  • Khufu sighed as the three spies turned to leave for Jubilife City. He couldn't tell if they were reluctant to do so, but he didn't care. His job wasn't to read people's minds, it was as the General of PokeRebel. He turned to leave himself and let his mind wander.

    ***

A crack of thunder pierced the air, and the rain sunk into Khufu's fur, dripping off and into the grass. Khufu never had been a fan of rain, being a Fire-type, but this time, the rain seemed to carry a message of loneliness, spelled out in each raindrop. Squinting to keep his eyes dry of rain, Khufu's only goal was to put as much distance between him and his former master as possible.

Glancing down at his neck, Khufu saw the dim shine of his ID tag, muted by the dark clouds, late hour, and poor condition. But even in the darkness, the words binding him to his master were still discernible:

    Khufu Sphynx
    Belongs to C.J. Sphynx
    10 Route 212
    If found, return to owner

Khufu looked up, seeing a tree off to the left. He changed his course for it, feet splashing in the soaked grass. When he brushed against the rough tree bark, he began chipping the collar off his neck against the tree. The sides were rough enough to make some progress, but it wasn't much. Groaning in exasperation, Khufu leaned his body against the tree to rest.

"Hey! What's going on here? It's a storm, what are you doing out here?"

Khufu saw a Graveler looking down at him with concerned eyes. To Khufu, it seemed the Graveler was actually concerned about his well-being. That meeting would reshape Khufu's thoughts of the world, and even after Magnus was killed, Khufu would always remember him, and the encounter, vividly.

    ***

Ever since then, Khufu had been able to keep his old identity of Sphynx hidden, but always had feared it would be discovered. Nobody, as far as he knew, was aware of it. But there was still room for fear.

Returning to the present, Khufu asked Silence, slightly softer now, "So what's up? You enjoying the war?"

  • Silence Quickslash
    Outside the Conference Room

As they entered the base and walked to the Conference Room, Khufu asked Silence, "So what's up? Are you enjoying the war?"

She flicked her cold, red eyes to the Flareon. "I might be. It gives me something to do at least. Of course, I do enjoy getting revenge," she replied, her eyes hardening even more at the last few words. She hadn't forgotten about her mother's death or Lilac abandoning her and the recent encounter with her former friend hadn't exactly helped matters. "What about you, general? Are you enjoying the war?"

Silence truthfully was curious about what his answer would be. She was a master at playing off of others emotions, so she hoped that, despite what his answer might be, she would be able to tell whether or not it was true from his voice or anything else that might give away how he really felt. Though she probably wouldn't tell the commander even if she did suspect that Khufu was starting to soften towards humans, she was one of those types who liked to get all the information they could. You never knew when it might come in handy. Besides, Silence felt it was important to know as much about those leading you as possible.

  • Slightly intimidated by Silence's vengeful red eyes, Khufu laughed nervously and replied, "Of course... I'm still alive. I'm not one for killing, but to me, a war is a test of survival."

Khufu entered the conference room a few steps ahead of the others. He inhaled deeply and, seeing Hector and several others already in the room, remarked, "So the meeting is on. I think we need to strike soon, but where? Sandgem Town?"

Khufu scratched his head impatiently. He hated these war meetings, since they were long and slow, and rarely worth the time they took. He sat down at the table and tried to picture the Sinnoh region in his mind's eye, attempting to see any weak points in the human defences.

Alex jogged towards General Krista, looking at him. The General stook out his hand and said,
" Good afternoon, i am to assume you are Corporal Bryant."
    " Yes Sir," Alex responded.
" Thanks Corporal for bringing Commander Spark out alive. Your actions have greatly benefitted the Human Republic's struggle against the PokeRebels," General Krista announced.
    " No problem," Alex shrugged.
" Listen, it was nice talking to you but I have other matters to attend. Nice meeting you and thanks," General Krista said. Alex saluted the General, then proceeded to walk towards the Hospital, once again waiting for Cheryl to finish her shift. Alex sat patiently, until he saw the nurse walk out of the Hospital.
" Alex! follow me," Cheryl shouted.
" Sure," Alex replied. Alex followed Cheryl to a apartment building.
" Here is my place, 2nd floor room 204," Cheryl stated as she handed Alex a key.
" Go inside and make yourself at home. I will be back shortly after I deal with a patient," Cheryl announced as she walked away. Alex walked in to the Apartment and over to the elevator. Alex pressed the call button and waited for the elevator, noticing some kids eyeballing his M4 Carbine.

