Voice acting yes or no.

Not expecting it. Not really a game-changer either, and I definitely don't want voice acting at the expense of the game's performance and stability. Some of the cutscenes with silent lip-flaps look awkward, but on the other hand I don't want terrible-sounding characters like in the anime.

NO would be cringe

If the Detective Piakchu games can have voice acting for cutscenes, so can a core series game like Legends Z-A. I don't expect the full game to contain voice acting, but least the cutscenes. I agree with some of you and think they may wait until gen 10 to do full-on voice acting.

[PokeCommunity.com] Voice acting yes or no.

Do you think they can get voice acting in legends 2? If they do, they should recruit voice actors from the anime. It's subjective, but it'll make you feel like your playing an episode from a legends style anime. Some people don't want anime voice overs of they're dub quality however. Would you think legends 2 would benefit if they added voice acting or is forever muted text boxes the way they should stay.
I doubt they are gonna actually do this. It will be really cool to have as an optional feature though. I would love to hear some of these characters voices

I accidentally would turn up the volume on my Switch because I was expecting voice acting in the cutscenes (at least) during my Scarlet run. At that point in time, I was playing it alongside Xenoblade Chronicles so it was very jarring going from the entire story of a game being voice acted to literally nothing (not even grunts, gasps, or anything...). I think characters should definitely be voice acted, I don't mind the Pokemon cries remaining.

I'll turn it around - if they don't do voice acting, that's fine - but they can't then have cutscenes showing people talking, or singing a song, with no voice acting or vocals used at all. It does not work! It looks silly and not in an endearing way.

Considering that they put in vocals in gen 5 (Ghestis, and also Roxie's gym - hey, a Gym Leader who plays in a band, how about that...)... this is weird.

[...] Pokemon is not that intricate with their plots and it would be awkward with a player character who is iconic for not speaking.

Pokemon would have to change the entire formula to enter the Kingdom Hearts territory with developed, in-depth plots and fleshed out cutscenes that have more substance than just leading up to important battles[...]
Agreed. If I'm just mashing A to get to the battle anyway, I wouldn't care about there being voice acting or not. But as some people here already said, it could be nice for certain important, story-heavy cutscenes. I can think of a few examples in Sun & Moon where voice acting could have benefited the game, especially with the villain - imagine the chills. I don't really care that much about it though, it's nice if they do add it, but I won't be upset if they don't (which is more likely because Nintendo).
