Well it's very green for one thing. I'll say that much. Perhaps green like a Lilligant or a Snivy.

I haven't seen much of the Pokemon anime these days. I heard from other people that it's bad. Last I saw of it was the beginning of XY and I haven't enjoyed it. I felt it was a step down from BW and the earlier seasons.

Those people who you likely heard the anime was "bad" were most likely referring to the BW saga, which was horribly rushed and had the worst filler arc in history, plus most of Ash's team got barely any development at all.

I do love 5th Gen, but that is mainly from the gaming standpoint.

I actually find the fillers in XYZ even worse than DA!'s imo. XYZ has good Zygarde plot-related episodes, the non-plot (but not filler) are OK but the fillers...at least DA had Alexa, Clair, the Cilan-related episode, and those Beyeehem that literally called Team Rocket (and Ash I think) stupid.

I actually like Best Wishes a lot. Ash wasn't written the best battling wise but his personality was amazing imo. I personally think AG did a great job balancing his childish side and his battling skills.

Welcome to PT, Eyes! I can guess what other forum you've come from, and yes... It is very green!

I haven't watched the anime in a few years. I marathon'd through the Diamond and Pearl series after Meadow recommended it, and it was decent. The X/Y & Z series sounds like it could be fun to watch.

I have never been a huge fan of the DP anime. I do love the Gen IV games though (not HGSS).

I think mostly the battles are what made the Diamond and Pearl anime decent. I don't think that arc would have had much going for it if the battles weren't amazing to watch.

They put too much emphasis on Ash's eyebrows in DP imo. Oh and thanks for the compliment, Spoonette!

I'll always be sentimental towards Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. It was my first pokemon game.
 
77 gen 4 is my fave gen, though I haven't watched the anime season lols

I just wish Diamond and Pearl had a better Pokedex. I know they fixed this in Platinum but still.

And yes Gen 4, game and anime-wise were great! Obviously the anime is not perfect but I thought DP did the best job overall.

In order of best sagas of the anime in terms of my enjoyment I would have to say: 1. DP 2. XYZ 3. Johto 4. AG T-5th. Kanto/Orange Islands and BW