    HR barracks

Mark was walking back toward Canalave, when someone bumped into him. mark felt his pocket, now empty. "F**K you, give me back my cash" Mark spun around and reached for his pistol, which was missing. "Bi*ch!" Mark started running after the mysterious man. Mark pulled out his knife. Vargas was closing in on the man now, he raised his knife and lunged towards the man. The thief tumbled to the ground along with Mark who stabbed the man in the stomach. "Should have thought about who you stole from, hmm." Mark removed the knife and took his pistol and left the man with half the money, for his troubles, and medical bill.

Mark was now headed for sunyshore, mine as well join the Republic, fight for what he lost. A pickup drove by and mark waved it down. The driver was a woman, probably about 30. Mark climbed into the passengers seat and it lurched awkwardly forward. "So... whats your name?" "Im Rachel, who are you." "I'm Mark Vargas, just got out of Canalave, doing the hero thing, you know, escorting survivors. I'm going to join the HR now. where are you heading?" Mark said quickly. "You really saved other peoples lives instead of running? You ether more brave or more crazy than me." "Thanks, i think." "Anyways, i was going to sunyshore, i imagine you were... are going there too." Rachel replied.

The truck stopped next to the HR base, mark turned around. "Thanks for the ride, I got 200, your going to need it more than i will." Mark handed here 150, there might be a signup fee or something. Rachel drove away, and mark walked into the base, and over to registration.

  • Ali Krista
    Oreburgh Hospital

Ali smiled at the Alex boy, and for the first time since his appointment as General, he felt pride for the HR. Finally, someone with good initiative. Maybe this war won't be a complete blow out. Still, a lot of work had to be done, and the Commander was unable to lead. Ali sighed as he came to the realisation of what was on his shoulders. He won't be able to go to Sunyshore to see his family. Not when there was work to be done here.

"Vargas, this is General Krista," Ali spoke into his radio. "I am afraid I won't be able to make it to Sunyshore, there is much work to be done here. In fact, I strongly advise that you stay near, and use the vast resources we have in Oreburgh. Going to Sunyshore seems redundant to me."

Ali didn't even wait for a reply. Althalos had come near and had appeared as if he wanted to speak to him, so Ali placed the receiver in its holster before searching for the young soldier.

"Ah, Althalos," Ali said with a pained smile as he saw the boy sitting on a bench nearby. "What can I help you with?"

"Vargas, this is General Krista," Mark umped at the loud noise in his ear. "I am afraid I won't be able to make it to Sunyshore, there is much work to be done here. In fact, I strongly advise that you stay near, and use the vast resources we have in Oreburgh. Going to Sunyshore seems redundant to me." "aww, i was having a good sleep too" Mark mumbled to himself as he picked up the walkie. "What i'm getting is one of a kind, If you need anything i can pick it up while im there though. Radio me if something happens, and i think you know what i mean, something big, like a battle, ill be back as quick as i can. Vargas out." Mark yawned and got out of the bed, remade it and headed to the kitchen. Mark walked into the mess hall, saw what they were serving, and decided against eating there, there had to be a convince store on the way there. Mark went back to his bunk and grabbed his things and headed for the door. The F1 made a beep when Mark unlocked it via remote and Mark clambered in. There was a loud noise which sounded like thunder when mark turned the key. "I always miss that noise, its wonderful." mark said to himself as he pulled out of the parking lot. Mark noticed a new switch on the dash, he flipped it up and the roof folded back into the trunk. Mark saw the general talking with althalos up ahead, he flew by, shouting a quick "Bye" as he passed the two soldiers. Mark sped onto route 206, drifting onto 207. He floored it up the route, wanting to get to sunyshore ASAP. The Mclaren F1 made a pitstop in hearthome city at a gas station. Mark got up out of his car and went into the store. He went over to the snack isle and got 3 bags of potato chips and carried them up to the counter. "These, and $30 on pump four please." The clerk panicked, mark look down at his leg to see his pistol was still holstered. "I'm not robbing you, im a soldier!" "Ohh, nice try, ive heard that one before, i already called the cops, and locked the door." "First Lieutenant Mark Vargas, I... Have ID" Mark pulled out his dogtags and showed them to the cashier. "I still don't believe you, anyways the police are here!" "UGH! Just my luck."

