Imagine there's a small hole in a piece of clothing you really like. What do you do about it? Do you leave it until it gets bigger, or perhaps you try sewing it yourself? You might even ask someone else to sew it, or just throw it out completely and buy more.

Umm I tend to forget about the holes and I really should try sewing them but really, I just sort of stop wearing the clothes and then just wear my other ones. XD; Actually now I do really want to start sewing... :(

I usually sew it up myself...makes it feel personalized and unique. ^_^

    What's funny is that I'm still steaming about my Abercrombie shirt I ripped after I speared myself on a fence. ;;

If I tried to sew it, I'd end up sewing my skin, so I make my mom fix it for me. Usually works out.

I rarely have any holes in my clothes. If it's in pants, I usually don't care cause it's always at the knee for whatever reason. And I don't mind that. Makes me feel grungy. I've had pants that had tiny tears on the back before, but at the time, we didn't have a lot of money, so I didn't know what I could do about it. :/ I tried to just wear shirts that were long enough to cover it. I still do that. No one can see my butt.

I would leave or maybe ask my mother to sew them for me.

My favourite jeans got holes in both of the knees. They didn't look too bad so I just left them. Then my dog managed to rip one of the holes further. So I cut the legs of the jeans, at the holes, and made shorts. It was useful with summer coming around. ;o

I actually rarely have this problem, my clothes don't get ripped very often. Which is good, because they're kind of expensive, so I can forget about replacing them. When any of my clothes do get ripped, I usually just stop wearing them to school and just wear them at home, when I go shopping and stuff, or pretty much anywhere I don't have to look nice. Except, of course, when the rip isn't anywhere where you could see it.

Now, buttons falling off of my shirts is a completely different story, because it happens ALL THE TIME. D: I always sew them back on, but I do a terrible job, and they fall off again.

I give it a go at sewing it myself, which usually turns out bad. And later on I ask my mum to sew it for me.

Sometimes I just leave it alone. It looks cool.

I get my mum to sew it back together, otherwise i sew myself to the jeans, or whatever.

Considering a large amount of jeans these days come ripped, I wouldn't be too concerned if I ripped mine. Personally, I don't own a pair of pre-ripped jeans (it's pointless, and they are uber expensive for some reason). If I do ever accidentally rip my jeans, I'd either get my boyfriend's mom to fix them for me, or just leave it. Nbd.

It's not a problem that I encounter too much, though I'm OCD about holes in my socks... if my socks develop a hole, I can't wear them anymore.

I'll usually ignore mall holes elsewhere until they do get big enough to be noticed...

Depends on where the hole is. I can sew quite well (I make costumes) soo.. it's pretty easy for me to fix something..

But if it's something ripped big.. or like.. on the sleeve of a hoodie for example.. and I really liked the shirt/ hoodie.. I tend to hand-stitch it and make different patterns with the thread I'm using for it to look more "distressed" and part of the actual garment than it being a rip. Sometimes I'll embroider stitches elsewhere on it so that it matches and looks more like a statement :333

It depends on where it was ripped actually but I still wear them ripped regardless untill my mom gets on my case. If it has holes that makes it holy right...I'm blessed xD

I tend to go ahead and sew my pants whenever they get any little rips unless I feel rather lazy. A lot of my clothes are rather old, so I sew them up oftenish if it happens to be a piece that I'm really fond of. I personally never understood why people liked the idea of ripped clothes, or why one would buy anything like that, seems ridiculous to me.

Depends if its noticeable Ill get my mum to sew it and wear the clothes at home. If its not visible or very small I will probably leave it...and wear it at home. I dunno makes me feel...cheap(?) wearing ripped clothes outside.

If it's just a small tear, I'll just leave it. If it gets bigger, I'll get someone to sew it up xD

As far as I can remember I've only ever had holes in one pair of jeans and they were (and still are) really comfortable so I kept wearing them at times when it didn't matter how I looked. The knees are so gone now I could probably put each of my legs through them. I won't throw them out until they completely fall apart.

I can do very, very basic sewing, so if there's a really small hole that just needs to be fixed up, I can usually manage it. But if it's something that would be really noticeable that I was not very good at fixing it ripped it, I'll usually let my mom take care of it or stop wearing the garment.

...or I set it aside in my closet until I forget that it has a hole until someone points it out to me again the next time I wear it, orz. D: That happened to me yesterday with my shirt, lmao.
