No major preference between Tangrowth and Carnivine. Might be tough to squeeze in all these spring and summer discounted Pokemon. Goes along with raising Roserade for now. Reassesses the situation after that. Worst case scenario: a few more posts for some mono-grass type.

Will post in the Obtain thread shortly.

1. Affects the seasonal discount. Lowers the required posts by 15. Discounts things like Ice types in December, January, and February for the Northern Hemisphere and Fire types for the Southern Hemisphere. Check the Seasonal tab of the Rules thread for the full list. (Discounts every type throughout the year.)

2. Treats it as a legendary. Must wait ten Pokemon between legendaries to raise another legendary. (May raise your first legendary as soon as you meet the requirements.) Per the rules thread:

Urshifu (Single Strike) ~ 2 Fighting, 1 Dark
Urshifu (Rapid Strike) ~ 2 Fighting, 1 Water

So, two Fighting types regardless. Requires a Dark or Water type, depending on which style you want.

Oh, right. Allows users to raise Gigantamax Pokemon. Costs a lot of points to buy the Gigatamax Band (1200 points) to be able to Gigantamax anything and a Gigantamax Candy (500 points) per Pokemon you wish to Gigantamax. Still needs all the standard legendary stuff for Gigantamax Urshifu as well.

So in this case, if I want both variants of Urshifu, then I need to summon Kubfu two times, or is it limited to one per account since Kubfu was introduced via DLC ?

Does not need to summon Kubfu first. Trains up Kubfu and evolves it as part of raising an Urshifu, similar to going from Impidimp to Grimmsnarl. Would give you a stat block like this:

Kubfu @ 0
Hatch: 15
Urshifu (Single Strike) @ Level 100: 240
Shiny: Yes
Points: 180

(Writes "Hatch" for all Pokemon, despite many not being able to be found in eggs.) Could raise a Kubfu on its own, if you want. Requires 3 Fighting for that. Takes the same number of posts to raise as the above Urshifu.

May summon multiple Urshifus, or just about any Pokemon, for that matter. Could raise fifteen Mews, if so inclined. (Actually needs Mew to complete two different challenges. Cannot do that with just one Mew.)
 
Since I am nearing 10 completed VPPs and will reach there after few weeks, hence I wanted to know regarding Master Pokemon, which I saw in main thread. May I know what it is, and is it different from summoning Legendary Pokemon after 10 VPPs ?

Basically earns a free standard* VPP, with no post requirement, for every 10 VPPs you obtain. Counts VPPs from any source, whether from posting or rewards from challenges/events, towards the 10 Pokemon between Masters. (The one exception: the Master Pokemon itself.)

*Standard: Anything not a legendary, Mega, Gigantamax, Alpha, Noble, Tera, Pair, or Trio. May request other Pokemon that require items, such as one of the Alcremie forms, provided you use the item for it.

Finished one-half of the Alpha Roserade. Appears to be done for you too.

Do you want to do Alpha Tangrowth or Carnivine next? Or go with a different option?

It's kind of a coin flip between those two for me. I think Carnivine might edge out Tangrowth ever so slightly if you're okay with raising that.

1. Completing Runerigus will mark completion of 10 Pokemon, which includes a gifted Nidoran. So will Master Pokemon be eligible, and what difference will it bear from normal obtainable Pokemon ?

2. And since there is rule for getting a Legendary Pokemon after 10 are done, hence will I get both Master and Legendary Pokemon simultaneously ?

3. And there's some note written about Master Pokemon that first one is free or something like related to it; can I get simpler elaboration of it ?

1. Yes. Does not care how you obtained the 10 Pokemon. Counts Pokemon from events, challenge rewards, and other sources towards the Master (and legendary) count.

Bears no special mark or identifier. May wish to note that in your stats, though. Makes it easier to identify later how many more Pokemon until your next Master.

2. Yes. Could get a Legendary and a Master at the same time.

3. Get 10 Pokemon (through posts, challenge rewards, event awards, whatever). Claim your first Master Pokemon. Raise 10 more Pokemon (through posts, challenges rewards, event awards, and so on). Get a second Master Pokemon. Repeat. Considers all of them as free as the first.

Oh, and to summon a legendary, look through the list of legendaries in the rules thread. Note the type requirements of the one you want. Then, when requesting the legendary, say what Pokemon you will be using to fulfill those requirements. Must use 3 Pokemon to summon.

Maybe because Scorpions are found in hot and arid conditions ? And since climate here is hot, we can also witness scorpions with relative ease...

Fair, but not Drapion, for the most part. Shows up in:
  • Route 8
  • Bridge Field
  • Lake of Outrage
  • Motostoke Riverbank
  • Soothing Wetlands
  • Challenge Beach
  • Training Lowlands

Does not improve in other games either: Safari Game / Great Marsh in Sinnoh and Ultra Space Wilds (Forest) in Ultra Sun/Moon. Sounds like a Pokemon found in temperate and damp areas.

Agree.

Even Skorupi's Dex entry says that it burrows under the sand to lie in wait for prey.

And oddly, Skorupi is also found in wetlands or marsh. The closest to sandy terrain seems Reversal Mountain, where Skorupi could be found in B2/W2.
 
I was wondering, for the PokeDex color challenges like 'Blue Batallion' etc., does a shiny still count as the color of the original ?
Like I've been asking for a bunch of blue Pokemon, like Seal and Sealeo for this challenge, but their shinies are purple. I'm gonna need to double check if they're shiny if that makes them not count.

The list of Pokemon by PokeDex color does not take shinies into account though, so I'm hoping they just still count for the Pokemon's regular coloring ? =P

Treats shinies as the same color as the original, for the purposes of the challenge. Leads to way more headaches otherwise. Like, is shiny Orbeetle Blue or Purple?