"Ah, Althalos," The general almost seemed sad. "What can I help you with?" Althalos stood up and walked up to the older boy. "I am bored out of my mind," he sighed. "I would rather not think about what happened in Jubilife, so is there anything that I can do to keep my mind off of it?" He asked, anxious to do something. "Maybe, um, help with building defenses, or going on a recon mission some where?" he started sheathing and unsheathing the hidden blade, his new found nervous tick. Althalos quickly looked around, an din his anxious state, noticed a few things that he normally would have ignored; a wall had started to crumble from disrepair, a few small children hiding in an alley way and multiple miners coming out of and entering the nearby mines. Althalos brought his attention back to Ali, because although it had been a matter of seconds, it felt like he had been focusing on those small things for hours.

    Hector Arcturus
    Jubilife City
    PR Base, Hector's Office

Hector saw Rumble salute, and then leave. This new information was important, and Hector couldn't wait to share it with everyone. Finally, a plan could be set in motion where the PR could potentially invade their next city of attack without as many casualties, as was with Jubilife. Pokemon, many of them, have paid for their victory in Jubilife with their blood. Hector would honor that, and make sure their next victory would be even greater, and with less casualties. He sighed and got up, heading to the conference room.

There he saw Pokemon gathering, most he was familiar with, including Wade, Lydia, General Khufu, and Silence. He walked over to the center of the room, around where the giant table was, and began pacing, as he spoke in a loud, confident voice.

"Good to see mostly everyone here. This war meeting is primarily about the tactic about which we will employ in our next attack toward Oreburgh. The attack's initial strategy was a frontal assault, but it doesn't stand well with me that a victory could be gained at the price of such casualties. I hope to avoid that in this next conflict. Anyways, a recent development into our strategy will be explained now by this Pokemon." Hector pointed to Rumble.

"He has some information you might all wanna hear about what he has cocked up in Oreburgh."

Hector stopped his pacing and looked at Rumble, who was now going to speak. Oreburgh would fall, just as Jubilife did. But under Hector's planning, along with other's thoughts and strategies implemented as well, many more Pokemon would be breathing by the end of it.

    Rumble
    Jubilife City
    PR
    Conference Room

Rumble left Lydia and went to the upper right corner of the room, as the Commander spoke.

Anyways, a recent development into our strategy will be explained now by this Pokemon." The Commander pointed at Rumble.

"He has some information you might all wanna hear about what he has cocked up in Oreburgh."

Rumble levitated forward with his usual slow pacing. He stood in the middle of the room where all Pokemon could see him, next to the giant temple.

"My name is Rumble.. So, as we all know, Oreburgh, like every other human city has sewers. The entrance to the sewers of Oreburgh city is just outside the town. I happen to have a... laboratory in these sewers, right under their armory." He paused, hearing some Pokemon mumble and noticing how many of them were looking at the human weapons he was carrying.

"I know how to get in, and out of there. And... before I left that place, I planted a Transmittor, which lets me know what exactly is going on there with this remote right here." He pulled the remote -he took a while ago from his base- from his armor, inside his body and raised his arm so everybody could see it. It was a plain remote with a small screen on top of it.
Some of the Pokemon seemed shocked, but he couldn't tell as he was fully concentrated to his speech.

