I ain't complaining, but I can imagine how the constant food talk might be irritating to some. :P

Only if we start talking about disgusting food, methinks. Stuff like fish. Or sprouts. We do need another food topic though!

I remember we've had threads about specific types of food, such as pizza and ice cream... But since I'm too lazy to make a new thread, what is everyone's favorite type of doughnuts, and preferred place to buy them? This totally isn't because I work at a doughnut shop or anything.

I like the plain, dinky, hot ones you can buy from random vendors in towns in packs of ten or twelve for a couple of quid...or in the local supermarket, altough they're generally not warm, which immediately robs them of at least 80% of their appeal. xD

I've tried Dunkin Donuts when in America, Tim Hortons when in Canada and then we have Krispy Kreme over here. All of them are so good, but it's hard to single them out since they all taste pretty much the same!

I'm just kind of sad that my stomach's not feeling the best at the moment, or else all this food talk would be really appealing. :(

(Although come to think of it, might be feeling that way because I'm actually hungry, but...I don't want to test that right now.)
Oh god, it's horrible when the line between hunger and nausea is blurred >.<
I usually err on the side of caution in those instances and don't eat anything either...although the downside to that is that when you are definitely hungry it hurts like hell because you've not eaten for so long. A lot of people recommend plain savoury snacks, but I find those make me feel even worse ._.

I've just had Mcdonalds for breakfast.. again. It did have salad in it though, so I consider that to be somewhat healthy.

Salad with McDonalds? I wonder how much salad you'd need to eat to compensate the other food. So much salad.

I once had food poisoning from a microwave dumpling meal. I had misread the date and it was 2 months out. I don't mind eating out of date food particularly, but this put me off microwave meals for life. Ergh the stuff that came out of my stomach

If they made a food or weather thread or subform, everyone would have to pretend their lives were way more interesting :(

I don't think I have the imagination required to do that =/

And here am I, having no clue on whatever you're talking about because the only thing I know of programming languages is the little bit of Python I've learned to use on numerical simulations of physical problems.

Thing is, I have zero. The most my studies require is exactly that, numerical simulations. And since I expect most of my time on the thesis to be stuck in an optics lab messing with fibers, lenses, lasers and/or maybe crystals and taking measurements...

Out of curiousity, what are you going in for? It sounds like it'd take from the line of schooling I'm in to do some of that.

I'm taking a Master's in Engineering Physics.
(Or is it Physical Engineering? The faculty uses both translations, blegh)
