Unwanted Awakenings

Well, I'm posting this cause it seems my neighbors decided to have a hay-day and be as loud as possible. From what I can recall, it seems all the screaming was issued in a violent manner, so from what I'm figuring to be the obvious, they were arguing.

In all honesty, that didn't bother me... however, one of the neighbor's friends showed up outside the apartments screaming and smacking his hand on all the windows. Now that... that was the last straw, and in a fit of frustration, I got out of bed, went upstairs, and slammed my boot (foot) into their door. Everything is quiet now, but in all honesty, I can't fall back asleep.

Anyone else been through waking up unwillingly?

I'll tell you, although they're always noisy, I've learned to drown it out or ignore it, but when someone beats on my window, then it means war.

i'm 15 & 11 years older than two of my siblings and they just so happened to sleep like five metres away from me as my parents lived on the exact opposite side of the house
the cries of babies in the night are much fresher to my mind than they have any right to be

I usually get waken up because I have to go to the restroom bad lol

sometimes when i close my door and my cats sleeping on my bed, she gets up and tries to open the door (which she can do if the knob is low enough) which makes many sounds. now i just have to leave my door open a crack so she can grab it and leave if she wants to leave.

My step father's loud yelling wakes me up each day ;_; hes so loud and he doesn't realize it at all, it's really intimidating.

You can just rename this thread "Jaehaerys's LIFE Every Night". I never sleep through the night, almost every little thing wakes me. Some key anecdotes I can think of over the last few years:

    1. My first lil studio apartment in the city was super OLD and "vintage" aka it had floors that creaked with every step. The person who lived above us seemed to come home every. single. night. between 11:30pm and 3:30am with their heels on. They proceeded to walk around in said heels while they presumably did stuff like dishes and cleaning, whatever. It was so loud I had to buy earplugs - otherwise I would have gone mad.

    2. Same apartment but the dude next door to us must have pissed off his girlfriend bc she locked him out after 12am. He was SUPER drunk & came back screaming his lungs out and banging on the door over and over over yelling about how she needs to open the door (while calling her every vile name in the book) or he'll kill her. It was Quite The Ordeal. Called the cops and everything. That went on till 2am. This was on a Sunday & I was bedridden and sleep deprived over the flu.

    3. My beautiful, peaceful new apartment is great. However, my cat went through this INTENSE phase of needing to chew on our blinds around 4am-5am. He would jump on my face so he could climb up to the blinds and then chew. He did this for months until they moved out. Bah, I miss that guy.

    4. Mostly I just wake up randomly through the night several times a night anyway.

    Can't really sleep ever.

On days I need to get up, I sleep until the alarm. On days that I don't need to get up, I end up getting up earlier than I normally do. This is when I'm away from home.

At home my dad just comes into my room and tickles my feet until I wake up. There was this one time that he found a glasses case and just opened and closed it in front of my face repeatedly until I woke up. I asked him why he did that and he was like "oops I woke you up. You should get up, but I was playing with this glasses case because it was fun". It's really funny. He's a really cool dad.

I sleep during the day. Every literal day wakes my ass up unwillingly. I used to have pain pills that would knock me out for half a day, then I ran out. (And if the other people in the house don't wake me, it's back pain that usually does it, now that I don't have mah pills.)