"We will be able to get our troops inside the city safely from the entrance of the sewers. But there are two exits, one next to the armory and one in the north part of the town. It's up to the Commander what we will do." Rumble had almost finished speaking.

"Oh and one more thing. The humans have upgraded their city defense, as they seemed to predict our assault."
His words caused somewhat a fuss. Rumble simply waited with his eyes closed for it to end.
"I was able to get word for these defense systems by infiltrating the human communication channels. That's all I could find: an electric fence around the town, which will prevent our troops from getting in the usual way. And, the cowardly humans developed an escape plan, to Mt. Coronet."
Rumble wasn't sure what impression his words caused, he looked around blinking his eyes. All this was slowly changing his personality, as he wasn't used to be with so many Pokemon or be in their side, at least.
I'm glad I could help my Pokemon friends ..

(OOC: Sorry for not having my post earlier. I got back from a trip last night at 11, and when I typed up my post Firefox shut off on accident.

    EDIT: Twice...)

The pokemon we're following her now, each of them appearing to have something on their minds. Silence was obviously suspicious of her, as she had every right to be. However, Wade looked even more discomforted, possibly disappointed in himself for sleeping on the job. Lydia tried not to let the guilt take her over, but it was hard when her partner looked to be in such a gloomy mood. It wasn't his fault they had escaped- it was hers. All hers. She was a traitor. And it pained her heart to know it.

They were now back at the base. Pokemon were scattered everywhere, obviously rushing for something Lydia wasn't aware about. The Zorua was just following her general, which was in conversation with Silence. She thought about eavesdropping, but decided against it. After a few moments, Khufu had went into the conference room. Staring at the door, she was set back by a poke on the arm. Her ears perked up slightly, and she turned to find Rumble smiling at her.

"Lydia, are you okay?" he asked her, winking. But before she could reply, a surge of psychic energy ran through her, bonding them with telepathy.

"I saw what you did...If you need anything, the key to my apartment is under the mat at the entrance".

By then, everything had cleared up. The sudden surge of power must have been from him. The question was, why? Why was he helping her? Why was he still helping her? The Reuniclus had some sort off power over her, and Lydia felt a small inch of fear inside her. She would have to change that.

    "Who's your friend?" Rumble asked.

"Oh. That's Wade, my partner. He is also a spy. A very good one," she answered, wearing the same fake smile as the Reuniclus did. Before engaging in conversation, the pokemon had left, heading into the conference room. The Zorua looked to her partner.

"Looks like another war is in preparation. We better listen," her voice was warm, almost playful. She ran into the room as if expecting the umbreon to chase after her. Once inside, she was surrounded by other PR members who wished to listen to their commander. Lydia cleared her senses, ready to listen to Hector. However, it appeared he wasn't talking; Rumble was giving a speech now. She was both shocked, then again not- the pokemon surely knew how to get his voice around, and as she listened more, was obviously smarter than she thought.

    "Too smart..."

The first thing the young boy felt was cold. Ice cold. Slowly the boy opened his eyes, and immediately picked up the ice pack on his forehead and chucked it away. He didn't know the reason. All he felt was fear. True fear of the ice. He got up in his bed, and saw a young girl pick up the pack.

"So, you're finally awake, huh?" the girl smiled at him.

The boy breathed hard. Despite the ice being on his head, he was sweating. He was certainly afraid of the cold. Definately.

"Where am I?" the boy moaned.

"don't you know, commander? You're in Oreburgh. We lost Jubilife...." the girl looked down, her face showing pain.

Oreburgh? Lost.....Jubilife? Most of all, Commander? What was the girl talking about? Just as he was about to bombard the girl with a million questions, a man walked in, and looked the boy's face in shock.

"You're awake?! Thank God!" he exclaimed.

"Who are you?" the boy asked.

