp finally learned earthquake. So I then made my way down lilycove and battled Brendan (Easy Win). I Recieved the Orb and then cleared out the hideout. I got to mossdeep and Beat the gym there (Surf + crunch + lots of critical hits). Thats all

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Ice).

Finished Sapphire.

• After beating the trainers on Mt. Pyre, I headed to the Mossdeep gym.
• Beat Tate and Liza easily with Surf and Crunch taking them both out in one turn.
• After beating the Seafloor Cavern and wiping the floor with Archie, I beat Groudon as well.
• Beat Wallace pretty easily, although Wizard had to finish off Milotic.
• Went though Victory Road pretty much exclusively with Frosty, and soloed Wally with him as well.
• Used Rare Candies to bring both Frosty and Wizard to L60, and taught Wizard Earthquake and Ice Beam.
• Swept through the Elite Four and Steven to become the Champion!

Sidney and Glacia were soloed by Frosty and Wizard. Phoebe was almost soloed by Frosty, who fell to the final Dusclops, and Drake was almost soloed by Wizard but missed twice with Ice Beam against Salamence (Sand-Attack, arg), so the other guy beat the final pokemon.

I eventually beat my Psychic HG/SS challenge, but as I didn't document past like, Girafarig, it'd be better just to remove me from the challenger section. XD

If I do a Bug Unova run, am I able to trade in (or in the ROM's case, hack in by simply changing the species of the first pokemon I encounter) a bug type? (Sewaddle or Venipede in my case, not something like Larvesta :P) Or should I just use my starter until after the 2nd gym? Cause that's about 20 levels of not using my type... which seems like a lot. (Well, with only my starter, make that about 30 levels) (It'd be for the Ultimate challenge, as I already have the other 4 done as a bug user, and in the champion listing for bug type ultimate challenge, XD)

And on that note, would I be able to Pokesav evolve Karrablast? I wouldn't alter anything but species, and when it levels once after you change it, the stats would level up to normal standards for the evolution (before it levels, it'd be at the stats it had pre-evolution, thus, weaker than an actual evolution), and then it's perfectly the same as a normal evolution.

Just something I'm curious about. The challenge wouldn't start until I get the actual game though, as I want to play through that before I spoil myself past a 4th gym with a rom. :P

Update #2 on Sapphire.

• Went through Slateport to Mauville, beating May on the way. Puncher evolved into Breloom.
• Beat Wattson pretty easily, then headed north after teaching Rock Smash to Zigzagoon.
• Up past Fallarbor Town, I caught Pineapple the Quiet Lombre.
• Trained her up and beat Archie.
• Beat Flannery with some major luck, then made my way to Petalburg.
• Beat Norman pretty easily, then Surfed on Pineapple to Slateport and went up to Mauville.
• Did the New Mauville quest, where SpeedRacer evolved into Sceptile then surfed east to Rt. 119, where I caught Tropius (HM Slave).
• Saved on Rt 119.