"Huh? You don't remember me? I'm the one who fixed
Your arm right there," he pointed at the boy's arm.

The boy gave him a confused look, and pulled his arm from underneath the covers. He was shocked to see not a normal human arm, but a robotic arm in it's place. He tried pulling it off, but it wouldn't budge. His tension level was rising superbly, first the weird girl, next this arm.

"Y-you guys are freaks!" he yelled at the two people, jumped out of bed, and ran out of the room. The man tried to stop him, and failed.

The boy raced down corridors, jumped down stairs, and nearly tore down the entry door as he exited the building. He saw 2 people, about his own age, talking. He ran towards them and was about to ask them several questions, when the man from before opened the doors, and ran towards the boy, panting. He looked at the 2 boys, and said "Oh! Ali....Althalos....You're both here...."

He looked at the boy, and said "Commander, Here is the General, Ali"

The boy looked the man, then the boy called Ali. He talked as if he had known him all his life..... He slowly asked Ali "Who ARE you?"

Commander....General.... the boys brain was about to burst from questions, wondering who the people were, where he was, what had happened and how he got there.

That's when it hit him. A question. Something he hadn't thought of since he had woken up. Enough with knowing who those people were, the main question now in the boy's mind was-

    "Who am I?"

"Of course... I'm still alive," Khufu replied, seeming a bit nervous. "I'm not one for killing, but to me, a war is a test of survival." 'How did someone who thinks of war as a survival test ever get to be general?' Silence wondered to herself. Before she could ponder it anymore, the commander came in. She listened to what he said than rumble after. 'Crafty little fellow, isn't he?' She thought after the Reuniclus had finished. What he had said had helped Silence complete an idea she had been forming. "If I may speak, commander?" she called to Hector.

The police officer walked into the store pointing his gun at mark. "Whooaa, put down the gun, im a officer of the armed forces." "On the ground! Now!" 'my god, im having sh*ty luck now' mark thought to himself. Mark had an idea. "If you want me to cooperate you have to look up my profile on your terminal." "I don't work out deals with criminals!" "Listen closely. I. AM. NOT. A. THIEF! I Am first lieutenant Mark Vargas of the Human Republic. I, have proof." Mark slowly pulled out his dogtags again and handed them to the officer. "Let's go, move!" The cop ordered mark. Mark walked outside to the police car and sat on the hood. The officer was typing on the computer when he finally said "Sorry lieutenant, your free to go." "It's alright." Mark walked back into the store and ordered the same thing. "The cop is still right out there you know." "JUST ring up the fu*king items already! obviously i have permission to buy this if im back in here!" "37.92" "HERE!" mark slammed the money on the counter and walked back to his car. Mark drove through the city and jumped on route 212. Mark sped through Pastoria city, route 213 and route 222 until he arrived in sunyshore. "Ahhh, the coast, who doesn't like beaches." Mark talked to himself. Mark pulled up to his apartment and hopped out of his car with his smg and pistol holstered and his rpg in his backpack. He needed a housing upgrade, maybe a condo, he could afford it now anyways. Mark walked into the complex and to the elevator, he was feeling lazy today. Three other people were in the elevator, obviously staring at the heavily armed man in the elevator. Mark pushed the 3rd floor button and the elevator jerked upward. The elevator stoped on the 3rd floor with a *ding* and mark stepped out. His apartment was on the beach side of the place. Vargas walked over to the door and unlocked it with the key. Mark stepped inside and laid down on his memory foam bed to hopefully sleep for an hour or two, god knows he needed sleep.

  • Ali Krista
    Outside Oreburgh Hospital

Ali nodded at Althalos distractedly as the boy spoke of his boredom.

"Yes, yes..." Ali replied vacantly. "There's a few reinforcements needed around here, I expect that the PR will attack as soon as possible and this base is a little run down... If you want to look into that, then be my--"

Ali was interrupted by the sound of clumsy feet tearing through the hospital doors behind him. Ali wheeled around to see Commander Jack hurtling towards him, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Jack! You're alri-" He began, but there was something wrong. The young Commander had fear etched into his face, along with complete bewilderment. He looked at Ali as if he'd never seen him before, the look of confusion on his face startling the General.

    ""Oh! Ali....Althalos....You're both here...."
Behind Jack came a young scientist, panting for breath as he had apparently chased Jack from the ICU. He turned to the once strong Commander, who was now nothing more than a scared little boy.
"Commander, Here is the General, Ali."

Ali tried to smile encouragingly at Jack, but the boy was struggling to recognise Ali's face.
"...Who ARE you?" The Commander asked, leaving Ali as confused as his superior.

"I - I'm your General, Jack. Don't... don't you remember?" The fear on Jack's face made sense now, as something within Ali had clicked. The man had suffered severe trauma, and was having memory lapses. That must be it.

Jack looked into Ali's face with a blank expression. "Who am I?"

Knowing that Jack had amnesia did nothing to help them. Ali forced himself to keep calm, although he was pretty sure his medication was keeping him from freaking out. He placed a reassuring hand on Jack's human shoulder, and allowed his eyes to bore into the Commander's.

"Your name is Jack Spark. You've experienced a bit of a bad day, but we'll look after you, all right?" Ali tried to blanket his concern with a smile, before turning to the scientist.

"Could you please tell the hospital staff that we need a private room? Tell no one of what has happened until I give the go ahead, you understand? Thank you."
The scientist walked off, and Ali gestured to Althalos to help him with Jack.

"We're going to take you inside, all right? You're doing fine."

    Apartment 12

Mark woke up with a yawn. He got out of bed and opened the glass doors to the beachfront balcony. "Man, i missed this life." Mark took a seat on the plastic chair outside pulling out his checklist. "Let's see, the rifle is in the weapon trunk at the foor of my bed, so check, but where the hell am i going to get 74 beer bottles, even i can't drink that much, nor would i want to." Mark stood up, time to start the hunt for the items. 'I should probably start with armor' mark thought. He walked to the door and opened it, walked out and closed it behind him.'Might also be a good idea to go to the base to see whats up' He thought to himself as he walked to the elevator. A child pushed the ground floor button, the steel doors closed and the lift gave off the signature *Ding* as it started it's descent. Mark walked out of the elevator and to the front desk. "Did i get any mail while i was gone?" "Ahh, Vargas, you got a package, it's labeled First Lieutenant Mark Vargas, looks official." Jorge said "Is it from the HR?" "Nah, this letter was taped to it though, says its from someone named Rachel." 'How does she know where i live, why would she send me something, she just gave me a ride to sunyshore.' Jorge snapped mark out of his thoughts by shoving the box at mark who pulled out a pocket knife and sliced the tape open. Mark read the letter before opening the box anymore. Mark, Good luck with the war, inside the box is another letter telling you why whats in there is in there Mark and Jorge's jaws dropped when they saw the stacks of $100 bills. "There has to be at least 1 million dollars in here!" Mark grabbed the letter taped on the inside of the box. the letter said That 150 you gave me, i won big at the slots, this is only a tiny amount of what i won. Good luck 1LT "I can get a condo now, want one too jorge? on me." "s.. sh.. sure" "You can work the front desk there instead of here." "Y... Your right, i can!" Mark went to the condo complex down the street and purchased to condos across the hall from each other. Mark then proceeded to hire people to move all his stuff to the condo. Mark left his new condo while the muscle moved everything in and walked to the bank. Mark stuck 1,000 in his pocket and walked up to the counter. "Hi, i would like to put all this in the bank." "umm........ s sure." the lady took the box and put it in a vault. 'Back to business then' mark thought to himself. 'Where to find DragonSkin armor, i don't even remember where i got it the first time.'

"My name is Rumble.. So, as we all know, Oreburgh, like every other human city has sewers. The entrance to the sewers of Oreburgh city is just outside the town. I happen to have a... laboratory in these sewers, right under their armory."

Hector listened along with the others, but did not speak. He would save his comments for later. But one thing was true: this Pokemon and his laboratory had change the battlefield scope quite a bit. He turned his attention back to the Pokemon.

"I know how to get in, and out of there. And... before I left that place, I planted a Transmittor, which lets me know what exactly is going on there with this remote right here."

Hector was hearing some of this for the first time as well. He was very interested in the Pokemon. He was clearly intelligent, but also strong. A dangerous combination to have when fighting against humans. But Hector also felt quite a bit of malevolence from his as well. Nevertheless, he knew whoever he was, and wherever he came from, he would be a good asset in the war effort.

"We will be able to get our troops inside the city safely from the entrance of the sewers. But there are two exits, one next to the armory and one in the north part of the town. It's up to the Commander what we will do."

This was where Hector believed he should join and begin speaking again. Rumble began speaking about a few of the defenses around the city, which Hector noted, then turned his attention back to the path in. As Rumble finished, another Pokemon spoke up. Hector remembered Silence, who was with Jack when they were in their other base.

    "If I may speak, commander?"

Hector nodded, interested in what she had to say.

"Lydia, are you okay?" Rumble approached them and winked at Lydia. Was the wink really necessary? Hoping that Rumble didn't have any intentions, Wade followed from behind, keeping an eye on the mechanic genius. He had heard of this Rumble, but he hadn't seen him in person. He was indeed smaller than he had thought, but his voice was powerful and convincing.

"I saw what you did...If you need anything, the key to my apartment is under the mat at the entrance". That sentence made Wade feel a little uncomfortable. He's giving her the key to his office...getting a little worried, he hid his emotions deep inside of him - something he was good at. Even the best Psychic types couldn't tell his emotions apart when Wade tried to hide them. Surely this Rumble couldn't tell...that he was jealous.

"Looks like another war is in preparation. We better listen," Lydia spoke, her warm voice melting Wade's cold heart once again as she paced ahead of him, urging him to follow. Following like a mouse running towards cheese, Wade continued to walk along his partner. Lydia did say that he was her partner, but she had never said that he's her girlfriend. When he thought about Rumble being friendly-overly, strangely friendly, he could barely hide his jealousy and concern.

Deciding to find out later, Wade followed the others into the room and listened to Rumble's little speech. Oreburgh was the armory of the Human Rebellion, and destroying it would give them a large advantage.

"I was able to get word for these defense systems by infiltrating the human communication channels. That's all I could find: an electric fence around the town, which will prevent our troops from getting in the usual way. And, the cowardly humans developed an escape plan, to Mt. Coronet." Rumble informed everybody, and Wade nodded with the others. Lydia seemed to be attracted to his words, which bothered the Shiny Umbreon.

Silence seemed to have something on her mind, "If I may speak, commander?" she called to Hector. Then Wade had an idea. This was his chance to shine in front of Lydia. His rings glowing brightly with his emotions, he spoke, breaking the short silence before Silence could even speak.

"Rumble, I can visit mount Coronet and block their escape route by creating roadblocks with boulders." Wade suggested, "I'll find the exit on Mount Coronet and fill it with large pieces of metal and rock. When they find out that their exit has been blocked, it'll be too late."

If he could succeed in this, his fame would rise to another level, and perhaps Lydia would really love him then...he was doing everything, because he wanted the Zorua to love him. It seemed that Lydia was just liking him, nothing more,... since she was more interested in Rumble.Does she love me? Wade thought, feeling more and more miserable with that thought. But he knew he would complete his mission, and Lydia would be impressed...

Going alone. It was going to be a dangerous mission. But he didn't know that he would die in this dangerous mission...nobody knew.

(OOC: *smirks* I'm planning to make him die in this mission)

"If I may speak, commander?" the Weavile Rumble saw before asked. Rumble smirked she didn't let the Commander speak. But before she could even open her mouth, the shiny Umbreon that was with Lydia before spoke.

"Rumble, I can visit mount Coronet and block their escape route by creating roadblocks with boulders."

"I'll find the exit on Mount Coronet and fill it with large pieces of metal and rock. When they find out that their exit has been blocked, it'll be too late."

Rumble raised both his eyebrows in a playful way, challenging the Umbreon. Him, that mission? He doesn't seem worthy... But if he's in this room, he's gotta have something. But look at his rings, weird colours indeed...
This led Rumble to believe the Umbreon was worried about something. He'd noticed he was glancing at Lydia sometimes.
He wore his smile again, and answered.

"I don't see why not. But it's upto the Commander what you'll do... am I right?" his smile got bigger as he was putting emphasis on his last words. What does this guy think, I'm the boss? Hahah.. something's going on here. Is he trying to impress her or something? It's the wrong way, I feel. But this guy is gonna mess with my plans... And what if he does something stupid?
With these thoughts in his mind he stared at Lydia straight into her eyes. And then at Wade.

Hector waited to hear Silence speak, only to see that Wade interrupted and spoke in her stead. He didn't like people who spoke out of turn, finding it both insulting to the person currently speaking, and to the rest of the room. But Hector kept his comments to himself for now. He assumed Wade had good reason to interrupt.

"Rumble, I can visit mount Coronet and block their escape route by creating roadblocks with boulders." Wade suggested, "I'll find the exit on Mount Coronet and fill it with large pieces of metal and rock. When they find out that their exit has been blocked, it'll be too late."

    Rumble spoke back.

"I don't see why not. But it's up to the Commander what you'll do... am I right?"

Hector looked over both of them. Wade was pretty young, but he had seen quite a bit of action in his short time in the PokeRebels. But he also had no tact for planning, it seems, and could have been motivated by personal reasons more than by the cause, which is alright, in certain cases, but not in this one. He also seemed a bit too reckless, but still, quite brave. But he was going to attempt something Hector had specifically warned about. He didn't want any more Pokemon dying recklessly, and for no reason. No. He couldn't let him do it.

"Your request for this mission is denied, Wade, and I'll tell you why: In this conflict with the humans, we are the invaders. That is the most notable fact in this battle. As the invaders, we have to realize one thing. The last battle had seen a lot of Pokemon die, good Pokemon. I will NOT let that many die under my command again. Because if we keep having Pyrrhic Victories like that, we can kiss victory in this whole war goodbye."

He looked at all of them, most of them not going to expect what he'll say next.

"Which is why I have determined that we leave their exit to Mount Coronet open." He stopped to give everyone a moment to take the info in.

"Think about it, if we get rid of their only exit out of the city, they won't have anywhere to retreat. Allow your opponents an escape route. Forces are more likely to retreat if a plausible route is open. If they're completely cut off, determined resistance can be expected. They will understand that they will die here, and they will fight to the last man, and we, in the process, could lose hundreds. Hundreds that don't need to die. That...is why we leave them their escape route, and we keep this strategy up for ALL of our battles. In this way, we can save many lives, lives that don't need to be lost. If you all take a moment to understand my words, you will realize this is the best way. We keep them on the run, until we have taken all of their bases. Humans may be the enemy, but they are much like us. They don't want to die. They want to live, and if we keep winning, until they have lost enough bases, and lost enough battles, they will eventually give in, and we will get victory."

Hector had actually learned something from his brief talk with Althalos. He learned that he would rather live to fight another day than t die for nothing, and Hector knew many other humans probably thought the same way, so in a way, this strategy he was implementing was based on knowledge of the human race, even from the briefest talk he had with Althalos, for however long he was their prisoner.

It was funny. Even though Hector didn't expect it, he had actually learned something from the human. He turned his attention back to everyone in the conference room, waiting to see their replies and reactions. He wondered if Silence would speak her mind now as well. They might not always like it, but Hector was in charge, and they would listen to him, even if his commands weren't always popular. He wasn't here to be popular. He was here to do what's right.
